Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band formed in July 1967, in London. The band have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. In 1998, selected members of Fleetwood Mac were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
The two most successful periods for the band were during the late 1960s British blues boom, when they were led by guitarist Peter Green and achieved a UK number one with "Albatross"; and from 1975 to 1987, as a more pop-oriented act, featuring Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood Mac's second album after the incorporation of Buckingham and Nicks, 1977's Rumours, produced four U.S. Top 10 singles (including Nicks' song "Dreams"), and remained at No. 1 on the American albums chart for 31 weeks, as well as reaching the top spot in various countries around the world. To date, the album has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it the eighth-highest-selling album of all time.

Fleetwood is a town and civil parish within the Wyre district of Lancashire, England, lying at the northwest corner of the Fylde. It had a population of 25,939 people at the 2011 census. The town was the first planned community of the Victorian era. For most of the 20th century, Fleetwood was a prominent deep-sea fishing port, but, since the 1970s, the fishing industry has declined precipitously and the town has undergone economic difficulties. Fleetwood is also a seaside resort, serving as a quiet contrast to nearby Blackpool.
Ptolemy's Geographia in the 2nd century AD records a tribe known as the Setantii living in what is believed to be present-day West Lancashire, and a seaport built by the Romans called PORTVS SETANTIORVM ('the port of the Setantii') abutting Moricambe Aestuarium (presumably Morecambe Bay). There is also evidence of a Roman road running from Ribchester to Kirkham (12 miles (19 km) southeast of Fleetwood) which then makes a sharp turn to the northwest. Together, these suggest that Fleetwood may well have been the location of this Roman port. No direct evidence of the port has been found, but in 2007, an Iron Age settlement was discovered at Bourne Hill, just south of present-day Fleetwood, suggesting the area was populated in pre-Roman times.
Mac or MAC may refer to:
Fleetwood Town Football Club is an English professional football club, based in the town of Fleetwood in Lancashire. The club participates in League One, the third tier of English football. Established in 1997, the current Fleetwood Town F.C. is the third incarnation of the club which first formed in 1908. Their home strip is red shirts with white sleeves and white shorts. The home ground is Highbury Stadium in Fleetwood. The club won the 2011–12 Football Conference, and played in the Football League for the first time in the 2012–13 season. In May 2014, at Wembley, Fleetwood won the promotion play-off to League One, the club's 6th promotion in 10 years.
The current club was officially established in 1997 but, in two previous incarnations, the club's history dates back to 1908. The original club, Fleetwood F.C., were champions of the Lancashire Combination in 1923–24, and registered a hat-trick of Lancashire Combination Cup wins in 1932, 1933 and 1934. Their goalkeeper in the first of those victories was Frank Swift, then only eighteen years old. After almost sixty years as a Lancashire Combination club, they were made founder members of the Northern Premier League in 1968. The club finished in 10th place in their first season. As the NPL was one of several leagues immediately below Division Four of the Football League, this was effectively the fifth tier of English football, and the club would not surpass this success until 2010–11. Despite winning the Northern Premier League Cup in 1971, the club languished in the lower half of the table, finishing bottom for two successive seasons (1974–75 and 1975–76) and folded in 1976 because of financial difficulties. Great players include the late Percy Ronson, after whom one stand is named.
"The Chain" is a song by the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released on their best-selling album Rumours. It is the only song from the album credited to all five members (Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood); "The Chain" was created from combinations of several previously rejected materials, including solo work by Buckingham, Nicks and Christine McVie. It was assembled, often manually by splicing tapes with a razor blade, at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California, with hired engineers Ken Caillat and Richard Dashut. Following the critical and commercial success of Rumours, "The Chain" has been featured on The Dance, a 1997 live concert CD/DVD package, as well as several greatest hits compilations. It has attained particular fame in the United Kingdom, where the instrumental section is used as the theme tune for the BBC's and Channel 4's television coverage of Formula One.<ref name=Channel4Press">"Tweet". Rayne aligns herself with Pat Garret, a member of the long-thought-dead Brimstone society, a dishonest preacher, and a lowlife named Franson, to stop Billy the Kid and show the world how the West was really won.

