Online marketplaces are on the rise globally, with companies such as Amazon and eBay expanding their cross-border businesses while new companies such as Jet.com are entering the field. Although marketplaces were previously limited to pure play e-commerce businesses, brick and mortar stores such as Wal-Mart are also entering the space. We all do online shopping and most of us know our favorite or best online shopping website to buy products but in this video tutorial we are talking about which is the best online ecommerce marketplace website to sell products online. It is not easy to judge this unless you have thorough knowledge and experience on using these marketplace websites. All this while I have shown how to sell products online, how to sell on amazon, how to sell on flipkart, how to sell on ebay, how to sell on snapdeal, how to sell on paytm, and how to sell on shopclues but now I am going to tell you some of the facts about these websites which will help you to decide which is the best website to sell products and why?
So the parameters that I am considering are as followed:
SALES VOLUME: If we speak about sales volume then amazon will give the best sales volume considering that it has wider reach and does lot of advertisements in India. Followed by flipkart, snapdeal, paytm, shopclues and ebay. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
COMMISSION: If we talk about commission the ebay will be best in terms of commission because their commission structure becomes fixed once you get good sales volume. They will give you a fixed commission rate so that you can do more business in ebay hence I have ranked 1. That’s followed by amazon, flipkart, shopclues, paytm and snapdeal. Snapdeal has the worst commission rates and it becomes way to difficult to sell on snapdeal. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
RETURNS: Amazon has the highest return rates and ebay the least. So you can decide where you want to sell products online and make more pofit. Paytm is number 2 followed by shopclues, snapdeal, and flipkart. So the best is ebay and the worst is amazon. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
EASY TO USE: Yes, again its ebay because they have a very simple process to use their system and well managed. Amazon comes next followed by flipkart, snapdeal, paytm and shopclues. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
POLICY: This is very important because policy is something based on what you decide to make it a career. If the policy is not seller centric and rotates only around consumers then it becomes very difficult to sell products online in any of these ecommerce websites. So if we speak about policy then ebay has the best one followed by shopclues, paytm, amazon, flipkart and snapdeal. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
SELLER SERVICE: In this parameter I have ranked ebay again. Its not that I have been paid by ebay but I just love their marketplace because of so many reasons. Next is flipkart, snapdeal, amazon, paytm and shopclues. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
PROFIT: The ultimate point and it decides everything. So if you want to sell online without making any profit then you can sell on any website keeping the lowest price but if you wish to get some profit without much hassle and confusion then ebay is the best. Amazon comes next followed by flipkart, shopclues, paytm and snapdeal. This profit is derived based on the commission and returns which are very critical points.
I hope that you will be able to derive to a conclusion and decide which is the best online ecommerce website in India based on these parameters now. As I said its based on my personal view so you can take your own discretion and take decisions accordingly.

What is ONLINE MARKETPLACE? What does ONLINE MARKETPLACE mean?
An online marketplace (or online e-commerce marketplace) is a type of e-commerce site where product or service information is provided by multiple third parties, whereas transactions are processed by the marketplace operator. Online marketplaces are the primary type of multichannel ecommerce.
In an online marketplace, consumer transactions are processed by the marketplace operator and then delivered and fulfilled by the participating retailers or wholesalers (often called drop shipping). Other capabilities might include auctioning (forward or reverse), catalogs, ordering, wanted advertisement, trading exchange functionality and capabilities like RFQ, RFI or RFP.
In general, because marketplaces aggregate products from a wide array of providers, selection is usually more wide, availability is higher, and prices are more competitive than in vendor-specific online retail stores.
Since 2014, online marketplaces are abundant since organized marketplaces are sought after. Some have a wide variety of general interest products that cater to almost all the needs of the consumers, however, some are consumer specific and cater to a particular segment only. Not only is the platform for selling online, but the user interface and user experience matters. People tend to log on to online marketplaces that are organized and products are much more accessible to them.

