Honda Type R models are special performance editions of their respective model families.
The design of Type R models was originally focused on race conditions, with an emphasis on minimizing weight, and maximizing performance potential (e.g. engine tuning, suspension set-up). Thus, Type R models were first conceived for racetracks. However, due to Honda's increased focus on their highly regarded VTEC engines, Type R vehicles were eventually designed for a much wider market.
Type R vehicles traditionally have a red Honda badge and Championship White paint as an option, as a tribute to their first winning F1 car. Honda's racing and F1 cars often feature a red Honda badge.
Honda produced a very limited number of NSX Type R models from 1992 to 1995 for Japan. Major changes include a more aggressive suspension and an extensive weight reduction to 1230 kg from the normal NSX weight of 1350 kg. The NSX Type R was track oriented and, to reduce weight, lacked sound deadening, audio, electric windows and air conditioning. The NSX Type R's role was fulfilled by the NSX Type S Zero in 1997.

I recorded this extreme Fiat 500 at the 2017 Best of Italy Race event last weekend and it's called Giannini 350 GP Anniversario. The car has been conceived and realized by Gram Torino Engineering in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the famous historic Italian tuner Giannini (very popular in the Sixties & Seventies). Of course almost nothing remains of the original 500: starting from the external look, the whole body is made of carbon fibre, huge 19'' forged wheels and Brembo brakes (six-piston calipers at the front, four-piston calipers at the rear). The 350GP is powered by a tuned mid-mounted 1,750cc turbocharged engine taken from an Alfa Romeo 4C which is able to reach 350bhp (power that can manually be adjusted from the inside), released to the ground on the rear tyres. In this episode, Aaron goes over pros and cons to having a RWD Subaru and how to convert your subaru to RWD! From stuck and broken bolts to a stubborn CV joint, you'll see a few mishaps that can happen during your conversion and how to overcome them! *I don't recommend prying apart your transmission with screwdrivers, but do what you have to do. *You don't need to put the inner CV cups on the axle stubs. It works just fine without them. You can also split the case and completely remove the front differential to cut down on excess rotational mass to maximize performance. *I would recommend cutting the outer CV cup off and leaving just the stub. This removes the hassle of prying apart the bearing, while reducing excess rotational mass. *Locktite is not required on the outer CV stub. You c...

From stuck and broken bolts to a stubborn CV joint, you'll see a few mishaps that can happen during your conversion and how to overcome them! *I don't recommend prying apart your transmission with screwdrivers, but do what you have to do. *You don't need to put the inner CV cups on the axle stubs. It works just fine without them. You can also split the case and completely remove the front differential to cut down on excess rotational mass to maximize performance. *I would recommend cutting the outer CV cup off and leaving just the stub. Edited the runs for a shorter video. Nothing fancy. Just had to go on the list at d1-10.com for the drivers' chassis. Some had multiple chassis listed, some were incomplete, and some were just generic; mostly the YD-2's so there are probably gonna be errors. Safe to assume that the Team Yokomo Guys including non-Japanese have YD-2EX's. Also just learned that Kim Grande used a Revol YD-2 rather than an RMX. Hope you enjoy.