Fleetwood Mac - Dreams from 1977 with lyrics below LYRICS: Now here you go again You say you want your freedom Well, who am I to keep you down? It's only right that you should Play the way you feel it But listen carefully to the sound Of your loneliness Like a heartbeat drives you mad In the stillness of remembering What you had And what you lost... And what you had... And what you lost (Oooooh) Oh, thunder only happens when it's raining Players only love you when they're playing Say, women...they will come and they will go When the rain washes you clean, you'll know You'll know Now here I go again, I see, the crystal visions I keep my visions to myself It's only me Who wants to wrap around your dreams and Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life? "Dreams" is a song written by singer Stevie Nicks, for the group Fleetwood Mac's 1977 album, Rumours. It is the only U.S. No.1 hit for the group where it sold over a million copies, and remains one of their best known songs. Finally - a much better version (quality) of the Rosebud documentary is available! And again I just had to upload this great tune where Lindsey Buckingham is playing the hell out of his guitar! Recorded live at the University of California, Santa Barbara Football Field, May 2, 1976. The version of the classic song is just pure delight... It's raw, fierce and powerful - all at the same time. Lindsey Buckingham plays that guitar in a style and a way few people have done after him; this is live and he totally owns this song, and the solo fits the song so well! Personally I think the band were at the top at this time. This song (in this version) is one of my favorite songs ever - name any band!!!

Part 2 of 2. Taken from Australian TV December 2009
Read my blog post here: http://tinyurl.com/2dtbu3b It would have been easy, even in 1997, to discount Fleetwood Mac's Phoenix-from-the-flame resurrection. Yes, it had been, at that point, almost 7 years since their last quasi-hit album, the Top 20 Buckingham-less BEHIND THE MASK, and a full decade since their last Top 10 (1987s TANGO IN THE NIGHT). Their last #1, MIRAGE, was in 1982. But the Mac's legend supersedes such frivolities. One should never underestimate the power of hundreds of millions of sold albums, or a Rock n Roll soap opera nonpareil. Fleetwood Mac might have been dinosaurs by the late 1990s, but they were far from extinct. Of course, with all the turmoil that imploded the band, it was a pipe dream for any ardent Mac fan to ever hope that the classic line-up -- ob...

Mick Fleetwood interviewed for the 2015 Australian tour
The Jim Ruddy Collection @ TexasArchive.org This footage, taped for the CBS-affiliate KDFW, contains a short, unedited interview with Stevie Nicks, the frontwoman for the British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac. Taped just after the band's arrival in Dallas for a concert at the Reunion Arena in August 1980, the interview focuses on Fleetwood Mac's decision to return to touring, the importance of playing live shows, and chemistry amongst members of the band. Nicks, who spent several of her childhood years in Texas, also briefly mentions the band's preference for playing in the Lone Star State. (Note: This interview occurred earlier than the stated description, based on what the interviewer asked Stevie, so it's probably closer to 1978.)

Backstage interview with Lindsey Buckingham
I will try when he's gone
And I wont reminice
About the kisses I'll miss
I'll move on
I don't like
What you are
Cause you tell me I'm wrong
When I'm just being strong
It's so far
And I was everything back then
I wasn't sure how this should end
Now I won't
Fall apart
I'll just wither away
Cause I know that he'll stay
In my heart
Now I know who was wrong
But I almost forgot all the things that I'm not
Though this took so very long
And I was everything back then
I wasn't sure how this should end
And I'll say no more
And I speak what is true
There were pleasantries spoken
Many promises broken
Attentions they grew
And now I've had my fill
And I'll dance on the street
Just to prove that I'm great
