Insane amounts of snow. Some drifts covering all but rooftops of homes, completely covering cars, Power crews fixing power outage in Homewood. Winter Storm warning with forecasted 5-10' of snow. Already reaching the low threshold of those totals with two days to go.

This video covers the Tahoe City Dam from 2015 though 2017 where we had major draught here in California and in Lake Tahoe.
In 2017 we had over 50+ feet of snow and lots of rain which has brought the Lake levels to above its natural rim.
This was just footage I had laying around and tried my best to match some clips, but you guys get the idea :)

Tahoe City, California
Tahoe City (formerly, Tahoe) is an unincorporated community in Placer County, California. Tahoe City is located on Lake Tahoe, 14 miles (22.5 km) southeast of Donner Pass. It lies at an elevation of 6250 feet (1905 m).
The site was surveyed in 1863, and Tahoe House was built in 1864. The Tahoe post office opened in 1871, closed for a period in 1896, and changed its name to Tahoe City in 1949. The ZIP Code is 96145. Tahoe City is combined with Sunnyside for census purposes into Sunnyside-Tahoe City census-designated place (CDP).
Climate
This region experiences warm (but not hot) and dry summers, with no average monthly temperatures above 71.6 °F. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Tahoe City has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate, abbreviated "Csb" on climate maps.

Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe (/ˈtɑːhoʊ/; Washo: dáʔaw) is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada of the United States. At a surface elevation of 6,225 ft (1,897 m), it is located along the border between California and Nevada, west of Carson City. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America. Its depth is 1,645 ft (501 m), making it the second deepest in the United States after Crater Lake (1,945 ft (593 m)). Additionally, Lake Tahoe is the sixth largest lake by volume in the United States at 122,160,280 acre·ft (150,682,490 dam3), behind the five Great Lakes.
The lake was formed about 2 million years ago and is a part of the Lake Tahoe Basin with the modern lake being shaped during the ice ages. It is known for the clarity of its water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides. The area surrounding the lake is also referred to as Lake Tahoe, or simply Tahoe. More than 75% of the lake's watershed is national forest land, comprising the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit of the United States Forest Service.

There is not enough evidence to assert what conditions gave rise to the first cities. Some theorists have speculated on what they consider suitable pre-conditions and basic mechanisms that might have been important driving forces.

Insane amounts of snow. Some drifts covering all but rooftops of homes, completely covering cars, Power crews fixing power outage in Homewood. Winter Storm warning with forecasted 5-10' of snow. Already reaching the low threshold of those totals with two days to go.

This video covers the Tahoe City Dam from 2015 though 2017 where we had major draught here in California and in Lake Tahoe.
In 2017 we had over 50+ feet of snow and lots of rain which has brought the Lake levels to above its natural rim.
This was just footage I had laying around and tried my best to match some clips, but you guys get the idea :)
