Além da visibilidade mundial, toda cidade que tem a honra de receber os Jogos Olímpicos, no final das competições, ganha um enorme legado de infraestrutura e investimentos feitos para a realização do evento esportivo. Com o Rio de Janeiro não vai ser diferente; um dos primeiros “presentes” que a cidade maravilhosa ganhou para fazer bonito na Olimpíada é o VLT – Veículo Leve sobre Trilhos; transporte e tecnologia de ponta.
O Olhar Digital acompanhou uma das viagens inaugurais do VLT na região central da capital fluminense. Funcionou, mas não sem antes apresentar alguns probleminhas técnicos dignos de uma boa “fase de testes” – esperamos algumas horas além do combinado para dar uma voltinha rápida no VLT. Por dentro, o trem é bastante moderno. Na cabine do condutor, mais do que uma série de botões de comandos, os retrovisores são representados por duas câmeras externas com visão noturna que dão uma visão total das laterais do veículo.
A principal diferença tecnológica do VLT está na sua forma de captação de energia. Cem por centro elétrico, cada carro VLT tem capacidade para transportar até 420 passageiros a uma velocidade média de 17 quilômetros por hora.
Interessante é que mesmo se houver uma pane geral no fornecimento de energia, super baterias instaladas na parte superior do trem dão conta do recado.
A previsão é que o VLT entre em operação já agora, no início de maio. Para a Olimpíada, a prefeitura do Rio diz que pelo menos o primeiro trecho que liga a Rodoviária Novo Rio e o Aeroporto Santos Dumont estará operando normalmente. Serão sete trens no início da operação e nove durante os Jogos Olímpicos. Assim como outros transportes da cidade, o VLT também estará conectado para trazer informações em tempo real aos passageiros – seja nas paradas, informando o tempo estimado de espera, como dentro dos trens, mostrando quanto tempo falta até a próxima estação. Agora é esperar e torcer.

O Olhar Digital acompanhou uma das viagens inaugurais do VLT na região central da capital fluminense. Funcionou, mas não sem antes apresentar alguns probleminhas técnicos dignos de uma boa “fase de testes” – esperamos algumas horas além do combinado para dar uma voltinha rápida no VLT. Por dentro, o trem é bastante moderno. Na cabine do condutor, mais do que uma série de botões de comandos, os retrovisores são representados por duas câmeras externas com visão noturna que dão uma visão total das laterais do veículo.
A principal diferença tecnológica do VLT está na sua forma de captação de energia. Cem por centro elétrico, cada carro VLT tem capacidade para transportar até 420 passageiros a uma velocidade média de 17 quilômetros por hora.
Interessante é que mesmo se houver uma pane geral no fornecimento de energia, super baterias instaladas na parte superior do trem dão conta do recado.
A previsão é que o VLT entre em operação já agora, no início de maio. Para a Olimpíada, a prefeitura do Rio diz que pelo menos o primeiro trecho que liga a Rodoviária Novo Rio e o Aeroporto Santos Dumont estará operando normalmente. Serão sete trens no início da operação e nove durante os Jogos Olímpicos. Assim como outros transportes da cidade, o VLT também estará conectado para trazer informações em tempo real aos passageiros – seja nas paradas, informando o tempo estimado de espera, como dentro dos trens, mostrando quanto tempo falta até a próxima estação. Agora é esperar e torcer.
