Mississippi i/ˌmɪsᵻˈsɪpi/ is a state located in the southern region of the United States.
Jackson is the state capital and largest city, with a population of around 175,000 people. The state overall has a population of around 3 million people. Mississippi is the 32nd most extensive and the 32nd most populous of the 50 United States.
The state is heavily forested outside of the Mississippi Delta area. Its riverfront areas were cleared for slave-cultivated cotton production before the American Civil War, but after the war, the bottomlands were cleared mostly by freedmen. African Americans made up two-thirds of the property owners in the Delta by the end of the 19th century, but timber and railroad companies acquired much of the land. Clearing altered the ecology of the Delta, increasing the severity of flooding along the Mississippi. Much land is now held by agribusinesses. A largely rural state with agricultural areas dominated by industrial farms, Mississippi is ranked low or last among the states in such measures as health, educational attainment, and median household income. The state's catfish aquaculture farms produce the majority of farm-raised catfish consumed in the United States.
Brandon Allen's highlights against the Bulldogs. Allen would go 30-of-43 for 406 yards and would throw a school record seven touchdown passes. He would also become the Arkansas career leader in touchdown passes with 63. Best quarterback performance I've ever seen in person and it will take something God-like to top it.
The book entited....Once Upon a Time When We Were Colored by Clifton L. Taulbert a natiive of Glen Allan recalled the hardship of growing up in the Mississippi Delta during Jim Crow. Glen Allan, Ms is a community of people who live in extreme poverty. This town isn't incorporated at all.

Two teams that, in the SEC West race, are breathing but just barely, clash on a cold Arkansas night in the realistic hopes of getting invited to one of the Florida New Year's Bowl games. Both teams are hot - well at least until the Bulldogs got emasculated by Alabama last week - with offenses led by the two leading SEC quarterbacks. Dak Russell and Brandon Allen have done extraordinary things in the past month and on this night, each rose to the occasion again. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a truly terrific SEC West Division battle.

Travel video about nature park Mississippi Swamps in the USA. New Orleans is synonymous with good food, jazz and Mardi Gras and it was here that history was created: founded by France, conquered by Spain, bought by President Jefferson and occupied by theYankees! New Orleans also possesses the second largest harbour in the USA and even today they shout, „Full speed ahead!“ as paddle steamers negotiate ‘Ol Man River’, the grand waters of the Mississippi that flow to the Mississippi Swamps. The Swamps are extensive and only experienced boatmen can find their way around the mass of main and side tributaries as it’s easy to become disorientated, sight of the sky often being lost due to the density of the trees. In the past 5,000 years the Mississippi had seven different deltas prior to it being ...

It gets emotional right off the bat with Keith Allen reminiscing about his first duck hunting with his dad and good friends. The guys load up the boat and ride out to the blind to hunt ducks near the Mississippi. We can't think of a better person to share a blind with then Keith. The team also pays a visit to Mack's Prairie Wings to load up with ammo and gear.
