Lemonade (Mucky Pup album)

Lemonade is the fourth studio album by Mucky Pup. It was released in 1992, and the last record for Century Media Records. This album saw the band's style change by moving away from their comedic humorous songs into a more aggressive but yet melodic sound. Since Dan Nastasi and Christopher "Junior" LaPlante left the band, John Milnes moved to guitar, Kevin Powers becoming the band's drummer while adding Piano & Synthesizer, It also saw the return of Marc DeBacker on bass and Glen Cummings from Scatterbrain became a co-producer for the band while playing guitar on two of their songs as well.

Lemonade (Alexandra Stan song)

"Lemonade" is a song by Romanian singer Alexandra Stan. The song was released on 12 June 2012 as the lead single from Clichè (Hush Hush), the re-issue of her debut album Saxobeats. It was written by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi. The title has entered in the Romanian Top 100, and peak at number 12. It also charted in Japan, where it peaked at number 27 in their chart. In November 2012 it also certified gold by the Federation of the Italian Music Industry, for sales exceeding 15,000 units in Italy.

Music video

The music video was released on 4 June 2012. It has received over 69 million views on YouTube.

The music video starts with Stan entering her kitchen in a red and white stripped dress. She sings while she makes a pitcher of lemonade. In the next scene, she is walking down the street, smiling into the camera. Alexandra is then seen singing in front of a red car, flirting with a man. The policemen, from her previous videos, are seen going into a store. The video switches from colour to sepia. It stays black & white to the end of the video as Stan is singing and dancing at a block party.

Lemonade (band)

Lemonade is an alternative dance band from San Francisco, California, now residing in Brooklyn, New York. The band's music consists of an eccentric amalgam of electronic, world, and rock music influences, ranging from dubstep to caribbean. The band was formed in 2005 and is made up of vocalist Callan Clendenin, bassist Ben Steidel, and drummer Alex Pasternak. The group gained notoriety after moving to New York and releasing its self-titled debut in 2008, and Pure Moods EP in 2010. Several tracks from each of their releases have also been remixed by well-known artists like Delorean, Gold Panda, and Twin Shadow.

History

The band formed in 2005, in San Francisco, after the three were booked to play a live show two weeks after forming, having previously written no material. The first set, though mostly improvised, was well received, motivating the band to continue making music. With band members influenced by a variety of musical forms, the band soon found appeal among a diverse array of genres, allowing them to play a wide range of venues throughout the Bay Area, in various settings. Upon moving to Brooklyn, the band found wider success after releasing its debut and playing shows with well-known acts like Delorean and Tanlines. They are scheduled to perform at the American Music Awards of 2014 during the pre-show on November 23rd 2014

Prophecy

Prophecy involves a process in which one or more messages allegedly communicated to a prophet are then communicated to other people. Such messages typically involve divine inspiration, interpretation, or revelation of events to come (compare divine knowledge). Historically, clairvoyance has been used as an adjunct to prophecy.

Etymology

The English word "prophecy" (noun) in the sense of "function of a prophet" appeared in Europe from about 1225, from Old French profecie (12th century), and from Late Latin prophetia, Greek prophetia "gift of interpreting the will of God", from Greek prophetes (see prophet). The related meaning "thing spoken or written by a prophet" is from c. 1300, while the verb "to prophesy" is recorded by 1377.

The word prophecy comes from the Greek verb, προφημι (prophemi), which means “to say beforehand, foretell”; it is a combination of the Greek words, προ and φημι. The Greek prefix προ also means "before," "in front of," so etymologically προφημι means to speak in front of, as a spokesperson.

Implode (album)

Implode is an album by industrial group Front Line Assembly. The album was released through Metropolis on April 26, 1999.

Release

Implode was released on digipak CD and via Zoth Ommog on gatefold cover sleeve double vinyl with limited circulation of 2,000. The track "Torched" is featured in the 2002 horror film Resident Evil but not on the accompanying soundtrack.

Singles

Implode was followed by the release of two singles. The single Prophecy includes the original version, a radio edit and a remix of the title track. "Unknown Dreams" is also featured as radio edit. "Paralysis" is a non-album track. The second single, Fatalist, was released in different versions in Europe and North America. German label Zoth Ommog issued a four-track single that contains remixes of "Fatalist" (Rhys Fulber), "Retribution" (Front 242) and "Prophecy" (Haujobb) as well as non-album track "Deception". The six track version was released for the Scandinavian countries through Energy and in the United States through Metropolis. Additional tracks on this version are two remixes of "Fatalist" by Aqualite and Tribal Techno.

Argus Filch

Argus Filch is the caretaker of Hogwarts. While he is not an evil character, he is ill-tempered, which makes him unpopular with the student body, and occasionally with other staff. His knowledge of the secrets and short-cuts of the castle is almost unparalleled, except perhaps by the Weasley twins, Voldemort himself, Harry, Ron and Hermione, and other users of the Marauder's Map. He tends to favour almost sadistically harsh punishments, leading to his alliance with Dolores Umbridge. He has an obsessive dislike of mud, animate toys, and all other things that might interfere with his creation of an immaculately clean and orderly Hogwarts. He is also portrayed as having a constant antagonism towards Peeves the poltergeist and often tells Dumbledore that Peeves should be thrown out of Hogwarts. He also likes to wander Hogwarts corridors at night, presumably in the hope of catching a student out of bed.
