A Channel Nine spokesman confirmed the network was in early talks to see how the show could be revived. However, he stressed nothing has been set in stone.
"We are talking to Posie Graeme Evans about how we could tackle it," he said. "We know how much everybody loves McLeod's Daughters, it's an important part of our heritage. Nothing is commissioned."

The show first aired in 2001 and made household names of the likes of Bridie Carter, Jessica Napier, Brett Tucker and Myles Pollard as well as Banas and Mackinnon.

During its seven year run it hosted a who's who of Australian television including Aaron Jeffrey, Sonia Todd, Luke Jacobs and Matt Passmore before he made his move to the US to star in The Glades.
