Tourist LeMC, of Johannes Faes, bracht in 2013 de heruitgave van zijn debuutalbum, “Antwerps Testament”, uit bij Top Notch. Op dit album trad Tourist naar voren als rapper, volksartiest & verhalen verteller die de sociale tradities van rap & folk verbindt met huidige themas. In zijn teksten functioneert thuishaven Antwerpen vaak als microcosmos voor problemen van overal & alledag. De bekendste singles van het album waren “Liefde, Liefde”, “Mijn Stad”, & “Visa Paspor” ft. Typhoon.
Het sociale engagement van “Antwerps Testament” wordt doorgetrokken op het nieuwe album, maar nu geeft Tourist zich ook meer als persoon te kennen. Op “En Route” bevindt hij zich op een kruispunt. Aan de ene kant blikt hij terug op zichzelf en het pad dat hij heeft afgelegd, als mens en als artiest, en is het een (soms harde) evaluatie. Maar het is ook een manifest, met de blik stevig vooruit, waarin Tourist te kennen geeft dat hij nog maar pas begonnen is.

Troubadour
A troubadour (English /ˈtruːbədʊər/, French: [tʁubaduʁ]; Occitan: trobador, IPA: [tɾuβaˈðu]) was a composer and performer of Old Occitan lyric poetry during the High Middle Ages (1100–1350). Since the word troubadour is etymologically masculine, a female troubadour is usually called a trobairitz.
The troubadour school or tradition began in the late 11th century in Occitania, but it subsequently spread into Italy and Spain. Under the influence of the troubadours, related movements sprang up throughout Europe: the Minnesang in Germany, trovadorismo in Galicia and Portugal, and that of the trouvères in northern France. Dante Alighieri in his De vulgari eloquentia defined the troubadour lyric as fictio rethorica musicaque poita: rhetorical, musical, and poetical fiction. After the "classical" period around the turn of the 13th century and a mid-century resurgence, the art of the troubadours declined in the 14th century and eventually died out around the time of the Black Death (1348).

George Harvey Strait (born May 18, 1952) is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and music producer known as the "King of Country" and one of the most influential and popular recording artists of all time. He is known for his neotraditionalist country style, cowboy look, and being one of the first and main country artists to bring country music back to its roots and away from the pop country era in the 1980s.
Strait's success began when his first single "Unwound" was a hit in 1981. During the 1980s, seven of his albums reached number one on the country charts. In the 2000s, Strait was named Artist of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music, was elected into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and won his first Grammy award for the album Troubadour. Strait was named CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1989, 1990 and 2013, and ACM Entertainer of the Year in 1990 and 2014. He has been nominated for more CMA and ACM awards and has more wins in both categories than any other artist. In 2009, he broke Conway Twitty's previous record for the most number-one hits on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart when his 44 number one singles surpassed Twitty's 40. Counting all music charts, Strait has amassed a total of 60 number-one hits, breaking a record also previously set by Twitty, and giving him more number one songs than any other artist in any genre of music. Strait is also known for his touring career when he designed a 360- degree configuration and introduced a festival style tours. For example, the Strait Tours earned $90 million in three years. George Strait was successful innovating country music and in numerous aspects of being a part of popular music.

Tourist LeMC

Tourist LeMC (born 1984, in Schoten) is the artist name of the Flemish singer Johannes Faes. He sings in his local Antverpian dialect; his music is mainly influenced by French hiphop, and also by reggae, cabaret and folk.
Biography
In December 2010 his debut album Antwerps Testament appeared, and in 2012 he reached the final of the Flemish music competition Humo's Rock Rally. Three years later a remastered and extended version (with two tracks) of his first album was redistributed under a Dutch hiphop label.
In 2014 he brought out two EPs during the preparation of a new album, En route, which came out in early 2015. Later that year, he earned a gold music certificate for this album. In January 2016, Tourist gained more fame and recognition by being nominated for five Music Industry Awards and winning two, as "best singer in Dutch" and "breakthrough of the year".

John Weldon Cale (December 5, 1938 – July 26, 2013), professionally known as J.J. Cale, was an American singer-songwriter, recording artist and influential guitar stylist. Though he deliberately avoided the limelight (being temperamentally averse to celebrity) his influence as a musical artist has been widely acknowledged by figures such as Mark Knopfler, Neil Young and Eric Clapton who described him as “one of the most important artists in the history of rock”. He is considered to be one of the originators of the Tulsa Sound, a loose genre drawing on blues, rockabilly, country, and jazz.
Many songs written by Cale have been recorded by other artists, including "After Midnight" and "Cocaine" by Eric Clapton; "Call Me the Breeze" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Mayer, Johnny Cash and Bobby Bare; "Clyde" by Waylon Jennings and Dr. Hook; "I Got The Same Old Blues" by Captain Beefheart, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Freddie King; and "Magnolia" by Beck, Lucinda Williams and Iron and Wine Jose Feliciano and Ben Bridwell.

Flip Kowlier
Flip Kowlier (pseudonym of Filip Willy Mariette Cauwelier, born 1976 in Izegem, West Flanders) is a Belgian singer-songwriter. He sings in a distinct West Flemish dialect. He is an MC with the hip hop group, 't Hof van Commerce. And in his solo work he sings and plays guitar, with Karel De Backer and Joost Van den Broeck on drums, Peter Lesage on keyboards and Pieter Van Buyten on bass guitar.

Marianne soon discovers Charles' true-identity and she sets him free, before, the French officers find him. Marianne decides to sail back to Paris with the Police Captain on the ship, 'New Moon', but, they must first stop at Martinique. After Martinique, the ship is invaded by pirates. Marianne is shocked to see that Charles is the leader. That night, a fierce storm occurs, and everyone is ship-wrecked. Now, Charles is the leader and the fun begins...

Tourist LeMC, of Johannes Faes, bracht in 2013 de heruitgave van zijn debuutalbum, “Antwerps Testament”, uit bij Top Notch. Op dit album trad Tourist naar voren als rapper, volksartiest & verhalen verteller die de sociale tradities van rap & folk verbindt met huidige themas. In zijn teksten functioneert thuishaven Antwerpen vaak als microcosmos voor problemen van overal & alledag. De bekendste singles van het album waren “Liefde, Liefde”, “Mijn Stad”, & “Visa Paspor” ft. Typhoon.
Het sociale engagement van “Antwerps Testament” wordt doorgetrokken op het nieuwe album, maar nu geeft Tourist zich ook meer als persoon te kennen. Op “En Route” bevindt hij zich op een kruispunt. Aan de ene kant blikt hij terug op zichzelf en het pad dat hij heeft afgelegd, als mens en als artiest, en is het een (soms harde) evaluatie. Maar het is ook een manifest, met de blik stevig vooruit, waarin Tourist te kennen geeft dat hij nog maar pas begonnen is.
