Jack White doing Jack White whether we approve or not.

"Blunderbuss"
I had my dream
I held your hand
On that broad avenue
We crossed the road
And never spoke
To another as we flew
We left your man
Alone in drag
Laughing there at us
A romantic bust
A blunder turned
Explosive blunderbuss

An ancient grand hotel of Persian thread and ivory
And when your man would turn his head I’d see you look at me
Pools of brown and sea of red
And demons in your pocket
That same romance
Performed a dance
Inside your silver locket

Da da da da
Da da da da

A corner exit not tall enough
To walk out standing straight
Designed by men so ladies
Would have to lean back in their gait
You grabbed my arm and left with me
But you were not allowed to
You took me to a public place
To quietly blend into
Such a trick pretending not to be
Doing what you want to do
But seems like everybody does this
Every waking moment

I laid you down and touched you
Like the two of us both needed
Safe to say that others might not
Approve of this and pleaded
“So selfish them” would be their cry
And who’d be brave to argue?
Doin' what you people need
Is never on the menu

Wanda Jackson and Jack: His newest Loretta?

So the latest news about Jack White isn't that the White Stripes will be playing again. Unfortunately, it isn't that the dreadful Dead Weather has disbanded. It's not about his collaboration with some R&B singer either.

Actually, depending on how you look at it, the news that he's going to produce old school and still kicking, Rockabilly gal, Wanda Jackson might be a good thing. I say might because some may be a bit skeptical as whether or not he can top his work on Van Lear Rose. This isn't to say that Wanda Jackson isn't incredible. She's as true as a pistol whip. It's nice to see JW is working with someone who can bring out the best in him.

As most of my readers know, he has been really freaking me out for a while now, but once again I'm going to have faith. I also hear that he trying to produce a Rolling Stones record...

I'm still hoping that him and Greg cartwright sit down for coffee someday soon.

Anyway kittens, here's a nice little Wanda Jackson album to get you acquainted with the woman who most people refer to as "The Queen of Rockabilly." She dated Elvis. I don't know why that's weird right now.

Hey gang! It's been a long week full of diaper changes long hours at the job, and Russia's gift to the planet: Vodka. It hasn't been a bad week, but I can tell you that my head's in a scramble. No particular reason. Maybe it's the changin' of the seasons...maybe it's because of those dancin' shows all over my TV set? I ain't mad at em.

I got myself a new computer. One of those fancy Imac things. I'm still getting used to the whole thing, but that's only because I've been a PC.

Me and my bike are far apart tonight. I'm thinkin' about going to get her. She'll be mad too. I forgot her. Well, not so much forgot, as much as I abandoned her and got into a car with a woman. Hey, don't get yourself warm....we ain't did nothin'. Ooh, she's probably paint peelin' mad right now, sitting in that cold, dark, loading dock in Hollywood. Don't worry baby! I'm comin'! Maybe I'll stop off and pickup some batteries for her lil' headlight. Yeah...she'd like that, I bet.

While I'm out lookin' for my baby...please enjoy this Hank Williams record and have yerself a little drink. It's called "A Tribute to Hank. Volume 2"

Jack White and Alicia Keys...

...got together and made an overproduced song that will be fawned over by millions. To me however, this is the duet that made me swoon.

Blanche are incredible.

I am a really huge fan of this band because they somehow make a brand of music that seems old timey at the same time as sounding very today.

Led by Dan Miller, who at one time was the frontman in a Cow Punk band called Goober and the Peas, which also featured members of the Detroit Cobras and a little guy by the name of Jack White.

Today he, along with his wife Tracee, lead an incredibly tight band that has so much substance, all other bands should quit today.

Please enjoy "If we can't trust the doctors"

Please use your cash to buy product from Blanche.

Loretta Lynn was Patsy's best friend

Click here to go to Fist City.

So many wonderful things have been said about the incredible Ms. Lynn that anything that I type here would be redundant.

If there are any of you folks out there that have not seen the film "Coal Miner's Daughter" please get out there and get yourself a copy.

Don't you wish Van Lear Rose was out on vinyl?

PS. If you use this link on your blog, mention my blog. I HEART that stuff.

Patsy Cline was Loretta's best friend

If you don't like country music this woman will do her best to be polite while changin' your mind.
This album is called "That wonderful someone"

Most folks are only aware of this Country crooner because of the movie "Girl, Interupted" because it's her song playing in the background when Ms. Chicken Kitchen is found hanging from the ceiling.

Fans of Glasgow act Camera Obscura will be delighted to hear track#12.
