Lancaster is a city and the county town of Lancashire, England. It stands on the River Lune and has a population of 52,234. The wider City of Lancaster local government district has a population of 138,375. The House of Lancaster was a branch of the English royal family, whilst the Duchy of Lancaster holds large estates on behalf of Elizabeth II, who is also the Duke of Lancaster. WHO ARE THE AMISH PEOPLE OF AMERICA?
One thing I love about the USA is the diversity. You can pretty much find people from all cultures, religions, traditions and walks of life inside of this country of 327 million people.
One of the most interesting groups of people that I've come across are the AMISH. They are traditional Christian Anabaptists who originally have Swiss German roots, and settled (mostly) in Pennsylvania in the early 18th Century.
I went to Lancaster Country, PA today to learn all about their way of life, and it's fascinating! Have you ever heard of the Amish before?

Lancaster station (California)
Lancaster is a Metrolink train station in the city of Lancaster, California, United States. It is served by Metrolink's Antelope Valley Line from Los Angeles Union Station to Lancaster. 18 Metrolink trains serve the station each weekday and 12 serve on weekends. Weekday Metrolink service runs primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel while weekend departures and arrivals are fairly evenly spaced throughout the day.

Lancaster, New Hampshire
Lancaster is a town in Coos County, New Hampshire, United States, on the Connecticut River named after Lancaster, England. As of the 2010 census, the town population was 3,507, the second largest in the county after Berlin. It is the county seat of Coos County and gateway to the Great North Woods Region. Lancaster, which includes the villages of Grange and South Lancaster, is home to Weeks State Park and the Lancaster Fair. Part of the White Mountain National Forest is in the eastern portion. The town is part of the Berlin, NH−VT Micropolitan Statistical Area.
The primary settlement in town, where 1,725 people resided at the 2010 census, is defined as the Lancaster census-designated place (CDP) and is located at the junctions of U.S. Route 3 and U.S. Route 2, along the Israel River.
Lancaster is the site of the "PorcFest" summer camp gathering of the Free State Project.
History
Granted as Upper Coos in 1763 by Colonial Governor Benning Wentworth to Captain David Page of Petersham, Massachusetts, the town was settled in 1764 by his son, David Page, Jr. and Emmons Stockwell. It was the first settlement north of Haverhill, 50 miles (80 km) to the south, and originally included land in what is now Vermont. Situated on the northern Connecticut River, the community endured many Indian hostilities. It would be named for Lancaster, Massachusetts, hometown of an early inhabitant. Reverend Joshua Weeks, a grantee of the town, was among the group of explorers who named the mountains of the Presidential Range. Other grantees were Timothy Nash and Benjamin Sawyer, who discovered Crawford Notch in 1771, making a shorter route to Portland, Maine possible.

Forrest (singer)
Forrest M. Thomas Jr. (April 21, 1953 – September 9, 2013), known professionally as Forrest, was an American singer, based in the Netherlands.
Born in Galveston, Texas, where he sang in church during childhood, he moved to Los Angeles, California as a teen and won several contests there as a singer. After this stage in his career, he moved to the Netherlands, where he had a hit in 1982 with the song, "Rock the Boat", a cover of The Hues Corporation's 1974 No. 1 US hit. His version peaked at No. 4 in the UK Singles Chart and in his native United States (No. 9 Hot Dance Club Play).
A second single, "Feel the Need in Me" (originally by The Detroit Emeralds), was a hit in the UK, reaching No. 17. A third single, "One Lover (Don't Stop The Show)", peaked at No. 67 in the UK.
He and his wife, Manon Thomas, a television presenter had two sons, but later separated, after which he began to concentrate again on music. He sang in R.E.S.P.E.C.T., a theatre show, in 2001, dedicated to 1960s soul music. He was asked by DJ Roog to front the band Planet Hardsoul, who had a minor hit with their cover of "Where Did Our Love Go". In December 2012 Thomas married again, to Diana van Lippen.

One thing I love about the USA is the diversity. You can pretty much find people from all cultures, religions, traditions and walks of life inside of this country of 327 million people.
One of the most interesting groups of people that I've come across are the AMISH. They are traditional Christian Anabaptists who originally have Swiss German roots, and settled (mostly) in Pennsylvania in the early 18th Century.
I went to Lancaster Country, PA today to learn all about their way of life, and it's fascinating! Have you ever heard of the Amish before?

Lancaster is a city and the county town of Lancashire, England. It stands on the River Lune and has a population of 52,234. The wider City of Lancaster local government district has a population of 138,375. The House of Lancaster was a branch of the English royal family, whilst the Duchy of Lancaster holds large estates on behalf of Elizabeth II, who is also the Duke of Lancaster. As an ancient settlement, it is marked by Lancaster Castle, Lancaster Priory Church, Lancaster Cathedral and the Ashton Memorial. It is home to Lancaster University and has a campus of the University of Cumbria.
The city's name was first recorded in the Domesday Book in 1086 as Loncastre, where "Lon" refers to the River Lune, and "castre", from the Old English cæster and Latin castrum for "fort", refers to the Roman fort which stood at the site.

WHO ARE THE AMISH PEOPLE OF AMERICA?
One thing I love about the USA is the diversity. You can pretty much find people from all cultures, religions, traditions and walks of life inside of this country of 327 million people.
One of the most interesting groups of people that I've come across are the AMISH. They are traditional Christian Anabaptists who originally have Swiss German roots, and settled (mostly) in Pennsylvania in the early 18th Century.
I went to Lancaster Country, PA today to learn all about their way of life, and it's fascinating! Have you ever heard of the Amish before?
