Skol was initially created to be a global beer brand. Allied Breweries (UK), Labatt (Canada), Pripps-Bryggerierna (Sweden) and Unibra (Belgium) formed a new company called Skol International in 1964. Its aim was the creation of a world-wide beer brand, Skol, which could be licensed, manufactured and marketed across the world. In the late 1960s, it was heavily advertised on Radio Veronica as Skol International, with an advertising jingle sung by Patrica Paay, later a very successful Dutch pop singer and TV presenter. Since then participation in the company has changed significantly.
From 1973 to 1982, beer under the Skol brand was brewed by the Dutch Oranjeboom Brewery, but it was not a success in the Dutch market.
In 1992, the merger between Allied Breweries and Carlsberg created Carlsberg-Tetley's, who used to brew the beer at their brewery in Leeds until the brewery was closed in 2011. It continues to be distributed in the UK, with an ABV reduced to 2.8%.
Currently, Skol is the most popular beer in Brazil. It was originally produced by Caracu, which was bought by Brahma in 1980. In 1999, Brahma merged with Antarctica and became AmBev, then InBev and later AB InBev. AB Inbev is the biggest beverage company in the world, larger than Coca-Cola in revenue. Skol beer became internationally recognized as a Brazilian beer, though not initially conceived in Brazil.
Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba, also known as Koffi Olomide (born 13 July 1956), is a DR Congolese soukous singer, dancer, producer, and composer. Koffi has had several gold records in his musical career. He is the founder of the Quartier Latin International orchestra with many notable artists including Fally Ipupa and Ferré Gola.
Olomide was born on Friday 13 July 1956, in Kisangani, Democratic Republic of Congo. His mother named him Koffi because he was born on a Friday. He grew up in a middle-class family, without any musical background. During his youth, Olomide would improvise by singing popular songs with his own lyrics and altered rhythms until a neighbor taught him how to play the guitar.
Described by fellow students and his teachers alike as "a very bright student," Olomide got a scholarship to study in Bordeaux, France where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics. He is also reported to hold a master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Paris.
"Feeling Good" (also known as "Feelin' Good") is a song written by English songwriters Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the musical The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd. The song was first performed on stage in 1964 by Cy Grant on the UK tour, and by Gilbert Price in the original Broadway cast in 1965.
Nina Simone recorded the song for her 1965 album I Put a Spell on You and it became a standard. The song has been covered by many artists, most notably by English rock band Muse, Sammy Davis Jr., Michael Bublé, George Michael, Eels and Joe Bonamassa.
Although Bricusse and Newley shared songwriting credits, the words of the song are usually attributed to Bricusse, with the music by Newley. The song was first performed in public by the Guyanese-British singer and actor Cy Grant on the opening night of The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham on 3 August 1964; Elaine Paige played the part of one of the "Urchins" in the chorus. The show, directed by Newley, toured British provincial theatres, and was then taken to the US by theatre producer David Merrick. It opened on 16 May 1965 at the Shubert Theatre in New York City, where the role of "the Negro", who sings "Feeling Good", was taken by Gilbert Price.

A little exercise - "puppet needs a drink" - that turned into a variation on Ingmar Bergman's classic Seventh Seal. Animated on ones at 25 fps, shot with a Nikon D50 and video assist from a spycam looking through the viewfinder was captured with Stopmotion Pro 5. Puppets made and animated by Nick Hilligoss, dialog cheerfully stolen from the original film, and mistranslated with decreasing regard for what they actually said as the storylines diverge.
