Plot: The story of The Monarch House, a government funded experimental institution for the criminally insane located in the rural countryside. Its patients/inmates are given free reign of the 7-acre estate to do as they please while being subjected to various new methods of drug and psychotherapy. A specially designed microchip surgically implanted into the back of the patient's neck, and a high-voltage invisible fence surrounding the perimeter of the property, prevents any successful escape. Nurse Janet Steele arrives at Monarch House to begin her new job under the guidance of the reputable, but controversial, Dr. Bloom. But upon her arrival she is informed that the good doctor had been savagely murdered by one of the patients, and the institution is now run by second-in-command, Dr. Theodora Grant. Nurse Steele's stay at the infamous Monarch House soon turns into a maddening journey of chaos, cruelty, terror and insanity.

Plot: Banja is a young musical genius, and a veritable "hit-maker". But he has a rebellious streak, and after breaking his contract with his record company (DO-MI-NANT), he finds himself taken prisoner on an island called Hitland. Hitland is inhabited by a group of musicians, all imprisoned there for breaking their contract. The only way of escaping the island is to agree to go back to composing "hits" for the powerful record company. But BANJA refuses to give in, and tries to escape. Unfortunately, the island's guards catch him every time. Whilst trying to find an escape route, Banja meets all the other prisoners on the island, each of whom represents a different musical style (blues, jazz, pop, country, techno, etc...).

Plot: Danila Bagrov meets his army buddy Konstantin Gromov in Moscow, with whom he fought in Chechnya. Plot: The ambitious Ann arrives with the stagecoach in Raton Pass to find herself in the midst of a feud between the Challon and the Pozner families.