Susan Athey
Susan Carleton Athey (born November 29, 1970) is an American economist. She is The Economics of Technology Professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining Stanford, she was a professor at Harvard University. She is the first female winner of the John Bates Clark Medal. She currently serves as a long-term consultant to Microsoft as well as a consulting researcher to Microsoft Research.
Education
Athey was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in Rockville, Maryland.
Athey attended Duke University from the age of 16. As an undergraduate at Duke, she completed three majors, in economics, mathematics, and computer science. She got her start in economics research as a sophomore, working on problems related to auctions with Professor Robert Marshall. She was involved in a number of activities at Duke and served as treasurer of Chi Omega sorority and as president of the field hockey club.
Athey graduated with a Ph.D. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business at the age of 24. Her thesis was supervised by Professors Paul Milgrom and Donald John Roberts.

We all do online shopping and most of us know our favorite or best online shopping website to buy products but in this video tutorial we are talking about which is the best online ecommerce marketplace website to sell products online. It is not easy to judge this unless you have thorough knowledge and experience on using these marketplace websites. All this while I have shown how to sell products online, how to sell on amazon, how to sell on flipkart, how to sell on ebay, how to sell on snapdeal, how to sell on paytm, and how to sell on shopclues but now I am going to tell you some of the facts about these websites which will help you to decide which is the best website to sell products and why?
So the parameters that I am considering are as followed:
SALES VOLUME: If we speak about sales volume then amazon will give the best sales volume considering that it has wider reach and does lot of advertisements in India. Followed by flipkart, snapdeal, paytm, shopclues and ebay. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
COMMISSION: If we talk about commission the ebay will be best in terms of commission because their commission structure becomes fixed once you get good sales volume. They will give you a fixed commission rate so that you can do more business in ebay hence I have ranked 1. That’s followed by amazon, flipkart, shopclues, paytm and snapdeal. Snapdeal has the worst commission rates and it becomes way to difficult to sell on snapdeal. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
RETURNS: Amazon has the highest return rates and ebay the least. So you can decide where you want to sell products online and make more pofit. Paytm is number 2 followed by shopclues, snapdeal, and flipkart. So the best is ebay and the worst is amazon. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
EASY TO USE: Yes, again its ebay because they have a very simple process to use their system and well managed. Amazon comes next followed by flipkart, snapdeal, paytm and shopclues. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
POLICY: This is very important because policy is something based on what you decide to make it a career. If the policy is not seller centric and rotates only around consumers then it becomes very difficult to sell products online in any of these ecommerce websites. So if we speak about policy then ebay has the best one followed by shopclues, paytm, amazon, flipkart and snapdeal. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
SELLER SERVICE: In this parameter I have ranked ebay again. Its not that I have been paid by ebay but I just love their marketplace because of so many reasons. Next is flipkart, snapdeal, amazon, paytm and shopclues. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
PROFIT: The ultimate point and it decides everything. So if you want to sell online without making any profit then you can sell on any website keeping the lowest price but if you wish to get some profit without much hassle and confusion then ebay is the best. Amazon comes next followed by flipkart, shopclues, paytm and snapdeal. This profit is derived based on the commission and returns which are very critical points.
I hope that you will be able to derive to a conclusion and decide which is the best online ecommerce website in India based on these parameters now. As I said its based on my personal view so you can take your own discretion and take decisions accordingly.

