As someone who writes lots of novels, trust ME: Find the tools that work for you and use them. Different tools fit different processes.

I've written 27.5 novels in Word or LibreOffice and .5 in Scrivener. Scrivener did not survive contact with the enemy.

Yup. I played with it for a bit and was all "the fuck am I supposed to do with this?" Works for others (great!) but not me.
