Brooksby is a disused village in Leicestershire, England. It is the ancestral home of the Villiers family. Brooksby and surrounding villages was served by Brooksby railway station.
Brooksby Hall is a 16th-century manor house and its church are all that remains of a village that was cleared to enable sheep to be graxed. The church was once the living for Henry Gregg who was married to the writer Mary Kirby. Today the hall has conference and banqueting facilities. Brooksby Melton College offers apprenticeships and further education training courses in animal care, countryside, equine, fisheries, and land based service engineering.
Brooksby Melton College is a further education college based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. The college has two campuses: the first is in Melton Mowbray itself and the second about 6 miles (10 km) west of Melton in the village of Brooksby including the late–16th-century manor house, Brooksby Hall.
The college announced a link up with Rugby League side Leicester Storm of the Conference League South in 2015 following a £3.65m construction of state-of-the-art sport facilities at their Brooksby Melton College site. The club would be based and continue to play matches their as well as a link up between the two to set up a Rugby League academy

trip to NYC Jan 16-18 2011 day 1 bus to Grand Central Station, walked to my hotel from there, about 30 minutes, coming upon Time Square - WOW. Checked in, then out again and walked for hours, had dinner at 2am[!], went back anxious to start another day. Day 2 had several hours before having to be at the Letterman taping, so found a 3 hour bus tour - and so lucky - there were only 3 of us on it, so we got the full story on so many things - why is NYC called the 'big apple'? From racetrack years ago the jockey got the trophy, the owner the money, and in New York, the horse was given a big shiny red apple! The largest Catholic church was on the tour, beautiful inside and out, and then Soho, Chelsea, and on to the Miracle Church. Called the little miracle, it stood between the two towers ...
