In today's video I re-review an old favourite. The Christmas before last I sold my 104 to give the final push in funds needed to purchase another grail aviation watch. Despite my rave review of the Sinn, at the time it seemed right to let something go in order to get the Breitling Navitimer I had always dreamed about. A week ago I was offered a trade I could not refuse and fate has returned the 104 into my possession. This German made pilots automatic watch embodies everything Sinn is renowned for. At an affordable price tag, practical features, robust and made to a luxury standard, it punches way above it weight. For this and many more reasons I deemed it the "perfect everyday watch". But the question remains, do I still believe in that statement I made over a year and many watches later?
Also in this video I unbox a fantastic Breitling I have always wanted to take a look at and give my first impressions.

Hans-Werner Sinn, Präsident des ifo Instituts a.D. In seinem Vortrag „Der Schwarze Juni. Brexit, Flüchtlingswelle, Euro-Desaster – Wie die Neugründung Europas gelingt“ ging er auf die großen Herausforderungen für Europa ein. Hierbei erfolgt nicht nur eine profunde Analyse der Situation, sondern er entwirft auch ein kompaktes Programm zur Neugründung Europas um eine weitere Verschärfung der Krise zu verhindern. Angesichts des steigenden Zuspruchs zu extrem orientierten Parteien, wird dies für eine langfristige Sicherung von Friede und Wohlstand auf dem Kontinent umso dringlicher.
Ich bin wahrlich kein Freund der neoliberalen Wirtschaftsökonomie. Herr Sinn macht empirische Wirtschaftswissenschaft. Nur Fakten und eine realistische - plausible Wirklichkeitswahrnehmung und dementsprechende Erklärung der tatsächlichen Vorgänge werden ans Publikum adressiert. Seine Zukunftsprognose ist eine volkswirtschaftlich Makroökonomische Analyse. Das in der kapitalistische Mikro- und Makroökonomie immer Schuldner gebraucht werden, ist völlig klar. (Es kann ja auch nicht nur Gewinner geben) Jedoch wenn unendlich Schulden gemacht werden können (Staaten/Bankenwesen/Privathaushalte etc.), dann hat ja alles kein Wert, denn es bietet kein Anreiz. Vertrauen und Glaube an das System gehen verloren und was dann folgt, wird übel... :-/
Die beste Rede von Ihn. Hier spricht er absolut Tacheles und geht tief ins Detail... kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen, auch wenn so einiges bereits bekannt ist, so ist es definitiv sein Bester Vortrag 2016... hervorragend informativ. :-)

Sense and reference
Sinn and Bedeutung are usually translated, respectively, as sense and reference. Two different aspects of some terms' meanings, a term's reference is the object to which the term refers, while the term's sense is the way that the term refers to that object.
Sinn and Bedeutung were introduced by German philosopher and mathematician Gottlob Frege in his 1892 paper "Über Sinn und Bedeutung" ("On sense and reference"). Frege applied Bedeutung mainly to proper names and, in lesser extent, to sentences.
Though the distinction resides in philosophy of language, it enters philosophy's other areas, including philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and metaethics.
Motivation for and development of the distinction
Frege's distinction rejects a view put forth by John Stuart Mill, according to which a proper name has no meaning above and beyond the object to which it refers (its referent or reference). That is, the word "Aristotle" just means Aristotle, that person, and no more. It does not mean "The writer of De Anima." Hence, the sentence Aristotle was Greek says only that that person was Greek. It does not say that the writer of De Anima was Greek. That is, it permits that Aristotle might not have written De Anima. More generally, for any given proposition about Aristotle, one can use the name without believing that proposition to be true of Aristotle.

Hans-Werner Sinn
Hans-Werner Sinn (born March 7, 1948) is a German economist and President of the Ifo Institute for Economic Research and serves on the German economy ministry’s advisory council. He is Professor of Economics and Public Finance at the University of Munich.
Education and career
After studying economics at the University of Münster from 1967 to 1972 and receiving his doctorate from the University of Mannheim in 1978, Sinn was awarded the venia legendi in 1983, also from the University of Mannheim.

The Sinn 104 Pilot Watch (A Re-Review) - Is It Still A Perfect Everyday Watch? + Breitling Unboxing
In today's video I re-review an old favourite. The Christmas before last I sold my 104 to give the final push in funds needed to purchase another grail aviation watch. Despite my rave review of the Sinn, at the time it seemed right to let something go in order to get the Breitling Navitimer I had always dreamed about. A week ago I was offered a trade I could not refuse and fate has returned the 104 into my possession. This German made pilots automatic watch embodies everything Sinn is renowned for. At an affordable price tag, practical features, robust and made to a luxury standard, it punches way above it weight. For this and many more reasons I deemed it the "perfect everyday watch". But the question remains, do I still believe in that statement I made over a year and many watches later?...

(Es kann ja auch nicht nur Gewinner geben) Jedoch wenn unendlich Schulden gemacht werden können (Staaten/Bankenwesen/Privathaushalte etc.), dann hat ja alles kein Wert, denn es bietet kein Anreiz. Vertrauen und Glaube an das System gehen verloren und was dann folgt, wird übel... :-/
Die beste Rede von Ihn. Hier spricht er absolut Tacheles und geht tief ins Detail... kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen, auch wenn so einiges bereits bekannt ist, so ist es definitiv sein Bester Vortrag 2016... hervorragend informativ. :-)
