Zürich or Zurich (/ˈzjʊərɪk/, Swiss Standard German Zürich [ˈtsʏrɪç], German Standard German Zürich [ˈtsyːʁɪç], Swiss German: Züri [ˈtsyɾi], French: Zurich [zyʁik], Italian: Zurigo [dzuˈriːɡo], Romansh: Turitg [tuˈritɕ]) is the largest city in Switzerland and the capital of the canton of Zürich. It is located in north-central Switzerland at the northwestern tip of Lake Zürich. The municipality has approximately 400,028 inhabitants, the urban agglomeration 1.315 million, and the Zurich metropolitan area 1.83 million. Zürich is a hub for railways, roads, and air traffic. Both Zürich Airport and railway station are the largest and busiest in the country.
Permanently settled for around 2000 years, Zürich has a history that goes back to its founding by the Romans, who, in 15 BC, called it Turicum. However, early settlements have been found dating back more than 6400 years ago. During the Middle Ages Zürich gained the independent and privileged status of imperial immediacy and, in 1519, became a primary centre of the Protestant Reformation in Europe under the leadership of Ulrich Zwingli.
Switzerland (/ˈswɪtsərlənd/), officially the Swiss Confederation (Latin: Confoederatio Helvetica, hence its abbreviation CH), is a country in Europe. While still named the "Swiss Confederation" for historical reasons, modern Switzerland is a federal directorial republic consisting of 26 cantons, with Bern as the seat of the federal authorities, called Bundesstadt ("federal city"). The country is situated in Western and Central Europe, and is bordered by Italy to the south, France to the west, Germany to the north, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east. Switzerland is a landlocked country geographically divided between the Alps, the Swiss Plateau and the Jura, spanning an area of 41,285 km2 (15,940 sq mi). While the Alps occupy the greater part of the territory, the Swiss population of approximately 8 million people is concentrated mostly on the Plateau, where the largest cities are to be found: among them are the two global and economic centres, Zürich and Geneva.
The establishment of the Swiss Confederation is traditionally dated to 1 August 1291, which is celebrated annually as the Swiss National Day. The country has a long history of armed neutrality—it has not been in a state of war internationally since 1815—and did not join the United Nations until 2002. Nevertheless, it pursues an active foreign policy and is frequently involved in peace-building processes around the world. In addition to being the birthplace of the Red Cross, Switzerland is home to numerous international organizations, including the second largest UN office. On the European level, it is a founding member of the European Free Trade Association, but notably it is not part of the European Union, nor the European Economic Area. However the country does participate in the Schengen Area and the EU's single market through a number of bilateral treaties.
An executive producer (EP) enables the making of a commercial entertainment product. The EP may be concerned with management accounting and/or with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP generally contributes to the film's budget and may or may not work on set.
In motion pictures, an executive producer oversees the filmmaking with regard to film finance. Executive producers liaise with the line producer and report to production companies and distributors.
In television, an executive producer often supervises the creative content as well as the financial aspects of a production. Some writers (for example Stephen J. Cannell and Tina Fey) have been the creator and also the producer of the same TV show. Other dual roles may include the executive director(s) starring in the show they produce, such as Full Throttle Saloon reality TV star, Jesse James Dupree. Still other shows may have more than one executive producer working on a TV show where there can be one among them who outranks the others. This position is known as the "showrunner," or operational executive producer.
A production company provides the physical basis for works in the realms of the performing arts, new media art, film, television, radio, and video.
The production company may be directly responsible for fundraising for the production or may accomplish this through a parent company, partner, or private investor. It handles budgeting, scheduling, scripting, the supply with talent and resources, the organization of staff, the production itself, post-production, distribution, and marketing.
Production companies are often either owned or under contract with a media conglomerate, film studio, entertainment company, or Motion Picture Company, who act as the production company's partner or parent company. This has become known as the "studio system". They can also be mainstream, independent (see Lucasfilms), or completely independent (see Lionsgate). In the case of TV, a TV production company would serve under a television network. Production companies can work together in co-productions.
The old town of a city or town is its historic or original core. Although the city is usually larger in its present form, many cities have redesignated this part of the city to commemorate its origins after thorough renovations. There are many places throughout the world named old town (and this is sometimes construed as a proper noun and capitalized). This is a list of some famous old towns:

Documentary about the city of Zürich (Switzerland). A presentation of MTA Switzerland Studios.
Zürich is the world’s best city to live in, with the highest quality of life, according to recent studies -- so it is also a perfect place to visit. While most people know its reputation as a modern banking center, you will be surprised to discover the historic charms of its extensive Old Town, among the largest in Switzerland, and the glamor of the modern shopping streets. Visitors can take pleasure in this great lifestyle, enjoying friendly, efficient services while exploring many fascinating sights. With just under 400,000 people in the city proper, Zurich is an ideal place to stay -- especially when you consider the main visitor attraction, which is a beautiful Old Town of cobbled lanes lined with historic buildings and numerous fine shops and restaurants. It is delightful to wand...

My top 10 places to eat in Zürich like Haus Hiltl, world's oldest vegetarian restaurant, Da Capo for its incredible juicy steaks and fine dining at some of the fanciest places in the biggest city in Switzerland. Photos & Map: http://www.reformatt.com/food-zurich Kick off your food adventure in biggest city of Switzerland by renting a bike to easily get around town. Start at the magical pool & bar Seebad Enge in the middle of lake Zürichsee. For brunch I highly recommend dropping by Haus Hiltl, the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world founded in 1898. Now, I am far from becoming vegetarian but after eating here I could easily switch to a vegetarian lifestyle for the rest of my life. The best view of the city can either be enjoyed from the Lindenhof or the rooftop of the Widder Hot...

This year’s TEDx claim “ Re-imagining everything ” gave me the chance to literally re-imagine the process of creating an animation as I was used to. That’s why I chose to paint each frame using watercolor. The water transformed each of the frames in a unique and different piece and as I didn’t want to have the full control on the texture ( and I’m NOT a painter! ) I’m pretty happy with the result! Thanks to Beatrice Bresolin I could create this interaction of dancing shapes and thanks to MIMICsound the whole piece became a funky jungle of colors! Last but not least I wanna thank Kompost for the freedom and the trust! Lesen Sie auf deutsch bitte weiter unten weiter... Zurich is Switzerland’s biggest city and worldwide known for its high quality of living (and just happens to be one of the most expensive cities worldwide too!). A picturesque old town, great shopping facilities, a large variety of cultural attractions, a beautiful lakeside and lots of green areas make a visit to Zurich a multifaceted experience. With its international airport the city is a good base to start discovering the country. Besides that, it’s a cool playground for time-lapse photography. Footage has mostly been shot for testing purposes and shows impressions of a pulsating and electrifying city in winter time. Enjoy! Zurich - Switzerland Travel Guide, Tourism, Vacation World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Zurich - Switzerland Travel Guide http://goo.gl/APpjcE Zurich labours under the misconception that it is nothing more than a sterile banking city - don't believe a word of it. True, Zurich plays home to one of the largest stock exchanges in the world and is the financial motor of Switzerland itself, but step back from the markets and share prices and you'll find an arty, trend-conscious and surprisingly vibrant city. Zurich's setting on the northern tip of Lake Zurich helps lend it an air of affluence and good living, while the Fraumünster and Grossmünster churches, which face each other across the River Limmat, hint at the rich heritage of the Old Town. In addition, Zurich offers sma...
