Concert
A concert is a live music performance in front of an audience.
The performance may be by a single musician, sometimes then called a recital, or by a musical ensemble, such as an orchestra, choir, or band. Concerts are held in a wide variety and size of settings, from private houses and small nightclubs, dedicated concert halls, entertainment centres and parks to large multipurpose buildings, and even sports stadiums. Indoor concerts held in the largest venues are sometimes called arena concerts or amphitheatre concerts. Informal names for a concert include show and gig.
Regardless of venue, musicians usually perform on a stage. Concerts often require live event support with professional audio equipment. Before recorded music, concerts provided the main opportunity to hear musicians play.
Types
The nature of a concert varies by musical genre, individual performers, and the venue. Concerts by a small jazz combo or small bluegrass band may have the same order of program, mood, and volume—but vary in music and dress. In a similar way, a particular musician, band, or genre of music might attract concert attendees with similar dress, hairstyle, and behavior. For example, concert goers in the 1960s often had long hair (sometimes in dread lock form), sandals and inexpensive clothing made of natural fibers. Regular attendees to a concert venue might also have a recognizable style that comprises that venue's scene.

Light-emitting diode
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-lead semiconductor light source. It is a p–n junction diode, which emits light when activated. When a suitable voltage is applied to the leads, electrons are able to recombine with electron holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons. This effect is called electroluminescence, and the color of the light (corresponding to the energy of the photon) is determined by the energy band gap of the semiconductor.
An LED is often small in area (less than 1 mm2) and integrated optical components may be used to shape its radiation pattern.
Appearing as practical electronic components in 1962, the earliest LEDs emitted low-intensity infrared light. Infrared LEDs are still frequently used as transmitting elements in remote-control circuits, such as those in remote controls for a wide variety of consumer electronics. The first visible-light LEDs were also of low intensity, and limited to red. Modern LEDs are available across the visible, ultraviolet, and infrared wavelengths, with very high brightness.

Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues and psychedelia on their early albums, has earned them recognition as one of the progenitors of heavy metal, though their unique style drew from a wide variety of influences, including folk music.
After changing their name from the New Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin signed a deal with Atlantic Records that afforded them considerable artistic freedom. Although the group was initially unpopular with critics, they achieved significant commercial success with albums such as Led Zeppelin (1969), Led Zeppelin II (1969), Led Zeppelin III (1970), Led Zeppelin IV (1971), Houses of the Holy (1973), and Physical Graffiti (1975). Their fourth album, which features the track "Stairway to Heaven", is among the most popular and influential works in rock music, and it helped to secure the group's popularity.

Mike Terrana
Mike Terrana (January 21, 1960) is an American hard rock and heavy metal drummer. His first professional work was in 1984 with the MCA band Hanover Fist from Toronto, after which he recorded and toured with other bands, playing many styles of music in Western New York state. Between 1987 and 1997, he was based in Los Angeles and worked with various virtuoso guitarists, including Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony Macalpine, Steve Lukather, and bands like Kuni and Beau Nasty.
In 1997 Terrana moved to Europe, first in the Netherlands for six months and then Germany. He worked with the German bands Rage, Gamma Ray, Savage Circus, Axel Rudi Pell, Roland Grapow and Masterplan.
Mike has played with many popular groups and toured the world. Mike is currently one of the top drummers in the business and he is currently touring with his own 3 piece Rock Band "TERRANA".
Terrana is also engaged in projects in the instrumental fusion genre and performs drum clinics around the world for DrumCraft and Paiste cymbals.

"Beauty & The Beat" is something very different than your ordinary rock show, let alone your ordinary classic concert. It's music played in an unorthodox manner, it's the performance of a wide range of classical pieces and rock songs together with an orchestra and choir. It strikes you with awe.
Originally planned as a one-time event -- the first performance was already held in 2011, the show was too successful with fans and critics to simply never happen again. In spring 2013, Tarja Turunen and drummer Mike Terrana again toured throughout the world, from Poland to Russia to Mexico.
"Beauty & The Beat" will be released as 2CD, DVD, Blu-ray and download on May 30th, 2014 on earMUSIC.
The music of "Beauty & The Beat" ranges from immortal classic pieces by Bach, Strauss and Mozart to Rossini, but doesn't neglect pure rock music like songs from Led Zeppelin, Queen as well as Tarja's own pieces. All combined with orchestra and choir with more than 100 musicians on stage, an enormous sound, energetic drums and Tarja's angelic voice
Tarja and Mike complement each other musically. Whereas Mike bangs his drums with rock attitude, Tarja shines with her crystal clear voice and incredible stage presence; all lulled with the warm, full sound of an orchestra.
Tarja Turunen explains:
"The idea of having a symphonic orchestra, choir and Mr. Terrana on drums was originally mine. Mike has done a recording with drums over classical pieces that I think it is great. I immediately imagined it performed live on a stage with a real orchestra as a part of a bigger concept. I believe this kind of combination of instruments, particularly playing mainly classical music, is very unique. I have been making collaborations with orchestras before and I could foresee a great outcome.
Our main goal with these kind of concerts is that the younger audience experiences the beauty and power of a symphonic orchestra and choir. Hopefully it will serve as an introduction to classical music for some of our fans."
Mike Terrana jokingly adds: "It's obvious that I provide the BEAT & Tarja provides the BEAUTY."

Mike Terrana - Classics for the new world (2010)
Mike Terrana (Buffalo, 21 gennaio 1960) è un batterista statunitense. Il suo primo impegno professionale è nel 1984 con la band Hanover Fist. Da quel momento ha registrato ed è stato in tour con numerose bands, caratterizzate da diversi stili musicali. Tra il 1987 e il 1997 è stato di base a Los Angeles, lavorando con bands quali Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony Macalpine, Steve Lukather (Toto), Kuni e Beau Nasty. Nel 1997 Terrana si trasferisce in Europa, dapprima in Olanda per sei mesi, poi in Germania. Mit viel Fleiß - Ehrgeiz und einer tollen harmonischen Besetzung spielen sie Cover Rock vom allerfeinsten.
Diese langjährige Arbeit wurde geadelt als die Band am 19.11.2011 in der Kulturhalle Ziegenhain als Vorgruppe für die weltweit bekannte Glam-Rock-Legende *** The Sweet *** - engagiert wurde.
Selbst die Sweet um Andy Scott waren begeistert von den musikalischen Fähigkeiten der Steven Stealer Band. Sie blieben deshalb - was sonst absolut unüblich ist - bis zum Endes des Konzertabends und überschütteten die Steven Stealer Band mit sehr viel Lob ... Einen größeren Beweis für die Qualität der Steven Stealer Band dürfte es wohl kaum geben ...

Il suo primo impegno professionale è nel 1984 con la band Hanover Fist. Da quel momento ha registrato ed è stato in tour con numerose bands, caratterizzate da diversi stili musicali. Tra il 1987 e il 1997 è stato di base a Los Angeles, lavorando con bands quali Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony Macalpine, Steve Lukather (Toto), Kuni e Beau Nasty.
Nel 1997 Terrana si trasferisce in Europa, dapprima in Olanda per sei mesi, poi in Germania. Ha lavorato con Gamma Ray, Rage, Axel Rudi Pell, Marco Mendoza, Kee Marcello, Roland Grapow (ex chitarrista Helloween), Savage Circus. Nel 1999 ha pubblicato il suo primo album solista Shadows Of The Past.
