Fall is such a beautiful season in Korea, so we we’ve been trying to enjoy the leaves as much as we can before they’re gone. We headed to Seoul Forest which was absolutely stunning and far exceeded our expectations. Plus, a little convertible drive and some pizza on the weekend was the cherry on top of a great week! :)

Took a trip to Seoul Forest in Ttukseom! Even though it was freezing outside, it was still a peaceful visit :) Also, apparently we missed a lot more of the park, so I'll be returning again soon so watch out for it in another vlog ;)
PS sorry if I gave you a headache while watching this... I think I need to work on my camera stabilization...

Seoul Forest Park is actually comprised of 5 distinct parks (Culture & Art Park, Eco Forest, Experiential Learning Park, Hangang Riverside Park, Marsh Plants Gardens). What I liked most about the park was the variety it offered in terms of sights and environments. It has aspects of an open field park but also quiet paths, ponds, deers, botanical gardens, etc. all within a walkable range. I was able to comfortably walk through most of the park all the while feeling sheltered from the busy city that is Seoul. The paths throughout the parks link them all together and there are many places to sit and relax. The baby deer is following that man because he received the deer at birth 3 months ago and thinks he's his mom.

유기농샐러드, 샌드위치, 비건버거, 스무디 등등 팔고 있지만 다 비건이 아니라서 비건인거 확인하고 주문하기. 저는 버섯랜틸샐러드를 시켰고요. 샐러드만 먹을 수는 없지만 샐러드가 당길 때는 샐러드로 한끼를 때우는데 이날 다른 건보다 샐러드가 먹고 싶어 주문했어요. (집에 가서 또 먹음) 곡물, 콩, 과일들도 살 수 있는 곳. 독특해서 좋았어요.
The owner of cafe is very welcoming. I also like the green color at the floor. It just makes me feel like, 'Ok! I come to the right place, Green color!!' They sell not only foods but also grains, beans, fruits and environmentally friendly products. This kind of style is very unique in Korea. Some dishes include cheese, so you have to ask without it when you order.

Introduction
Opened on June 18, 2005, Seoul Forest had previously undergone a series of changes on Ttukseom (Ttuk Island). In the past the forest had been a royal hunting ground for kings and served as a military inspection facility. But, in more recent decades the area has served a wide variety of functions. Ttukseom initially served as a water-treatment facility, and later as a golf course, horse racing track, and eventually a sports park.
Consisting of five parks spread over 350,000 pyeong (approximately 1.16 million ㎡) of land, Seoul Forest is an eco-friendly zone appreciated not only by the people of the city but also those visiting Seoul. Seoul Forest is rapidly developing into the premium city-park of Korea like Hyde Park in London and Central Park in New York.
* Cultural Art Park (220,000㎡)
Situated in the heart of Seoul Forest, the Cultural Art Park features Seoul Forest Square, Ttukseom Family Field, decorative flower beds, a visitors' center, a skate park, an outdoor stage, a waterside lounge (restaurant), an in-forest open space, an in-forest play ground and a water play area.
* Ecological Forest (165,000㎡)
The Ecological Forest, once an area covered by the Hangang River, has been transformed into an eco-forest connecting the Han and Jungnang-cheon (Jungnang stream). This natural habitat for wildlife animals is home to fallow deer, formosan deer, elks, chipmunks, mandarin ducks, mallards, spot-billed ducks and moorhens, there is also an observatory to help visitors get a better view of the local wildlife.
* Nature Experiencing Study Field (85,000㎡)
Occupying the structure of the former Ttukseom Water Treatment Facility, this refurbished educational area was established to house an insect botanical garden, a wild flower garden, a themed flower garden, an event ground and a surrounding protective forest.
* Wetlands Ecological Field (70,000㎡)
Making use of the local reservoir's natural environment, the Wetlands Ecological Field contains a wetlands ecological management office, an ecological playground, an outdoor nature classroom, a bird observatory, a wetlands flower garden and a botanical garden fed with local, clear waters.
* Hangang River Waterside Park (33,000㎡)
Located southwest of Seoul Forest, this riverside area at the junction of the Hangang River and Jungnang-cheon features a waterfront park, a marina and a rest area.

