The Last Waltz (French:La dernière valse) is a 1936 French-British operetta film directed by Leo Mittler and starring Jean Martinelli, Jarmila Novotna and Armand Bernard. It was made at the Billancourt Studios in Paris. A separate version was also released in Britain.
The film's sets were designed by Robert Gys.
"The Last Waltz" is a song written by Barry Mason and Les Reed. It was one of Engelbert Humperdinck's biggest hits, spending five weeks at #1 on the UK Singles Chart, from September 1967 to October 1967, and has since sold over 1.17 million copies in the United Kingdom.
In the United States, "The Last Waltz" reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and made the top ten of the easy listening chart.
The song is associated with the English football clubs, Peterborough United F.C. and Gillingham F.C.
The title of the song is something of a double entendre as it refers to both the narrator's first and last dances with the woman he loves: the first dance was the "last waltz" played at the party where the two met, and the final dance signified the end of their relationship after their romance had cooled.
French-language versions, titled "La Dernière Valse", were released by Mireille Mathieu and Petula Clark in 1967. Mireille Mathieu's version spent three weeks at number one in the French pop charts, and also was a hit in Britain, reaching #26. Petula Clark's version entered the French charts in February 1968 and reached number two but did not chart in the UK. It is also included on her album, The Other Man's Grass Is Always Greener (1968). In 1968 Québec singer Stéphane released a French cover on his album Stéphane and in 1969 Ginette Reno also released a French version. Total sales of the different versions combined are over eight million copies.
"The Last Waltz" is the twelfth episode and first season finale of the Showtime original series Californication. It was written by Tom Kapinos, directed by Scott Winant and originally aired on Monday October 29, 2007.
The episode opens with Bill and Karen's wedding. After causing a scene and in the ensuing chaos falling off a cliff, Hank falls into his bed and sits bolt upright. Next to him is Karen. He then wakes up again to his daughter Becca shaking him awake to go to Karen's wedding. Shortly before they leave, Becca reveals that she is having her first period. When they get to the store to get tampons, the last box is being grabbed by a middle-aged woman. Hank demands the tampons, and the woman refuses. When her husband gets involved, Hank begins to fight with him over the tampons, with the wife eventually coming to the realization that Hank is not the one who actually wants the tampons. After the woman shows Becca how to use them, Hank and Becca go to the wedding.
Pendragon or Pen Draig, meaning in Welsh "head (Pen) dragon (Draig) " or "chief dragon" (a figurative title referring to status as a leader and shortened from Pen y Ddraig (pronounced Thraig soft 'th' as in 'then')), is the name of several traditional Kings of the Britons:
In the Historia Regum Britanniae, one of the earliest texts of the Arthurian legend, only Uther is given the surname "Pendragon", which is explained as meaning "dragon's head".
In the prose version of Robert de Boron's Merlin, the name of Uther's elder brother Ambrosius is given as "Pendragon", while Uter (Uther) changes his name after his brother's death to "Uterpendragon".

The Pendragon fiction series was a trade paperback line that offered reprints of "lost" classics of Arthurian fiction, as well as original novels and anthologies. First published by Chaosium, the line was taken over by Green Knight Publishing when they acquired rights to the Pendragon role-playing game in 1998. Scholar Raymond H. Thompson served as consulting editor for the entire series. Green Knight hired James Lowder to direct the line as executive editor in 1999.
The Pendragon Adventure is a young adult series of ten science fiction/fantasy novels by D. J. MacHale published from 2002-2009. The series made the New York Times #10 Best Seller list and has sold over a million copies.
They follow the chronicles of Bobby Pendragon, an American teenager who discovers that he, as well as his two best friends, Mark Dimond and Courtney Chetwynde, must prevent the destruction of the ten "territories": distinct but interrelated space-time realities. Each book deals with the battle over a particular territory, fought between Bobby's side—including the lead protectors of each territory, called Travelers—and the forces of Saint Dane, a demon who exploits a decisive "turning point" in each territory's history. At this turning point, Saint Dane steps in to guide each territory towards utter destruction; it is up to Bobby Pendragon and his allies to stop or reverse Saint Dane's sinister efforts.
The series has ten books: The Merchant of Death, The Lost City of Faar, The Never War, The Reality Bug, Black Water, The Rivers of Zadaa, The Quillan Games, The Pilgrims of Rayne, Raven Rise, and The Soldiers of Halla. The novels use the first-person journals in which Bobby Pendragon recounts the events of his adventure to his loyal friends as well as a third-person narrative to tell the stories of characters other than Bobby. Each book of the series repeatedly alternates between these two narrative techniques.

So the dragon went away
He who sustained the kingdom for long time
He was our leader , he kept the land
The king of kings
Arthur the king-the last of the Pendragon.
Now without king neither faith
Have no strength there's only shame
Betrayed he was by his son
No more magic only dust.
Everyoby's crying from his loss
All he buried there's no more
The gods must been plained it all
Let the destiny seal our luck.
When the future take roots in the present
And all this over and the dream catch you
The Pendragon will wake up of his constant sleep
And it will triumph over us.
