The Futura font (really typeface, but let's drop the pedantry for the sake of clarity) is famous. Futura was created by Paul Renner in 1920s Germany, just as the Bauhaus movement was picking up steam. Though Renner wasn't Bauhaus, Futura had that flavor, which was part of the problem.
The newly powerful Nazis favored the ornate Fraktur type style to modern Futura, so they excluded both the type and its creator. Of course, Nazis are not just evil, but also often insane and inefficient — so Futura returned to Germany, as did Renner. But by that time, Futura had established itself as the international typeface of the future, and the font's legacy was secured.
That's even more clear when you learn about the lunar plaque that went up on Apollo 11. Futura was the font selected for that great task — making Futura the font that escaped the Nazis and landed on the moon.

Hey, want to have cool fonts on your android device? Come on then. In this video we are presenting a couple of methods which can be used to change fonts in any android phone without root also. You need an application for the process which is iFont (available free on playstore and link is below). The app works very smoothly for rooted users and even some of the non rooted phones including samsung devices, mi phones, cyanogen devices. Please try with this method first and if it does not go well go with the second one where we featured a launcher (link is below) without a launcher, changing the fonts in non rooted phones is almost impossible. We are searching for the best method for non rooted users and will upload it once we verify.

In metal typesetting, a font is a particular size, weight and style of a typeface. Each font was a matched set of type, one piece (called a "sort") for each glyph, and a typeface consisting of a range of fonts that shared an overall design.

L’application prototyp-0 est spécialement conçue pour le dessin de caractère. Grâce au procédé automatisé, prototyp-0 accélère considérablement le processus de création, permettant ainsi de générer dans un délai très court une multiplicité de polices typographiques complètes. Pour correspondre à ses critères, l’utilisateur pourra régler une vingtaine de paramètres (graisse, chasse, hauteur d’X, empattements, etc.) Ainsi à partir des réglages utilisés sur une seule lettre ou suite de lettres «type», on obtient instantanément ces mêmes réglages répercutés sur la totalité des glyphes : bas-de-casse, capitales, petites capitales mais aussi chiffres et signes de ponctuation courante. You need an application for the process which is iFont (available free on playstore and link is below). The app works very smoothly for rooted users and even some of the non rooted phones including samsung devices, mi phones, cyanogen devices. Using the projection mapping technique we get an illusion of depth & perspective that gives the different kinds of letters a new dimension in space & time. St Lucas university college of art & design presented me the task of creating a Font machine. A machine that on its own creates an unique font. I have chosen light as my medium for creating the 26 characters of the alphabet. By using the projection mapping technique where the light acts as the medium for the machine - I was able to bring the full alphabet to life.

The Futura font (really typeface, but let's drop the pedantry for the sake of clarity) is famous. Futura was created by Paul Renner in 1920s Germany, just as the Bauhaus movement was picking up steam. Though Renner wasn't Bauhaus, Futura had that flavor, which was part of the problem.
The newly powerful Nazis favored the ornate Fraktur type style to modern Futura, so they excluded both the type and its creator. Of course, Nazis are not just evil, but also often insane and inefficient — so Futura returned to Germany, as did Renner. But by that time, Futura had established itself as the international typeface of the future, and the font's legacy was secured.
That's even more clear when you learn about the lunar plaque that went up on Apollo 11. Futura was the font selected for that great task — making Futura the font that escaped the Nazis and landed on the moon.

Hey, want to have cool fonts on your android device? Come on then. In this video we are presenting a couple of methods which can be used to change fonts in any android phone without root also. You need an application for the process which is iFont (available free on playstore and link is below). The app works very smoothly for rooted users and even some of the non rooted phones including samsung devices, mi phones, cyanogen devices. Please try with this method first and if it does not go well go with the second one where we featured a launcher (link is below) without a launcher, changing the fonts in non rooted phones is almost impossible. We are searching for the best method for non rooted users and will upload it once we verify.

Two typographers ( Pierre & Damien / www.plmd.me ) and a pro race pilot (Stef van Campenhoudt) collaborated to design a font with a car.
The car movements were tracked using a custom software, designed by interactive artist Zachary Lieberman. ( www.openframeworks.cc )

Le dessin typographique reste une discipline de labeur qui exige beaucoup de temps et de connaissances pour de nouveaux créateurs de caractères qui s'aventurent par plaisir ou exceptionnellement dans le dessin complet d'une fonte.
L’application prototyp-0 est spécialement conçue pour le dessin de caractère. Grâce au procédé automatisé, prototyp-0 accélère considérablement le processus de création, permettant ainsi de générer dans un délai très court une multiplicité de polices typographiques complètes.
Pour correspondre à ses critères, l’utilisateur pourra régler une vingtaine de paramètres (graisse, chasse, hauteur d’X, empattements, etc.)
Ainsi à partir des réglages utilisés sur une seule lettre ou suite de lettres «type», on obtient instantanément ces mêmes réglages répercutés sur la totalité des glyphes : bas-de-casse, capitales, petites capitales mais aussi chiffres et signes de ponctuation courante.
La base de données comportant toutes les caractéristiques typographiques permet de réaliser n’importe quelle police de caractères désirée, y compris des fontes similaires aux grands styles historiques.
Des marqueurs permettent de signaler à l’utilisateur les limites du convenu pour rester dans les proportions et règles établies de la typographie.
Néanmoins, le logiciel ne se cantonne pas à recréer des formes convenues. En effet, les marqueurs sont également faits pour être dépassés, projetant l’utilisateur dans une partie plus créative et expérimentale où celui-ci pourra élaborer ses propres chimères et découvrir des formes nouvelles et inattendues.

The font is revealed with the colours and train lines from London's famous underground map. The mix of punctuated and smooth motion is designed to signify the underground's complex growth. I really enjoyed this aspect of the project and found it to be a great learning exercise!

Fragmental is a tetrahedron based geometric sculpture - designed as a surface for typographic animations. Using the projection mapping technique we get an illusion of depth & perspective that gives the different kinds of letters a new dimension in space & time.
St Lucas university college of art & design presented me the task of creating a Font machine. A machine that on its own creates an unique font. I have chosen light as my medium for creating the 26 characters of the alphabet. A Chihuahua-mix puppy was found in a Las Vegas airport bathroom with a handwritten note detailing that the dog's owner was fleeing from domestic violence and had run out of options, according to CBS News. The dog was found last weekend in the airport bathroom with an anonymous note that read,"My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn't afford me to get on the flight." ...
