An audience is a group of people who participate in a show or encounter a work of art, literature (in which they are called "readers"), theatre, music (in which they are called "listeners"), video games (in which they are called "players"), or academics in any medium. Audience members participate in different ways in different kinds of art; some events invite overt audience participation and others allowing only modest clapping and criticism and reception.
Media audience studies have become a recognized part of the curriculum. Audience theory offers scholarly insight into audiences in general. These insights shape our knowledge of just how audiences affect and are affected by different forms of art. The biggest art form is the mass media. Films, video games, radio shows, software (and hardware), and other formats are affected by the audience and its reviews and recommendations.
In the age of easy Internet participation and citizen journalism, professional creators share space, and sometimes attention, with the public. American journalist Jeff Jarvis said, "Give the people control of media, they will use it. The corollary: Don't give the people control of media, and you will lose. Whenever citizens can exercise control, they will."Tom Curley, President of the Associated Press, similarly said, "The users are deciding what the point of their engagement will be — what application, what device, what time, what place."
Google Analytics is a freemium web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google launched the service in November 2005 after acquiring Urchin. Google Analytics is now the most widely used web analytics service on the Internet. Google Analytics is offered also in two additional versions: a subscription based Google Analytics Premium targeted at enterprise users and Google Analytics for Mobile Apps, an SDK that allows gathering usage data from iOS and Android Apps.
Google acquired Urchin Software Corp. in April 2005. Google's service was developed from Urchin on Demand. The system also brings ideas from Adaptive Path, whose product, Measure Map, was acquired and used in the redesign of Google Analytics in 2006. Google continued to sell the standalone, installable Urchin WebAnalytics Software through a network of value-added resellers until discontinuation on March 28, 2012.
The Google-branded version was rolled out in November 2005 to anyone who wished to sign up. However, due to extremely high demand for the service, new sign-ups were suspended only a week later. As capacity was added to the system, Google began using a lottery-type invitation-code model. Prior to August 2006 Google was sending out batches of invitation codes as server availability permitted; since mid-August 2006 the service has been fully available to all users – whether they use Google for advertising or not.
Facebook is a corporation and online social networking service headquartered in Menlo Park, California, in the United States. Its website was launched on February 4, 2004, by Mark Zuckerberg with his Harvard College roommates and fellow students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. The founders had initially limited the website's membership to Harvard students, but later expanded it to colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University. It gradually added support for students at various other universities and later to high-school students. Since 2006, anyone who is at least 13 years old was allowed to become a registered user of the website, though the age requirement may be higher depending on applicable local laws. Its name comes from the face book directories often given to American university students.
After registering to use the site, users can create a user profile, add other users as "friends", exchange messages, post status updates and photos, share videos, use various apps and receive notifications when others update their profiles. Additionally, users may join common-interest user groups, organized by workplace, school or college, or other characteristics, and categorize their friends into lists such as "People From Work" or "Close Friends". Also users can complain or block unpleasant people. Facebook had over 1.18 billion monthly active users as of August 2015. Because of the large volume of data users submit to the service, Facebook has come under scrutiny for their privacy policies. Facebook, Inc. held its initial public offering in February 2012 and began selling stock to the public three months later, reaching an original peak market capitalization of $104 billion. On July 13, 2015, Facebook became the fastest company in the Standard & Poor's 500 Index to reach a market cap of $250 billion. Following its Q3 earnings call in 2015, Facebook's market cap soared past $300 billion.

This is a compilation of jokes that offended millions and set social media ablaze. This list is NOT my own opinion. It's a list of the most controversial jokes by these comedians. People should realize that comedy is complex and falls into multiple genres with various forms of delivery. A comedy routine is just a performance, For example, Bill Hicks was using deadpan humor to highlight the hypocrisy in people who are disgusted by 2 gay men but are turned on by 2 gay women. And Burr was just telling from his own perspective. We should all learn to have a laugh and not take comedians too seriously. Even though there is a necessity for comedians to be malicious and insulting, as fans of stand-up comedy, we don’t want anything ruining this art form. The never-ending war on political correctne...

Before the show, Ellen decided to check out the Facebook pages of her audience. What she found was so funny, she had to share it on the show -- with the culprits sitting right in front of her! Take a look.
For detailed notes and links to resources mentioned in this video, visit http://www.patrickbetdavid.com/audiences-of-a-ceo One of the things I learned very early on as a CEO and entrepreneur was the fact that I cannot speak the same language to every audience. For instance, I can't speak to my staff the way I speak to my vendors, and I don't speak to vendors the way I speak to the media. Each audience requires a different communication style. And once you learn how to be aligned with the way you communicate with them, you become more effective. I've made all the mistakes in the world with this, and I'm probably going to make many more, but I finally developed a philosophy on how to communicate with the following seven audiences: #7: Media and Public - 1:30 #6: Vendors - 5:08 #5: Inve...

in between the thinking and the saying
threw away what i can't believe
tell me how you lose this feeling
all moods have been dealt and played
tell me how you lose this feeling
all hands have been cut and waved
i have always been your vegetable
and you my Swedenborg
i would drop myself through black holes
to end up at your door
there's no one else to get hung about
and there's nothing else makes you twist
you set yourself up
the lightening bolt hit
you watched yourself change
and no one's left to blame
the helicopter's spotlight shaking
hungry orson on the make
the less you put yourself in
the less you feel so fake
suddenly i'm alright
and it 's time for you to go
you set yourself up
the lightening bolt hit
you let yourself change
now everyone's to blame
and the gulf sign split the screen up
