Shahin Gobadi, a member of the NCRI Foreign Affairs Committee commented on adoption of a bill by the US Senate and House of Representatives on the Iranian regime for violating human rights and pursuing ballistic missiles. He called the bill that included extending sanctions on the IRGC for its role in terrorism, as a positive and important step. Gobadi also commented on the following steps for full implementation of this bill and the need to complete these sanctions with urgent actions against officials in charge of executions, torture and particularly the massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in 1988.

Referring to the terms of a nuclear deal agreed last week between the world powers and the regime in Iran, Mr. Safavi told Newsmax TV on Monday: "About $150 billion in cash would be provided to the coffers of the Iranian regime, and there is no question that most of this money will be used to fund terrorist groups in the region and prop up the Bashar al-Assad criminal regime in Syria, help the Houthis in Yemen, fund and provide missiles to Hezbollah and train and equip the Shiite militias in Iraq. And of course this is a very, very dangerous scenario and in fact a recipe for disaster when it comes to the stability of the region."

On Friday, 21 April 2017, the National Council of Resistance of Iran, U.S. Representative Office held a press conference at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC exposing yet another nuclear site of Iran. NCRI-US provided detailed information about the continuation of work by the organization responsible for nuclear weaponization, known as SPND, highlighting once again that Iran continues to adamantly pursue a nuclear weapon.
At the press conference, NCRIUS Deputy Director, Alireza Jafarzadeh, using a power point presentation, showed maps, graphs, and charts of the covert organization as well as names of individuals involved in the weaponization program.
At the new site, named “Research Academy,” the Iranian regime has used a military facility in Parchin to hide its activities and continue work on weaponization.
Soona Samsami, the U.S. Representative of the NCRI, called on the IAEA to immediately inspect the nuclear sites, and called on the international community to halt Iran’s enrichment program and called for dismantling all covert sites of Iran involved in nuclear weapons research and development.

In a press conference in Washington, DC on Friday, the National Council of Resistance of Iran revealed that the “nerve center” of the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons project, responsible for designing a nuclear bomb, has been continuing its work.
Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Mahabadi, also known as Dr. Hassan Mohseni, is the key individual in the regime’s nuclear weapons program. He is a veteran IRGC brigadier general and continues to head SPND.
According to the NCRI, the organization is comprised of 7 subdivisions, each of which is carrying out a certain portion of nuclear weapons research.
According to Alireza Jafarzadeh, the Deputy Director of the US Representative Office of the NCRI, a new location tied to the nuclear weapons project has been exposed, which had been kept a secret from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) up to this point.

Politics of Iran
The politics of Iran take place in a framework of a theocracy in a format of syncretic politics that is guided by an Islamist ideology. The December 1979 constitution, and its 1989 amendment, define the political, economic, and social order of the Islamic Republic of Iran, declaring that Shi'a Islam of the Twelver school of thought is Iran's official religion.
Iran has an elected president, parliament (or Majlis), "Assembly of Experts" (which elects the Supreme Leader), and local councils. According to the constitution all candidates running for these positions must be vetted by the Guardian Council before being elected.

National Council of the Resistance
The National Council of the Resistance, in French Conseil National de la Résistance (CNR), was the body that directed and coordinated the different movements of the French Resistance - the press, trade unions, and members of political parties hostile to the Vichy regime, starting from mid-1943.
Background
Various resistance movements had arisen in France since the start of the German occupation in June 1940. With the possible exception of the Francs-Tireurs et Partisans and other groups loyal to the Communist Party of France, the maquis groups were mostly unorganised and unrelated to one another. This lack of coordination made them less effective in their actions against the Nazi occupiers.
Formation and Meeting of Resistance Fighters
Charles de Gaulle, exiled in London and recognized by the UK as leader of a French government in exile, began seeking the formation of a committee to unify the resistance movements. On January 1, 1942, he delegated this task to Jean Moulin. Moulin achieved the feat on May 27, 1943 with the first meeting of the Conseil National de la Résistance in the apartment of René Corbin on the second floor of 48, Rue du Four, in Paris.
