Research shows us how important art is to a person's health and well-being. It also tells us art is a spark for growth and development of communities. ProMedica addressed both of these important needs when planning amenities for its new downtown Steam Plant headquarters. ProMedica Health correspondent Chrys Peterson talked with CEO Randy Oostra and Arts Commission Executive Director Marc Folk to find out why art was such an important part of the downtown campus plan.

ProMedica, the Toledo Museum of Art and a group of local artists recently collaborated on a piece of art that now hangs in the ProMedica Health and Wellness Center. Not only is it beautiful and interesting, but VOLO, the title of the signature art piece, also invites the viewer to see, feel and experience what the ProMedica brand really means.

The exhibition with artwork from 12 artists from Belgium, Northern Ireland, Russia and the US explores the possibilities for proactive engagement with immigration issues, reconfiguring the status and function of art from passivity to active agency.