Seoul Forest
Seoul Forest (Korean: 서울숲) is a large park in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is open year-round, and admission is free. Seoul Forest opened in June 2005. The city government spent 235.2 billion won in development.
The park is served by Seoul Subway Line 2, Ttukseom Station, exit 8 or Bundang Line, Seoul Forest Station, exit 3. Proceed straight until you get to the large street and turn left. About a block down, across the street, is the park. It is available to ride bicycles, skate board and so on. It was established to satisfy people's desire to have green space and recreational places in city. It changed from the grounds of Ttukseom. It opened in 2002 stretching over 1.16million m² of land. It consists of five parks : a Cultural Art Park, an Ecological Forest, a Nature Experience Study Field, Wetlands Ecological Field, and Han River Waterside Park.

A forest is a large area of land covered with trees or other woody vegetation. Hundreds of more precise definitions of forest are used throughout the world, incorporating factors such as tree density, tree height, land use, legal standing and ecological function. Took a trip to Seoul Forest in Ttukseom! Even though it was freezing outside, it was still a peaceful visit :) Also, apparently we missed a lot more of the park, so I'll be returning again soon so watch out for it in another vlog ;) PS sorry if I gave you a headache while watching this... I think I need to work on my camera stabilization...

Seoul Forest Park - 서울숲
Seoul Forest Park is actually comprised of 5 distinct parks (Culture & Art Park, Eco Forest, Experiential Learning Park, Hangang Riverside Park, Marsh Plants Gardens). What I liked most about the park was the variety it offered in terms of sights and environments. It has aspects of an open field park but also quiet paths, ponds, deers, botanical gardens, etc. all within a walkable range. I was able to comfortably walk through most of the park all the while feeling sheltered from the busy city that is Seoul. The paths throughout the parks link them all together and there are many places to sit and relax. (집에 가서 또 먹음) 곡물, 콩, 과일들도 살 수 있는 곳. 독특해서 좋았어요. The owner of cafe is very welcoming. I also like the green color at the floor. It just makes me feel like, 'Ok! I come to the right place, Green color!!' They sell not only foods but also grains, beans, fruits and environmentally friendly products. This kind of style is very unique in Korea. Fall is such a beautiful season in Korea, so we we’ve been trying to enjoy the leaves as much as we can before they’re gone. We headed to Seoul Forest which was absolutely stunning and far exceeded our expectations. Plus, a little convertible drive and some pizza on the weekend was the cherry on top of a great week! :)

Situated in the heart of Seoul Forest, the Cultural Art Park features Seoul Forest Square, Ttukseom Family Field, decorative flower beds, a visitors' center, a skate park, an outdoor stage, a waterside lounge (restaurant), an in-forest open space, an in-forest play ground and a water play area.
* Ecological Forest (165,000㎡)
The Ecological Forest, once an area covered by the Hangang River, has been transformed into an eco-forest connecting the Han and Jungnang-cheon (Jungnang stream). This natural habitat for wildlife animals is home to fallow deer, formosan deer, elks, chipmunks, mandarin ducks, mallards, spot-billed ducks and moorhens, there is also an observatory to help visitors get a better view of the local wildlife.

Occupying the structure of the former Ttukseom Water Treatment Facility, this refurbished educational area was established to house an insect botanical garden, a wild flower garden, a themed flower garden, an event ground and a surrounding protective forest.

This was another one of our day trips during our vacation in Seoul Korea. The Seoul Forest is actually a park that has so many activities packed into one place. There are cool playgrounds, ecological forests, butterfly pavilions, Deer enclosures, a water treatment museum and sports complexes. Took a trip to Seoul Forest in Ttukseom! Even though it was freezing outside, it was still a peaceful visit :) Also, apparently we missed a lot more of the park, so I'll be returning again soon so watch out for it in another vlog ;) PS sorry if I gave you a headache while watching this... I think I need to work on my camera stabilization...

Gyeongui Line Forest Park in Seoul, South Korea
Not far from the busy streets of Hongdae in Yeonnam-dong is Gyeongui Line Forest Park, an urban park and green space busy with both Seoulites and tourists. About 100 years ago, the Gyeongui railway line passed through this area. The line has since moved underground, and today the land has been converted into a beautiful park. Lining the park are many restaurants, bars, and cafes. On warm summer days, locals and tourists can be found sitting in the shade with a bottle of wine or craft beer purchased at one of the local shops in the area.

