Bernard Freeman (born March 19, 1973), professionally known by his stage name Bun B, is an American rapper and was one half of the southern rap duo UGK (UnderGround Kingz). He is also a guest lecturer at Rice University, located in Houston, Texas. He released his third official solo album, Trill OG, on August 3, 2010, which received a 5 Mic "Classic" rating in The Source magazine - the first album in over five years to receive the honor.
In the late 1980s, Pimp C started the rap duo UGK. He first released a demo tape titled "Underground King" which didn't feature Bun B on the track. Instead, it featured Pimp C's friend Mitchell Queen. Bun B and friend Jalon Jackson had their own group called P.A. Militia. Both groups joined forces and formed the group 4 Black Ministers. Queen and Jackson later left the group leaving Pimp C and Bun B so they decided to revert to UGK. The demo Pimp C recorded with Mitchell Queen, Underground King, caught the attention of an independent label in Houston called Bigtyme Records. They then released an extended play titled The Southern Way. The release of this record caught the attention of Jive Records. While recording their debut album, Too Hard to Swallow, many of the songs had content too explicit for the album, so Bigtyme Records released an extended play titled Banned before the album was released, including all the songs that were too explicit for Too Hard to Swallow. The song "Pocket Full of Stones" became the first UGK song to get major airplay throughout the United States. Their second album, Super Tight..., followed in 1994. Their third album, Ridin' Dirty, peaked at number 2 on the R&B Charts in 1996, and at number 15 on the Billboard 200. After releasing their fourth studio album, Dirty Money, Pimp C got sentenced to jail.

Chad Lamont Butler (December 29, 1973 – December 4, 2007), better known by his stage name Pimp C, was an American hip hop recording artist and producer. He was best known for his work with Bun B as a founding member of the Underground Kingz (UGK).
Butler formed the rap group Underground Kingz (colloquially known as UGK) with best friend Bernard "Bun B" Freeman in 1987 in Port Arthur, Texas. In 1991, Jive Records signed UGK and released Too Hard to Swallow, followed by the critically acclaimed Super Tight. The group's third album, Ridin' Dirty, reached #2 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and their momentum was continued with features on the popular singles "Big Pimpin'" with Jay-Z and "Sippin' on Some Syrup" by Three 6 Mafia. UGK's fourth album, Dirty Money, was distributed in 2001. Due to Butler's incarceration in 2002, UGK would not release another studio album until 2007's Underground Kingz, which included the hit "International Player's Anthem (I Choose You)", featuring Outkast.
Draped Up is the first single from Bun B's solo debut album Trill. it samples elements from the song "Pimp Tha Pen" by DJ Screw. It features an intro from Lil' Keke. The official remix is on the album and it features Lil' Keke, Slim Thug, Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Aztek, Lil Flip, & Z-Ro. The music video features cameo appearances by Chingy, Devin The Dude, Kanye West, Scarface, Spice 1, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Lil' Keke & Birdman. The song topped out at #45 on the U.S. Hot R&B Chart.
Dieuson Octave, (born June 11, 1997), better known by his stage name Kodak Black, is an American rapper from Pompano Beach, Florida, United States.
Octave was born in Pompano Beach, Florida. His parents were immigrants from Haiti. Octave was raised by his mother in Golden Acres, a public housing project in Pompano Beach.
Octave began rapping with his cousins at age 12 while in elementary school. He then became affiliated with the local rap group "Brutal Youngnz", and then with the "Kolyons".
Octave was placed into a juvenile detention center three times in one year, and then placed on probation.
In 2014, Octave was working towards his high school diploma.
In 2015, Canadian rapper Drake posted a video of himself dancing to one of Octave's songs.
In October 2015, Octave was arrested in Pompano Beach and charged with robbery, battery, false imprisonment of a child, and possession of cannabis. He was released from custody, and shortly after signed a deal with Atlantic Records.

The Trillest OG of them all, Bun B, swung by Sway in the Morning and opened up about his new album The Epilogue, schooled us on his views of rap, and caps it all off with a genuine freestyle off the top of his head. The Epilogue hit stores today, containing recording sessions that are over 3 years old, and features from the late-great Pimp C, Raekwon, Royce Da 5'9, Redman and more. "It's so lyrical," Sway comments, "these are songs that you typically might not expect southern artists to collab with, but now is the right time." Along with being a natural leader and teacher, Mr. B also lectures a class at Rice University in Houston. Serving as a sneak peak into his class, Bun says... "A lot that we see in rap music, is being described in hip hop, everything that is rap music is not hip h...

Sway usually does the elaborate introductions, but today, Bun B started this Houston live broadcast interview by introducing our very own Sway Calloway. Not only did Bun B drop gems - per usual - but these two reminisced on the time Bun pressed play on Jeezy's music for the very time for Sway. And if you follow Bun, you'll notice he's a professor at a private college. While hanging out with us on Sway in the Morning, he addressed these Political times to us and breaks down how he would share and challenge his students. Out of all of his ventures and accomplishments, B-U-N-B wanted to be known as the greatest rapper alive. "But it's not about being the best lyricist or the best rapper." This Houston legend tells us, "I wanna be known as the rapper that contributed most to the cultur...
We had the pleasure of sitting down with the one and only Bun B during SXSW. When not bringing his lyrical awesomeness to millions of fans, Bun B has been sharing his insight with the lucky students at Rice University. As if being the foundation of southern hip hop wasn't enough, Bun B is co-teaching a course on hip hop and religion. We sat down to get an education from Professor Trill himself. visit http://klru.org for more videos and awesomeness
The news of Donald Trump winning the 2016 Presidential election, making him the 45th President of the United States, has come as a huge shock to majority of the nation. While there have already been countless protests throughout the country in the last 24 hours, many are trying to research into how the business tycoon was able to beat out Hillary Clinton, an experienced politician. Bun B is one of the only hip hop artists who took the time to attend rallies for the controversial Republican candidate during the primaries, as he was a field reporter for VICE. The Southern rapper not only traveled the country, seeing all of the different crowds supporting Trump, but he learned a lot about his domination of the election. Recently stopping by 97.9 The Box for an interview, Bun shared some of t...

And who can fuck wit us? Better bring your mic game

Big dough, big flow, big fight game
Take you out the zone, put you in the right frame
Take you out your home, middle of the night mayne
Wrap you up tight, put yo' ass on the night train
That's right mayne, and it's the right time
In the right game to get rich like a white mayne
Tryna see how much paper that I might gain
While I still keep it trill in what I write, mayne
Yeah, so let's see who we could trouble most
