The Fray is an American rock band from Denver, Colorado. Formed in 2002 by schoolmates Isaac Slade and Joe King, they achieved success with the release of their debut album, How to Save a Life in 2005, which was certified double platinum by the RIAA and platinum in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK. The Fray achieved national success with their first single, "Over My Head (Cable Car)", which became a top ten hit in the United States. The release of their second single, "How to Save a Life", brought the band worldwide fame. The song charted in the top three of the Billboard Hot 100 and was a top 5 single in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
The group's self-titled, second album, released in 2009, debuted at number-one on the Billboard charts and was certified gold in the United States, Australia and Canada. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2010. While both the albums were commercially successful, critical reception was mixed. The Fray was ranked No. 84 on Billboard's "Artists of the Decade" list. Their third album Scars & Stories, released in 2012, achieved moderate commercial success; debuting and peaking at number four on the Billboard 200. The album again received mixed reviews from critics. The band's fourth and latest album, Helios, was released in February 2014.

"How to Save a Life" is a song by American pop rock band The Fray. It was released as the second single from their debut studio album of the same name on August 28, 2005. The song is one of the band's most popular airplay songs and peaked in the top 3 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States. It became the joint seventh longest charting single on the Billboard Hot 100, tying with Santana's "Smooth" (1999), at 58 consecutive weeks. The song has been certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA, and has sold 4.7 million downloads as of January 2015, the fourth best-selling rock song in digital history.
It is the band's highest-charting song to date, topping the Adult Top 40 chart for 15 consecutive weeks and topping the Canadian Airplay Chart. It was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 2007, but lost to "Dani California" by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
According to lead singer Isaac Slade, the song was composed and influenced by his experience while working as a mentor at a camp for troubled teens:
"You Found Me" is the first single by Denver-based piano rock band The Fray from their eponymous, second studio album. Live performances of the song from concerts in Europe surfaced on YouTube in late 2007, when the song was titled "Amistad". The band began streaming the song on their website on November 21, 2008. The single was digitally released in the U.S., Canadian, UK, Australian and French iTunes Stores and had a physical release later on.
The song became the group's third single to sell 2 million downloads in the United States, after "How to Save a Life" and "Over My Head (Cable Car)".
It has sold 3.6 million copies in the US as of February 2015, making it one of the most downloaded rock songs. The single was certified double platinum by the RIAA and the ARIA in 2009.
The song was nominated for a Choice Music: Rock Track award at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards.
The song was ranked No. 13 on the Hot 100 Songs of 2009 list and No. 36 on Billboard's Best Adult Pop Songs of the Decade list. It was also ranked No. 42 on Billboard's Top 100 Digital Tracks of the Decade list and No. 61 on the ARIA's list of the Top 100 Tracks of the Decade.
My Head was a grunge/alternative rock power trio from Los Angeles, California, United States formed in 1993 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Adam Siegel and drummer Greg Saenz. Due to its member's past on Excel, My Head's sound was influenced by early 1980s Crossover Thrash music, but also by the growing grunge movement impulsed by bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Even after its dissolution My Head recorded three tracks for two different Mike Muir's releases: Pneumonia (EP later included on the album Mas Borracho by Infectious Grooves) and Friends & Family, Vol. 2 by Suicidal Tendencies.

We helped our friend Justin create a video for his entry into the Colgate Fresh Max Karaoke Contest, who are “looking for the next Fresh sound.” (You didn’t see that one coming, did you?) The grand prize however is an all-expenses paid trip to New York to record with a Grammy-award winning producer, shoot a video, as well as a live performance. Contestants must choose one song from fifteen available songs. No vocal enhancements are permitted, so we shot everything in one continuous take using a clip-on mic and the karaoke track playing in the background. The top five finalists will be chosen by votes from Myspace users and the winner will be chosen by a celebrity judging panel. My documentary on the New York based improv group Stray. Made for the NYU SCPS DV Project Class, Spring 2010. The four improvisors each did a fictional interview about four events that I provided for them: A warm-up game, a rehearsal, a show, and a final meeting. Then once each scenario was built through the interviews, we moved to the stage, and they performed each scene that they had described, building off of the improvisations each member had made. Then I did a short interview with the improvisors as their real selves, and cut the whole thing together. directed and edited by: Ian Fraser starring: Jill Farris Wendy Herlich Kristy Kershaw Stefan Schick Second Camera: Karina Mangu-Ward Boom Operator: Jordan Santora Music: Ian and Mariah Fraser

Uncertainty is killing me
And I'm certainly not asleep
Maybe I've gone far to deep
Maybe I'm just far to weak
Ands that's the last place
I want to be the last place
And there is so much we don't know
So we love and we hope that it holds
Thousands were lost maybe more
The question remains, what is this for?
Maybe it came unexpected
Maybe I'm left unprotected
And that's the last place
I want to be the last place
And there is so much we don't know
So we love and we hope that it holds
And either we say or we show
So I'm going to fight for my own
I'm holding on until the last
I'm holding on until there's nothing left
I'm holding on until the last
I'm holding on until there's nothing left
