Griefer

A griefer is a player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately irritates and harasses other players within the game, using aspects of the game in unintended ways. A griefer derives pleasure primarily or exclusively from the act of annoying other users, and as such is a particular nuisance in online gaming communities, since griefers often cannot be deterred by penalties related to in-game goals.

In the culture of massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) in Taiwan, such as Lineage, griefers are known as "white-eyed"—a metaphor meaning that their eyes have no pupils and so they look without seeing. Behaviors other than griefing which can cause players to be stigmatized as "white-eyed" include cursing, cheating, stealing, and unreasonable killing.

History

The term was applied to online, multiplayer computer games by the year 2000 or earlier, as illustrated by postings to the rec.games.computer.ultima.online USENET group. The player is said to cause "grief" in the sense of "giving someone grief".

Raging Stallion Studios

Raging Stallion Studios based in San Francisco, California, is a major adult film studio and one of the world's largest producers of gay pornography. It was begun by Chris Ward and J. D. Slater; Michael Brandon later became a co-owner. Michael Brandon starred in several Raging Stallion films before deciding to buy into the company. All three have produced and directed video features released by the company. Ward focused on doing fetish features with fisting; Slater has a "Centurion Muscle" line; Brandon did a "Monster Bang" line. Slater also worked on soundtracks for the films, and has released some of this music on CDs.

In 2005, Raging Stallion released 22 new feature films. In 2009, Raging Stallion merged with AEBN/NakedSword.com. AEBN then purchased Falcon Studios in 2010.

Raging Planet

Raging Planet is an American documentary television series that originally aired in 1997 and 2009 on the Discovery Channel. The program focuses on natural disasters. It currently airs periodically on the Science Channel.

Summary

The show Raging Planet focuses on natural disasters that happen on Earth, including tornadoes, hurricanes, avalanches, lightning, fires, volcanoes, earthquakes and blizzard It features actual videos taken during disasters, CGI effects, and a few reenactments. The show often had the science behind how these disasters occurred (how lightning forms, how a tornado is born, etc.) as well as case studies of certain disasters. The program often uses scale models rather than CGIs. Rescue workers, scientists, and survivors are interviewed. Actual footage of rescue workers and scientists predicting and researching the featured disaster is used. Season Two was produced in 2008–2009 on HD format from locations around the world. Transmitted in the United States, the United Kingdom, and internationally in 2009 on the Discovery Channel, the series was directed by Mark Westcott, Alex Williamson, Susannah Ward and Martin Gorst, and was produced by Pioneer TV.

A post-office box or post office box (commonly referred to as a PO box or a postal box) is a uniquely addressable lockable box located on the premises of a post office station.

In many regions, particularly in Africa and the Middle East, there is no 'door to door' delivery of mail. For example, should one post mail to a street address in Namibia, it will be returned to sender as undeliverable. Consequently, renting a PO box has traditionally been the only way to receive mail in such countries, although some, like Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon, do have mail home delivery.

Generally, post office boxes are rented from the post office either by individuals or by businesses on a basis ranging from monthly to annual, and the cost of rent varies depending on the box size. Central business district (CBD) PO boxes are usually more expensive than rural PO boxes.

In the United States, the rental rate used to be uniform across the country. Now, however, a postal facility can be in any of seven fee groups by location; in addition, certain customers qualify for free box rental.
