Plotinus (/plɒˈtaɪnəs/; Greek: Πλωτῖνος; c. 204/5 – 270) was a major philosopher of the ancient world. In his philosophy there are three principles: the One, the Intellect, and the Soul. His teacher was Ammonius Saccas and he is of the Platonic tradition. Historians of the 19th century invented the term Neoplatonism and applied it to him and his philosophy which was influential in Late Antiquity. Much of the biographical information about Plotinus comes from Porphyry's preface to his edition of Plotinus' Enneads. His metaphysical writings have inspired centuries of Pagan, Christian, Jewish, Islamic and Gnostic metaphysicians and mystics.
Porphyry reported that Plotinus was 66 years old when he died in 270, the second year of the reign of the emperor Claudius II, thus giving us the year of his teacher's birth as around 205. Eunapius reported that Plotinus was born in the Deltaic Lycopolis in Egypt, which has led to speculations that he may have been a native Egyptian of Roman,Greek, or Hellenized Egyptian descent.

In this talk I dive into an overview of the Enneads of Plotinus. We consider its similarity with the rest of so-called ‘perennial philosophy’ and how this doctrine is not compatible with biblical theology and why Augustine was influenced by it in his filioquism. https://jaysanalysis.com/subscribe-for-more/

Neoplatonism, the last school of Greek philosophy, given its definitive shape in the 3rd century AD by the philosopher Plotinus. The ancient philosophers who are generally classified as Neoplatonists called themselves simple “Platonists,” as did the philosophers of the Renaissance and the 17th century whose ideas derive from ancient Neoplatonism.

This is an interview with the artist Prasanna lead by Maurizio Benazzo. In the past 16 years of his life a series of 15 paintings has emerged capturing the ineffable. The only way for these paintings to be experienced in person at Prasanna's home. No photo or video can capture the ineffable aliveness of these paintings. At Science and Nonduality Conference 2011 a few of Prasanna's paintings will be presented. www.ScienceAndNonduality.com
i caught this on the old station Tech TV and taped it in 2001. here ya go. must be 2001 ,,,
i don't care much for tradition
and i know you'll be leaving one day
i cant promise that i'll ever be the one
but if you love me til monday
lets seran wrap for the weekend
and see who comes up for air first
we can go and break some windows
and run and run til our chests are fit to burst
forget we ever said the word
the future is dead
that's what you said
its all in your head you see
not mine
i am fine
i'm alive
i've arrived
we thought we could make a difference
be remembered when the pyramids are dust
but we've had to learn that these bridges that we build
can be as fragile as a loved one's trust
the future is dead
that's what you said
its all in your head you see
not mine
i am fine
i'm alive
i've arrived
here comes my everything
this is my everything
there goes my everything
bye bye love
the future is dead
that's what you said
its all in your head you see
not mine
i am fine
i'm alive
i've arrived
the future is dead
that's what you said
its all in your head you see
not mine
i am fine
i'm alive
i've arrived
lets forget about the question
we've been dragging 'round for years
clear the smokey air between us
then say goodbye
