Boston (pronounced i/ˈbɒstən/) is the capital and largest city of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the United States. Boston also served as the historic county seat of Suffolk County until Massachusetts disbanded county government in 1999. The city proper covers 48 square miles (124 km2) with an estimated population of 655,884 in 2014, making it the largest city in New England and the 24th largest city in the United States. The city is the economic and cultural anchor of a substantially larger metropolitan area called Greater Boston, home to 4.7 million people and the tenth-largest metropolitan statistical area in the country. Greater Boston as a commuting region is home to 8.1 million people, making it the sixth-largest combined statistical area in the United States.
One of the oldest cities in the United States, Boston was founded on the Shawmut Peninsula in 1630 by Puritan settlers from England. It was the scene of several key events of the American Revolution, such as the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, the Battle of Bunker Hill, and the Siege of Boston. Upon American independence from Great Britain, the city continued to be an important port and manufacturing hub, as well as a center for education and culture. Through land reclamation and municipal annexation, Boston has expanded beyond the original peninsula. Its rich history attracts many tourists, with Faneuil Hall alone drawing over 20 million visitors per year. Boston's many firsts include the United States' first public school, Boston Latin School (1635), and first subway system (1897).

Travel video about destination Boston in the United States of America. Boston has over half a million inhabitants and is the largest of New England's cities. As its most important commercial and financial centre, the city on the Charles River has always played an historic role and was the cradle of Independence. In the centre of Boston, Copley Square features the Trinity Church, which contrasts with the modern Hancock Tower that dominates the skyline. Park Street Church was where, in 1829, William Garrison gave his first anti-slavery speech. In the adjacent Granary Burial Ground, some of America's most famous sons are buried, such as John Hancock, Samuel Adams and Paul Revere. Beacon Hill has hardly changed over the past 150 years, an architectural gem with narrow, winding cobbled street...

Traditional time-lapses are constrained by the idea that there is a single universal clock. In the spirit of Einstein's relativity theory, layer-lapses assign distinct clocks to any number of objects or regions in a scene. Each of these clocks may start at any point in time, and tick at any rate. The result is a visual time dilation effect known as layer-lapse. This video shows the basic timeline of the Boston Marathon Bombings (April 15-19, 2013). During just one week the United States experienced a great turmoil of emotions as trying to pinpoint the reasons why and who. The government, the media, and especially social media were trying to search for answers and all affected each other, similar to Newton's law of motion ("For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction"). Footage & Photos used from: NBC, Boston Globe, RT, AP, MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, NPR, New York TImes, Telegraph, and the people of Twitter. Made for SCADdistrict.com
The City of Boston is a timelapse short film i created for Boston. The idea of this film started with watching alot of timelapse video from Vimeo, and i couldn't find a lot of timelapse video based on Boston. I told myself that i have a camera and a few lenses i think i should make a timalapse video for Boston. After half of a year of working on this film, looking for locations, shooting and editing, it is finally finished. The goal of this timelapse is to showcase some of the beautiful places around Boston to you. I am proudly presenting you this short film "The City of Boston". I hope you enjoy this short film Gear: Canon 7d 24-70mm f2.8 10-22mm 100mm f2.8 Tripod and gorillapod custom motorized dolly
On April 21, 2014 the world’s focus will return to this great city to watch the 118th Boston Marathon. As usual, runners will take their places at the 26.2-mile mark, while friends, family, and the people of this iconic city line the streets to cheer them on. The memory of last year’s heinous and senseless act will not shy runners or spectators from celebrating this annual sporting event that welcomes participants from all over the world. Yet, we will all stand in remembrance of the beautiful people who lost their lives and those who were gravely injured in the tragedy. In pain we found love. We grieved together and chose friendship over hate. We honor the brave men and women who tirelessly worked in the days after the bombings. This short video is dedicated to the great city of Boston an...

Hey I've got no place to be
and no one I'd rather see
I won't mind if you can find
the time to stay with me
Oh I've got no time for wastin'
gotta live a life when I can
I won't hide if you decide
to let me be your man
Cause when I get close to you
not much to say
I get that same old feeling
I had in my younger days
(chorus)
And I can show you the way
It's just a game we play
It's easy, takin' it day by day
Hey you know I would concede
and I think we both agree
You and I can testify
that love is what we need
Just take a look around you
livin' for the future is blind
I believe what we can achieve
will soon be left behind
The things I try to say
are so hard to find
When you doubt what your love is
about let me ease you mind
(chorus)
Hey I've got no place to be
and no one I'd rather see
I won't mind if you find
that you're in love with me
Well we got no time to worry
gotta live a life when I can
I won't hide if you decide
to let me be your man
