An act is an instrument that records a fact or something that has been said, done, or agreed. Acts generally take the form of legal instruments of writing that have probative value and executory force. They are usually accepted as self-authenticating demonstrative evidence in court proceedings, though with the precarious status of notaries public and their acts under common law, this is not always so.
Common types of acts are legislative, judicial, and notarial acts.
Legislative acts (fully, acts of statute), or more commonly statutes, are the cornerstone of statutory and regulatory law. They may include in a monarchical system any royal edict, proclamation, or decree setting forth or establishing law as it affects all citizens. In parliamentary or congressional systems, acts passed by a legislature are known as acts of Parliament or acts of Congress.
A notarial act (or notarial instrument or notarial writing) is any written narration of facts (recitals) drawn up by a notary public or civil-law notary authenticated by his signature and official seal and detailing a procedure which has been transacted by or before him in his official capacity. A notarial act is the only lawful means of proving those facts of which it is the recognized record, whereas on other matters it is usually inadmissible, because, being beyond the powers entrusted to the notary by law, it is non-official. In most common-law countries, multiple-page acts are bound together using a sewn or knotted ribbon (referred to as silk), the ends of which are secured by a wafer impressed with the notary's seal. This is called annexing or annexure.

A document is a written, drawn, presented or recorded representation of thoughts. Originating from the Latin Documentum meaning lesson - the verb doceō means to teach, and is pronounced similarly, in the past it was usually used as a term for a written proof used as evidence. In the computer age, a document is usually used to describe a primarily textual file, along with its structure and design, such as fonts, colors and additional images.
The modern term 'document' can no longer be defined by its transmission medium (such as paper), following the existence of electronic documents. 'Documentation' has more meanings than a written or drawn presentation of thoughts.
The formal term 'document' is defined in Library and information science and in documentation science, as a basic theoretical construct. It is everything which may be preserved or represented in order to serve as evidence for some purpose. The classical example provided by Suzanne Briet is an antelope: "An antelope running wild on the plains of Africa should not be considered a document, she rules. But if it were to be captured, taken to a zoo and made an object of study, it has been made into a document. It has become physical evidence being used by those who study it. Indeed, scholarly articles written about the antelope are secondary documents, since the antelope itself is the primary document." (Quoted from Buckland, 1998 ). (This view has been seen as an early expression of what now is known as actor–network theory).

PKR assemblypersons Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad and Elizabeth Wong are to report to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) that a "fake document" was published on a pro-BN blog. This was related to a rumour that the Damansara Utama Methodist Church was to be sealed. Both the assemblypersons said they had not made calls to the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) to act on a claim that the council was going to seal the church, as stated in the document published by the blogger known only as Papa Gomo. "I did not call MBPJ on that day.Malaysiakini also did not call me on the day, as stated in the document. Describes how condo boards and managers can hold the success of a sale, lease or rental in the palm of their hands and why it is necessary for legislation to establish timelines for condo boards and managers to respond to respectful, written owner requests.
David Rubenstein (Co-founder, The Carlyle Group) spoke at the 2013 Nantucket Project. He credits his country, the United States, for his ability to rise up from a modest upbringing to become a successful businessman. Because of this, he now practices what he calls Patriotic Philanthropy. That began with Rubenstein's purchase of one of the copies of the Magna Carta. So what does that mean? Philanthropy is not rich people writing checks, Rubenstein says, pointing out that the ancient word philanthropy means loving humanity. You can help other people in a number of ways - with your ideas, your time, your energy, or with your money. About The Nantucket Project The Nantucket Project is one of the world’s great gatherings, each year hosting preeminent thinkers, leaders and innovators in a wi...

Purporting to document pop icon Madonna’s rise with an intimate look at her early, lean years, this telefilm offers little worth watching, despite some strong acting. From a historical perspective its shortcomings are legion; as a drama, it fares no better. Scripter Michael Murray, basing his work on an unauthorized bio by Christopher Andersen, fails to create a compelling drama or likable characters. He weaves a plodding tale steeped in revisionist history and tabloid viewpoints. Those tangentially familiar with”Bionic Ever After” review, page 6 Madonna’s life story will view this spec with a jaundiced eye, while fans will find holes big enough to drive a tour bus through. After Madonna (Terumi Matthews) spends her first night in the big city on a park bench surrounded by the town’s ho...

Garrison was notable for being among the first to assert that there were two conspiracies. About the book: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/070061625X/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp;=1789&creative;=9325&creativeASIN;=070061625X&linkCode;=as2&tag;=tra0c7-20&linkId;=5b5bb8de32cf8b1e79ac207aaac546a7 The first conspiracy being the one which engineered the assassination of the president; the second conspiracy being the deliberate cover-up by the Warren Commission to hide the true facts of the assassination. Shaw was acquitted in March, 1969, and the conspiracy movement was dealt a blow as Garrison's trial was widely seen as a debacle, with many researchers denouncing Garrison as a fraud and megalomaniac. Further, as conspiracy theorist Robert Anson put it, because of Garrison, "bills in Congress askin...