We all do online shopping and most of us know our favorite or best online shopping website to buy products but in this video tutorial we are talking about which is the best online ecommerce marketplace website to sell products online. It is not easy to judge this unless you have thorough knowledge and experience on using these marketplace websites. All this while I have shown how to sell products online, how to sell on amazon, how to sell on flipkart, how to sell on ebay, how to sell on snapdeal, how to sell on paytm, and how to sell on shopclues but now I am going to tell you some of the facts about these websites which will help you to decide which is the best website to sell products and why?
So the parameters that I am considering are as followed:
SALES VOLUME: If we speak about sales volume then amazon will give the best sales volume considering that it has wider reach and does lot of advertisements in India. Followed by flipkart, snapdeal, paytm, shopclues and ebay. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
COMMISSION: If we talk about commission the ebay will be best in terms of commission because their commission structure becomes fixed once you get good sales volume. They will give you a fixed commission rate so that you can do more business in ebay hence I have ranked 1. That’s followed by amazon, flipkart, shopclues, paytm and snapdeal. Snapdeal has the worst commission rates and it becomes way to difficult to sell on snapdeal. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
RETURNS: Amazon has the highest return rates and ebay the least. So you can decide where you want to sell products online and make more pofit. Paytm is number 2 followed by shopclues, snapdeal, and flipkart. So the best is ebay and the worst is amazon. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
EASY TO USE: Yes, again its ebay because they have a very simple process to use their system and well managed. Amazon comes next followed by flipkart, snapdeal, paytm and shopclues. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
POLICY: This is very important because policy is something based on what you decide to make it a career. If the policy is not seller centric and rotates only around consumers then it becomes very difficult to sell products online in any of these ecommerce websites. An online marketplace (or online e-commerce marketplace) is a type of e-commerce site where product or service information is provided by multiple third parties, whereas transactions are processed by the marketplace operator. Online marketplaces are the primary type of multichannel ecommerce.
In an online marketplace, consumer transactions are processed by the marketplace operator and then delivered and fulfilled by the participating retailers or wholesalers (often called drop shipping). Other capabilities might include auctioning (forward or reverse), catalogs, ordering, wanted advertisement, trading exchange functionality and capabilities like RFQ, RFI or RFP.

We all do online shopping and most of us know our favorite or best online shopping website to buy products but in this video tutorial we are talking about which is the best online ecommerce marketplace website to sell products online. It is not easy to judge this unless you have thorough knowledge and experience on using these marketplace websites. All this while I have shown how to sell products online, how to sell on amazon, how to sell on flipkart, how to sell on ebay, how to sell on snapdeal, how to sell on paytm, and how to sell on shopclues but now I am going to tell you some of the facts about these websites which will help you to decide which is the best website to sell products and why?
So the parameters that I am considering are as followed:
SALES VOLUME: If we speak about sales volume then amazon will give the best sales volume considering that it has wider reach and does lot of advertisements in India. Followed by flipkart, snapdeal, paytm, shopclues and ebay. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
COMMISSION: If we talk about commission the ebay will be best in terms of commission because their commission structure becomes fixed once you get good sales volume. They will give you a fixed commission rate so that you can do more business in ebay hence I have ranked 1. That’s followed by amazon, flipkart, shopclues, paytm and snapdeal. Snapdeal has the worst commission rates and it becomes way to difficult to sell on snapdeal. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
RETURNS: Amazon has the highest return rates and ebay the least. So you can decide where you want to sell products online and make more pofit. Paytm is number 2 followed by shopclues, snapdeal, and flipkart. So the best is ebay and the worst is amazon. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
EASY TO USE: Yes, again its ebay because they have a very simple process to use their system and well managed. Amazon comes next followed by flipkart, snapdeal, paytm and shopclues. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
POLICY: This is very important because policy is something based on what you decide to make it a career. If the policy is not seller centric and rotates only around consumers then it becomes very difficult to sell products online in any of these ecommerce websites. So if we speak about policy then ebay has the best one followed by shopclues, paytm, amazon, flipkart and snapdeal. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
SELLER SERVICE: In this parameter I have ranked ebay again. Its not that I have been paid by ebay but I just love their marketplace because of so many reasons. Next is flipkart, snapdeal, amazon, paytm and shopclues. (please note that these sequences are based on my personal experience)
PROFIT: The ultimate point and it decides everything. So if you want to sell online without making any profit then you can sell on any website keeping the lowest price but if you wish to get some profit without much hassle and confusion then ebay is the best. Amazon comes next followed by flipkart, shopclues, paytm and snapdeal. This profit is derived based on the commission and returns which are very critical points.
I hope that you will be able to derive to a conclusion and decide which is the best online ecommerce website in India based on these parameters now. As I said its based on my personal view so you can take your own discretion and take decisions accordingly.
