JAMES GRANT In A Broken Dream (2013)

Itunes:

Ebay auction of original artwork by Dave Kirkwood, proceeds to Teenage Cancer:

Info:

From James' Facebook:
In A Broken Dream
I did this as a Twitter/FB thing - bit of fun, record a cover version.. did it in a day in my kitchen. The idea for the song was suggested by Dave Kirkwood who I was involved with on the fantastic 3hundredand65 project in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust http://www.3hundredand65.co.uk/
The original is such a coruscating slab of rock, I felt I had to approach it differently.
There was something about it when I recorded it, I don't know, just felt like I'd captured,"something". I thought, why not release it? I've given away plenty of free downloads, why not see if folk will pay 50p, a quid, whatever..for it. Let's see what happens.
I had to get in touch with the original publishers, never having done anything like this before, so I sent them it. They called me right away and said that they loved it - that's why it's taken so long..been talking to them. As I say, we'll see..
It should be ready for download by the weekend, I'll keep you posted obviously.
It's a digital only release and will be available on itunes, amazon, 7digital, Spotify etc. etc.
Dave Kirkwood is a fantastic artist, he very kindly offered to do the artwork.
I think it's stunning.
This is a one-off. I've decided to auction this on ebay, all proceeds go to Teenage Cancer Trust. I'll sign it if the winner so wishes..http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130851237361

LOVE AND MONEY The Devils Debt (Pre-Order Now!)

LOVE & MONEY
After their triumphant sell out shows at Scotland's Celtic Connections and The SECC in Glasgow and a handful of shows throughout Britain Love & Money now felt the time was right to revisit a forgotten element of their past..
The Mother's Boy was an ambitious double album which for various reasons was abandoned, with some of the songs surfacing on the classic Dogs In The Traffic.
The band have re-recorded some of these songs, which, allied to some completely new songs has resulted in their first album for 20 years..THE DEVIL'S DEBT.
Put simply; this is classic Love & Money.
Featuring the elements which they became renowned for;
Pristine production; learned from the masters the band worked with - Tom Dowd and Gary Katz..soaring vocals, guitars and strings and the impeccable lyricism of writer James Grant.
Both statuesque and guilefully catchy, this is the essence of Love And Money..2012
THE DEVIL'S DEBT special limited Collectors edition vinyl album with CD featuring 2 exclusive extra tracks and signed by the band available from the 12th September.
Price £21 (incl p+p).
Available for general release on CD from 24th September 2012.

JAMES GRANT of LOVE AND MONEY says:

This email reached me in october:

JAMES GRANT NEWS

This is something I've always said I'd never do...but this year during a few of my solo shows, I've been playing more of my old songs and I think I've gradually accepted that this is okay now.
Why not, when in essence, people just want to hear them played again?
I did a particular show in June this year when the audience chose the songs; the gig was seventy five percent Love And Money. Thing is, I enjoyed it..

Five albums on as a solo artist, I feel as if I've put enough distance between me and my old band to be able to do this..
This is about getting together with old friends(and fans)and having a good time.

Apologies over.

So...

As part of Celtic Connections 2011, on Sunday January 16th at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, LOVE AND MONEY will be performing our two best albums in their entirety; Dogs In The Traffic and Strange Kind Of Love (it is the twenty fifth anniversary of this records release).

I'm giving you the heads up, tickets will be available from the 19th October.

I guess I'll see you there.

ENOUGH SAID...
These are just two of my favourite JAMES GRANT and LOVE AND MONEY songs:
James Grant - Does It All Add Up To Nothing
Love And Money - She Carved Her Name

SLAINTE, JAMES!!! I hope to see you there!!!

Hi listeners.
Imagine your love has to leave you for three weeks and you need something to cool you down when you feel lonely.
But it should not make you sadder than you already are. It's supposed to guide you on a mind trip to your loved one and do the same to her or him.
Look at the moon at the same time as your love does!
Lay down on your bed, put on your headphones and listen to this:
