From January '99 of the defunct show hosted by Chris Jagger. The premise was, a couple who had minor complaints about each other would date someone else, then at the end we would find out if they'd stay together (most usually did) or not. They were a couple who met at a church doing humanitarian work. Sam was a surfer who loved his pickup truck, and Hillary complained about him being self absorbed and a little obnoxious. The show set Sam up with Chandra (more easygoing), and Hillary up with Teddy (more of a real gentleman).

1999 Movie Trailer Harrison Ford, Kristin Scott Thomas
*Rated R. Please read description. After some years of tension, Richard (Clive Owen) begins a sexual relationship with his sister Natalie (Saskia Reeves), who is now married. The relationship between Richard and Natalie proves dangerously obsessional. Their private intensity (& working class origins) contrast with the middle-class, inhibited, stuffy public scenes we see in the Richmond world into which Natalie has moved with her marriage. As the guilt and intensity of the siblings increases we seem to be heading for disaster, especially when Natalie's husband Sinclair (Alan Rickman) finds out.

As controversial this bizarre lesbian love story might be, this film of Michael Winterbottom delivered some phenomenal acting from Amanda Plummer and Saskia Reeves and some truly poetic moments such as its haunting end. The song in the soundtrack, "I Don't Need" by The Cranberries.

A scene from a movie directed by Syd Macartney called THE BRIDGE released in 1993 starring Saskia Reeves, David O'Hara, Joss Ackland and Rosemary Harris. The film's narrative was based on a painting called The Bridge which hangs in the Tate Britain Gallery in London and was painted by English impressionist painter Philip Wilson Steer around 1880. The hand of the painter and the sketches as presented in the movie were drawn on screen by the cinematographer David Tattersall (Star Wars, The Green Mile etc) for whom the movie was a huge break. When Isobel Hetherington and her three young daughters take up their seaside residence in the hot summer of 1887, life seems idyllic. But the arrival of Phillip Wilson Steer for his annual painting visit launches a chain of events that will change their l...
And when you took that stand
I was so proud of you
And now I'm not so sure
You should have let them through
And when the curtain fell
I saw you standing there
Just looking so alive
And then you started to fly
Heart, I'm so eager to please
Heart, let me dance my disease
Heart, I just long to be free
To be healed
And so they ran to you
They tried to hold you down
But you just slipped your skin
And let the whole world in
Heart, I'm so eager to please
Heart, let me dance my disease
Heart, I just long to be free
To be healed
I've been looking for meaning
Been afraid of these feelings
Got stuck in my mind
Cut myself into pieces
Now I'm coming home in pieces
Coming home in pieces
Coming home
Heart, I'm so eager to please
Heart, let me dance my disease
Heart, I just long to be free
Heart, I just long to be healed
Heart, I don't know what I need
Heart, let me dance my disease
Heart, I'm just longing to heal