Seoul Forest Park - 서울숲
Seoul Forest Park is actually comprised of 5 distinct parks (Culture & Art Park, Eco Forest, Experiential Learning Park, Hangang Riverside Park, Marsh Plants Gardens). What I liked most about the park was the variety it offered in terms of sights and environments. It has aspects of an open field park but also quiet paths, ponds, deers, botanical gardens, etc. all within a walkable range. I was able to comfortably walk through most of the park all the while feeling sheltered from the busy city that is Seoul. The paths throughout the parks link them all together and there are many places to sit and relax. Took a trip to Seoul Forest in Ttukseom! Even though it was freezing outside, it was still a peaceful visit :) Also, apparently we missed a lot more of the park, so I'll be returning again soon so watch out for it in another vlog ;) PS sorry if I gave you a headache while watching this... I think I need to work on my camera stabilization...

Seoul Forest Park - 서울숲
Seoul Forest Park is actually comprised of 5 distinct parks (Culture & Art Park, Eco Forest, Experiential Learning Park, Hangang Riverside Park, Marsh Plants Gardens). What I liked most about the park was the variety it offered in terms of sights and environments. It has aspects of an open field park but also quiet paths, ponds, deers, botanical gardens, etc. all within a walkable range. I was able to comfortably walk through most of the park all the while feeling sheltered from the busy city that is Seoul. The paths throughout the parks link them all together and there are many places to sit and relax. 유기농샐러드, 샌드위치, 비건버거, 스무디 등등 팔고 있지만 다 비건이 아니라서 비건인거 확인하고 주문하기. 저는 버섯랜틸샐러드를 시켰고요. 샐러드만 먹을 수는 없지만 샐러드가 당길 때는 샐러드로 한끼를 때우는데 이날 다른 건보다 샐러드가 먹고 싶어 주문했어요. (집에 가서 또 먹음) 곡물, 콩, 과일들도 살 수 있는 곳. 독특해서 좋았어요.
The owner of cafe is very welcoming. I also like the green color at the floor. It just makes me feel like, 'Ok! I come to the right place, Green color!!' They sell not only foods but also grains, beans, fruits and environmentally friendly products. This kind of style is very unique in Korea. Some dishes include cheese, so you have to ask without it when you order.

Introduction
Opened on June 18, 2005, Seoul Forest had previously undergone a series of changes on Ttukseom (Ttuk Island). In the past the forest had been a royal hunting ground for kings and served as a military inspection facility. But, in more recent decades the area has served a wide variety of functions. Ttukseom initially served as a water-treatment facility, and later as a golf course, horse racing track, and eventually a sports park.
Consisting of five parks spread over 350,000 pyeong (approximately 1.16 million ㎡) of land, Seoul Forest is an eco-friendly zone appreciated not only by the people of the city but also those visiting Seoul. Seoul Forest is rapidly developing into the premium city-park of Korea like Hyde Park in London and Central Park in New York.
* Cultural Art Park (220,000㎡)
Situated in the heart of Seoul Forest, the Cultural Art Park features Seoul Forest Square, Ttukseom Family Field, decorative flower beds, a visitors' center, a skate park, an outdoor stage, a waterside lounge (restaurant), an in-forest open space, an in-forest play ground and a water play area.
* Ecological Forest (165,000㎡)
The Ecological Forest, once an area covered by the Hangang River, has been transformed into an eco-forest connecting the Han and Jungnang-cheon (Jungnang stream). This natural habitat for wildlife animals is home to fallow deer, formosan deer, elks, chipmunks, mandarin ducks, mallards, spot-billed ducks and moorhens, there is also an observatory to help visitors get a better view of the local wildlife.
* Nature Experiencing Study Field (85,000㎡)
Occupying the structure of the former Ttukseom Water Treatment Facility, this refurbished educational area was established to house an insect botanical garden, a wild flower garden, a themed flower garden, an event ground and a surrounding protective forest.
* Wetlands Ecological Field (70,000㎡)
Making use of the local reservoir's natural environment, the Wetlands Ecological Field contains a wetlands ecological management office, an ecological playground, an outdoor nature classroom, a bird observatory, a wetlands flower garden and a botanical garden fed with local, clear waters.
* Hangang River Waterside Park (33,000㎡)
Located southwest of Seoul Forest, this riverside area at the junction of the Hangang River and Jungnang-cheon features a waterfront park, a marina and a rest area.
