Hatebreed

Hatebreed is an American metalcore band from Connecticut, formed in 1994. They have released 8 studio albums to date. Their musical style blends influences from hardcore punk and heavy metal. A prominent band within the hardcore scene, they have also been considered part of the metal scene.

History

Hatebreed was formed in 1994 in Bridgeport and New Haven. They began by recording a three song demo and selling it to locals. Those three songs would eventually be released on a split seven-inch with New York's Neglect in 1995. They followed that up with the highly acclaimed EP Under the Knife scheduled to come out on Big Wheel Recreation in 1995 but then was self-released 1996, and went out on tour around the east coast/midwest with the UKHC band Voorhees. The following year they released Satisfaction is the Death of Desire on Victory Records, then the home of some of the biggest bands in American hardcore. Satisfaction sold more copies than any other debut in the history of the record company.

Nuclear Blast

Nuclear Blast is an independent record label and mail order record distributor with subsidiaries in Germany, the United States and Brazil. The record label was founded in 1987 by Markus Staiger in Germany. Originally releasing hardcore punk records, the label moved on to releasing albums by melodic death metal, grindcore, power metal and black metal bands, as well as tribute albums.

More recent signings include names such as Decapitated, Danzig, Slayer,Cradle of Filth,Edguy, Nightwish, Symphony X, Suffocation, Machine Head and Fear Factory.

History

Nuclear Blast was formed in 1987 after founder Markus Staiger travelled throughout the United States for four weeks and saw a gig of his favorite band BL'AST!. The label's first release was a vinyl compilation called Senseless Death (NB 001) featuring US hardcore bands like Attitude, Sacred Denial, Impulse Manslaughter and others.

In August, 10th, 1997, Nuclear Blast held a concert in Longhorn/LKA, Stuttgart named 10 Years Nuclear Blast Festival at which the following bands performed:

Perseverance (Hatebreed album)

Perseverance is the second studio release and the major-label debut by the American metalcore band Hatebreed. It was released in 2002 by Universal Records. "I Will Be Heard" is featured in the movie xXx and on its soundtrack.

I Will (Beatles song)

"I Will" is a song by the Beatles that was released on The Beatles. It was written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon–McCartney) and features him on lead vocal, guitar, and "vocal bass".

Background

"I Will" was one of the songs worked on by the Beatles and their associates while in Rishikesh, India. Although the music came together fairly easily, the words were worked on in India, and remained unfinished even as recording began back in London.

Recording

This quiet song required 67 takes, and George Harrison did not play (during The Beatles sessions, the Beatles often recorded in separate studios). However, the reason for Harrison's absence from the session has never been clarified.

During take 19 of "I Will", McCartney ad-libbed an untitled and uncopyrighted song (referred to as "Can you take me back?" by author Ian MacDonald), a 28-second segment of which ended up on side 4 of the album The Beatles as what MacDonald described as “a sinister introduction to "Revolution 9"”. Also ad-libbed by McCartney was "Los Paranoias", released, together with take 1 of "I Will", in 1996 on Anthology 3.

I Will Be

"I Will Be" is a song co-written and originally performed by French-Canadian singer Avril Lavigne, which was included on the North American, Taiwanese, and Japanese limited editions of her third studio album The Best Damn Thing and as an iTunes Store pre-order bonus track in 2007; British singer-songwriter Leona Lewis covered the song for her debut studio album, Spirit, also released in 2007. Max Martin and Lukasz Gottwald also co-wrote the song, whilst production was helmed by Gottwald under his production name Dr. Luke. It was co-produced by Steven Wolf and Max Beckley and Smit. It is a piano and guitar led song. It garnered a mixed response from music critics, with some critics praising Lewis's vocal performance and delivery, whilst others described it as emotionless.

Upon the release of Spirit in November 2007, the song peaked at number 160 on the UK Singles Chart due to strong digital download sales. It was released for US Contemporary hit radio airplay on 6 January 2009. Throughout January to March 2009, it also made an impact on the Canadian and United States charts; in the former it peaked at number 83, while it peaked at number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the latter. However, it was more successful on the US Adult Pop Songs and Pop Songs charts, peaking at numbers 23 and 24, respectively. As part of promotion, a music video was shot in New York City and featured Chace Crawford as Lewis's love interest. In January 2009, she performed the song on the Late Show with David Letterman.
