Recent snow adding to already icy conditions. Take extra care. *MAIN COMMUTER ROUTES* * Heaviest on the N7/Naas Rd from the Long Mile Rd to Newlands Cross. * Extremely slow outbound on the N4/Lucan Rd from the M50 Interchange to J4a Dodsboro. Very icy conditions on Coldcut Rd over the M50 on approach from Ballyfermot and Liffey Valley. Slow through Palmerstown Village. * Traffic lights are reportedly out of action at Doyle's Corner, the jct of the North Circular Rd and the N2/Phibsborough Rd. Take care on approach. * Slow on the M50 southbound from J6 Blanchardstown to J7 Lucan. Heavy both ways exiting at J9 Red Cow, with northbound traffic tailing back to J10 Ballymount. Icy on the M50 both ways between J7 Lucan and the M1/M50 Interchange. * The M1 is extremely icy northbound from J2 Dublin Airport to J6 Balbriggan due to thick ice and compacted snow. Stick to the inside lane. *NORTHSIDE* * Conditions are improving on the N3/Navan Rd from the Auburn Avenue Jct to the Cabra Rd. * Nephin Rd in Cabra is passable but there are very slippery stretches on this route. * Very slushy and icy in parts around Rush, Lusk & Skerries. Heavy snow is falling in these areas and it's affecting visibility. * In the Phoenix Park, Knockmaroon Gate, Islandbridge Gate, Upper Glen Rd & Wellington Rd are closed. Local access is being maintained on Ordnance Survey Rd. * Heavy traffic all around Blanchardstown and snow is falling. It's slippery over the bridge near Laurel Lodge. * In Howth, Balkill Rd and Balglass Rd are very slippery and should be avoided. *SOUTHSIDE* * In Clondalkin, the jct of Orchard Lane, Main St, Monastery Rd is very icy. Avoid Woodford Hill and it remains slippery on Nangor Rd and Ninth Lock Rd. * Cromwellsfort Rd in Crumlin has been gritted but conditions are still very poor. * Slippery conditions around Kilmainham and Inchicore. * Slushy with icy conditions in parts of Dun Laoghaire. Icy on Glenageary Rd Lower; it's a very steep hill so take care. * Very icy on Eden Rd in Glasthule and at the Barnhill Rd R/A in Dalkey. Slippery on Hyde Rd, Avondale Rd, Castlepark Rd, Sorrento Rd and on Railway Rd particularly by the bridge. Very slippery all around Killiney as well. * Strathmore Rd in Shankill is improving but continue to take care on Cornelscourt Hill Rd in Cabinteely. * Most routes in Blackrock are slippery but improving slightly; extra care needed on the Rock Rd from Booterstown Ave to Frascati Rd and also on Temple Hill. * Compacted snow along the N11 from Donnybrook to Bray. *DUBLIN AIRPORT* * Flight operations have resumed at Dublin Airport. Consult with your airline before travelling to the airport.
