Anarcho-capitalism is a political philosophy that advocates the elimination of the state in favor of individual sovereignty, private property, and open markets. Anarcho-capitalists believe that in the absence of statute (law by decree or legislation), society would improve itself through the discipline of the free market (or what its proponents describe as a "voluntary society"). In an anarcho-capitalist society, law enforcement, courts, and all other security services would be operated by privately funded competitors rather than centrally through compulsory taxation. Money, along with all other goods and services, would be privately and competitively provided in an open market. Therefore, personal and economic activities under anarcho-capitalism would be regulated by victim-based dispute resolution organizations under tort and contract law, rather than by statute through centrally determined punishment under political monopolies.
Various theorists have espoused legal philosophies similar to anarcho-capitalism. The first person to use the term, however, was Murray Rothbard, who in the mid-20th century synthesized elements from the Austrian School of economics, classical liberalism, and 19th-century American individualist anarchists Lysander Spooner and Benjamin Tucker (while rejecting their labor theory of value and the norms they derived from it). A Rothbardian anarcho-capitalist society would operate under a mutually agreed-upon libertarian "legal code which would be generally accepted, and which the courts would pledge themselves to follow." This pact would recognize self-ownership and the non-aggression principle (NAP), although methods of enforcement vary.
The Rubin Report is a current events talk show airing on Ora TV and YouTube, hosted by comedian and political satirist Dave Rubin. The show's producer David Janet describes it as "taking a politically incorrect approach at discussing big ideas and current events focusing on politics, religion, and the media. The shows features individuals as well as a panel of guests often consisting of authors, journalists, comedians, and professors."
Dave Rubin left The Six Pack radio show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio in New York City in 2013 to launch a politically charged talk show called The Rubin Report in Los Angeles, California.
In 2015, the show briefly moved to RYOT News which "provided Dave Rubin with a great opportunity".
In August 2015, Larry King's Ora TV picked up the show which debuted on September 9, 2015.The Rubin Report became the network's third political commentary show alongside PoliticKING with Larry King and Jesse Ventura's Off The Grid.
From 2013-2015, The Rubin Report featured a panel of two guests and covered weekly news stories ranging from politics to entertainment. After launching on Ora TV in 2015, the show took a more focussed approach on the big ideas relating to politics, religion, as well as a focus on one on one interviews and monologues from Dave Rubin. The Rubin Report consists of three segments, Direct Message, The Sit Down, and The Panel.
Dave Rubin (born David Joshua Rubin; June 26, 1976) is an American comedian, talk show host, and television personality. He is the creator and host of political talk show The Rubin Report, part of Ora TV and formerly of The Young Turks Network. He previously hosted the The Six Pack podcast and radio show on Sirius XM Radio.
Rubin is known for his political satire and political commentary. He targets many topics including political correctness, free speech, politics, mass media, religion, foreign affairs, and the ideological split between liberals and the progressive movement. He has been influential in popularizing the phrase "Regressive left."
Dave Rubin was born in Brooklyn, New York, spent his adolescence in Syosset, New York, and resided for 13 years on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. He is of Jewish descent and the oldest of three siblings. In 1994, Rubin graduated from Syosset High School. Bryan Douglas Caplan (born April 8, 1971) is an American economist. Caplan is a professor of economics at George Mason University, research fellow at the Mercatus Center, adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute, and blogger for EconLog. He works in public choice theory and is interested in libertarian subjects.
Caplan holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University. His thesis is titled "Three essays on the economics of government behavior." He is married with four children, a professor of economics at George Mason University, and resides in Oakton, Virginia.
The Myth of the Rational Voter: Why Democracies Choose Bad Policies, published in 2007, further develops the "rational irrationality" concept from Caplan's earlier academic writing. It draws heavily from the Survey of Americans and Economists on the Economy in making the argument that voters have systematically biased beliefs about many important economic topics. Caplan writes that rational irrationality is an explanation for the failure of democracy. The book was reviewed in the popular press, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the New Yorker, as well as in academic publications such as the Journal of Libertarian Studies,Public Choice,Libertarian Papers, and The Independent Review. It received a scathing critique by Rupert Read in the European Review.

This week we examine the contradictory notion of “Anarcho-Capitalism” and dismantle this illogical concept by illustrating current examples of why free markets have nothing to do with freedom.
Do we even need a government? Some anarchist philosophers and economists don't think so. Dr. Nigel Ashford takes a look at two anarcho-capitalist thinkers, Murray Rothbard and David Friedman. Rothbard criticizes the state for its use of coercion, and Friedman criticizes it for its inefficiency. Both argue that there are free-market alternatives to all government services.
