The Darkness is a first-person shooter video game developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by 2K Games for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was released in June 2007 in North America and Europe and is based on the comic book of the same name. A sequel titled The Darkness II was released in February 2012.
The player takes the role of Jackie Estacado (voiced by Kirk Acevedo), with the story presented as a future-narrative on the present events observed by the player. On the eve of his 21st birthday, Jackie is targeted for assassination by "Uncle" Paulie Franchetti (voiced by Dwight Schultz), a New York Mafia boss, following a failed task to retrieve money for the latter. While hiding in a cemetery bathroom, the Darkness (voiced by Mike Patton), an ancient demonic force that has inhabited his family for several generations, awakens within Jackie and slaughters the remaining mobsters, with the benefit of Jackie becoming the possessor of seemingly unholy demonic abilities that work only in the dark. Using these powers, Jackie proceeds to destroy Paulie's business by killing his biggest drug peddler, Dutch Oven Harry (voiced by Richard Leighton), and burning down the slaughterhouse where he stores his money. In retribution, Paulie and his main enforcer, Captain Eddie Shrote (voiced by Jim Mathers) of the New York City Police Department, kidnap Jackie's girlfriend Jenny Romano (voiced by Lauren Ambrose). They take her to the orphanage where Jackie and Jenny grew up and murder her in front of a powerless Jackie, who is unable to save Jenny due to the Darkness deliberately restraining him.

Kiss 105-108 is East Anglia's radio station, playing dance music and R'n'B across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and North Essex. It has been known as Vibe 105-108, Vibe FM and briefly Non-Stop Vibe which ran successfully from 22 November 1997 until relaunch on 6 September 2006 as part of the Kiss network, alongside sister stations Vibe 101 in Bristol (which became Kiss 101 on the same date) and Kiss 100, London.
All three Kiss stations started to carry the new Kiss logo, and the core music genre followed Kiss 100's more urban bias (the Vibe music brand was much more dance oriented). Kiss 105-108 and Kiss 101 retained some shows and DJs who had presented under the Vibe brand, but also offered shows that were simulcast by one DJ across two or all three stations including international high profile DJs such as Armin Van Buuren and John Digweed.
Kiss 105-108 used to be broadcast from Reflection House, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, however now relays Kiss 100 for everything.
WALR-FM is an urban adult contemporary-formatted radio station based in Atlanta, Georgia. Utilizing the "Kiss FM" brand (technically as "Kiss 104"), it is owned by Cox Media Group and the designated flagship urban contemporary station under its ownership. WALR-FM is licensed to Greenville and broadcasts on a class C0 100-kilowatt signal on the 104.1 megahertz (MHz) frequency near Newnan, although its radio transmitter was originally located in LaGrange, also the location for a construction permit for a broadcast translator of sister station WSB-TV). In late 2004, after WALR switched to the new tower, it also began broadcasting in IBOC digital radio, using the HD Radio system from iBiquity. WALR has studios co-located with its radio partners and WSB-TV in midtown. The station runs a digital subchannel (or "HD-2") of dance music. It is the Atlanta affiliate for The Tom Joyner Morning Show.
The FM station licensed to 104.1 in LaGrange, Georgia (well southwest of Atlanta) signed on the air on September 1, 1947 as WLAG-FM and carried a country music format in the 1970s. The station changed their call letters to WWCG in 1977 and continued with a country format. In the mid 1980s, the station broadcast Al Ham's syndicated "Music Of Your Life" nostalgia format with the WJYF and WJYA-FM call letters. It was a simulcast partner with WJYA AM 1080 (now Korean language WFTD AM). In 1987, the station became urban contemporary-formatted, WEKS, "Urban Kiss 104". In 1989, WEKS changed to a country music station WYAI (Y104), simulcasting with WYAY FM (Y107) on the other side of Atlanta, when it was acquired by NewCity Communications. In 1994, the simulcast ended, and 104.1 switched to a contemporary jazz format, as WJZF "Jazz Flavors 104.1".
WXKS-FM (107.9 FM), better known as Kiss 108, is a radio station in Boston, Massachusetts, licensed to nearby Medford broadcasting a contemporary hit radio format. Owned by iHeartMedia, Inc., the station operates on 107.9 FM, and is sister stations to rhythmic contemporary WJMN, once a major rival to Kiss, and country music outlet WBWL.
The station's studios are located in Medford and the transmitter site sits atop Prudential Tower in downtown Boston.
Kiss 108 is one of the most prominent top 40 stations in New England, notable primarily for its annual Kiss Concert, which draws some of the best-known names in the pop music business to Mansfield's Xfinity Center concert venue each spring. Morning DJ Matt Siegel has been a fixture on the Boston airwaves since 1981, and was briefly nationally syndicated during the late 1990s. Kiss 108 was also the flagship station for Open House Party Saturday hosted by John Garabedian, broadcasting from his house in suburban Boston, but on March 10, 2007, Kiss 108 dropped Saturday edition Open House Party and began a new show called The Saturday Night Mash-Up, and later, the syndicated Saturday Night Online. The Sunday edition of Open House Party hosted by Kannon was broadcast shortly on Kiss 108, replacing the Saturday night show, until May 2008.
Darkness, the polar opposite to brightness, is understood to be an absence of visible light. It is also the appearance of black in a colored space.
Humans are unable to distinguish color when either light or darkness predominate. In conditions of insufficient light, perception is achromatic and ultimately, black.
The emotional response to darkness has generated metaphorical usages of the term in many cultures.
The perception of darkness differs from the mere absence of light due to the effects of after images on perception. In perceiving, the eye is active, and that part of the retina that is unstimulated produces a complementary afterimage.
In terms of physics, an object is said to be dark when it absorbs photons, causing it to appear dim compared to other objects. For example, a matte black paint does not reflect much visible light and appears dark, whereas white paint reflects much light and appears bright. For more information see color.
Light cannot be absorbed without limit. According to the principle of the conservation of Energy, energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be converted from one type to another. Consequently, most objects that absorb visible light reemit it as heat. So, although an object may appear dark, it is likely bright at a frequency that humans cannot perceive. For more information see thermodynamics.
Kiss me kiss me kiss me
Your tongue is like poison
So swollen it fills up my mouth
Love me love me love me
You nail me to the floor
And push my guts all inside out
Get it out get it out get it out
Get your fucking voice
Out of my head
I never wanted this
I never wanted any of this
I wish you were dead
I wish you were dead
I never wanted any of this
I wish you were dead
Dead
Dead
