Don Lemon (born March 1, 1966) is an American journalist and television news anchor. He is based in New York and currently hosts CNN Tonight with Don Lemon.
Lemon was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1966. Lemon was educated at Baker High School, a public high school in the small city of Baker. He majored in broadcast journalism at Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York, and attended Louisiana State University. While in college, Lemon worked as a news assistant at WNYW in New York City.
In his early career, Lemon reported as a weekend anchor for WBRC in Birmingham, Alabama, and WCAU in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; anchor and investigative reporter for KTVI St. Louis; and anchor for WBRC Birmingham, Alabama.
Lemon reported for NBC News' New York City operations, including working as a correspondent for Today and NBC Nightly News and an anchor on Weekend Today and MSNBC. In 2003, he began at NBC O&O station WMAQ-TV (5 in Chicago), and was a reporter as well as local news co-anchor.
CNN Tonight is an American late evening newscast hosted by Don Lemon on CNN. The show is also broadcast around the world by CNN International.
The show airs from Monday through Thursday at 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm ET and on some nights with a two-hour edition to Midnight ET, and Friday at 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm ET.
A program of the same name aired on CNN in the spring of 1985, as a replacement for Sandi Freeman until Larry King Live premiered. Another program of the same name debuted in 2001 with Bill Hemmer as anchor, but it was cancelled the same year. This edition was hosted by John Roberts, which debuted on November 16, 2009, as an interim replacement for Lou Dobbs Tonight following Lou Dobbs' resignation from the network on November 11, 2009. The program featured reporters who filed reports for Lou Dobbs' program, including Dana Bash, Candy Crowley, and Kitty Pilgrim.
It was discontinued after January 15, 2010, due to a scheduling shift which occurred the following Monday, extending Rick Sanchez's hour during the CNN Newsroom block into a two hour program known as Rick's List, which pushed The Situation Room up an hour into Lou Dobbs' former timeslot.
TMZ is a celebrity news website that debuted on November 8, 2005. It was a collaboration between AOL and Telepictures Productions, a division of Warner Bros., until Time Warner divested AOL in 2009. The name TMZ stands for thirty-mile zone, the historic "studio zone" within a 30-mile (50 km) radius centered at the intersection of West Beverly Boulevard and North La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.
TMZ's managing editor is Harvey Levin, a lawyer-turned-journalist who was previously a legal expert for the Los Angeles television station KCBS-TV. The site claims that it does not pay for stories or interviews; however, Levin has admitted that TMZ does "sometimes pay sources for leads on stories". Levin has stated that "everything is researched and vetted for accuracy." A companion television series, TMZ on TV, debuted on September 10, 2007.
Seven months prior to the official launch of TMZ, America Online (AOL) had hinted that it was planning to launch a Hollywood and entertainment-centric news site that would be produced in conjunction with Telepictures Productions and had shown interest in launching a website featuring a focus mainly on celebrities. At the time of the launch, AOL confirmed that the site would primarily feature and consist of Hollywood gossip, including interviews, photos and video footage of celebrities and information pertaining to industry news on movies, television shows, etc. The site was described as "an effort to further feed the current American obsession with celebrities". Mike Shields of MediaWeek.com wrote, "the site also boasts of an expansive collection of archived star photos and videos", allowing fans to "trace changing hairlines and waistlines of their favorites performers over the years".
The lemon (Citrus × limon) is a species of small evergreen tree native to Asia.
The tree's ellipsoidal yellow fruit is used for culinary and non-culinary purposes throughout the world, primarily for its juice, which has both culinary and cleaning uses. The pulp and rind (zest) are also used in cooking and baking. The juice of the lemon is about 5% to 6% citric acid, which gives a sour taste. The distinctive sour taste of lemon juice makes it a key ingredient in drinks and foods such as lemonade and lemon meringue pie.
The origin of the lemon is unknown, though lemons are thought to have first grown in Assam (a region in northeast India), northern Burma or China. A study of the genetic origin of the lemon reported it to be hybrid between bitter orange (sour orange) and citron.
Lemons entered Europe near southern Italy no later than the first century AD, during the time of Ancient Rome. However, they were not widely cultivated. They were later introduced to Persia and then to Iraq and Egypt around 700 AD. The lemon was first recorded in literature in a 10th-century Arabic treatise on farming, and was also used as an ornamental plant in early Islamic gardens. It was distributed widely throughout the Arab world and the Mediterranean region between 1000 and 1150.
The Cable News Network (CNN) is an American basic cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner. The 24-hour cable news channel was founded in 1980 by American media proprietor Ted Turner. Upon its launch, CNN was the first television channel to provide 24-hour news coverage, and was the first all-news television channel in the United States.
While the news channel has numerous affiliates, CNN primarily broadcasts from the Time Warner Center in New York City, and studios in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, its headquarters at the CNN Center in Atlanta is only used for weekend programming. CNN is sometimes referred to as CNN/U.S. to distinguish the American channel from its international sister network, CNN International. As of August 2010, CNN is available in over 100 million U.S. households. Broadcast coverage of the U.S. channel extends to over 890,000 American hotel rooms, as well as carriage on cable and satellite providers throughout Canada. Globally, CNN programming airs through CNN International, which can be seen by viewers in over 212 countries and territories.

Montana election result: Republican Greg Gianforte is leading
CNN’s Don Lemon clearly wasn’t open to any other explanations than blaming Donald Trump for Republican congressional candidate Greg Gianforte‘s attack on Ben Jacobs on Wednesday. Lemon lambasted guest Paris Dennard who pushed back against this explanation. The CNN anchor turned to Dennard at the end of his program for his take on the Gianforte incident in Bozeman, Montana. The Republican guest started his answer by citing the movie “Election,” but Lemon interrupted him. “You don’t think it’s because of a guy who’s in office now has said very horrible things about reporters, and has said that the reporters are the enemy of the American people?,” Lemon said. Dennard tried to complete the answer and replied, “No, Don,” but the host continued his rant. “That has nothing to do with anything...

Sarah and her fellow third-years at Art Institute dropped in for cafe au lait, and I met them and we talked about how difficult it is to make your business = art, as Warhol said, while waiting for a meeting that was scheduled for 2:30 pm. This interview happened after 4:15 pm so I definitely got a lot of LEMON plans/ideas underway during those two+ hours, in which I ran through 3 free wireless passcodes.
