Manual may refer to:
A manual transmission, also known as a manual gearbox, stick shift, n-speed manual (where n is its number of forward gear ratios), standard, M/T or in colloquial U.S. English, a stick (for vehicles with hand-lever shifters), is a type of transmission used in motor vehicle applications. It uses a driver-operated clutch engaged and disengaged by a foot pedal (automobile) or hand lever (motorcycle), for regulating torque transfer from the engine to the transmission; and a gear selector operated by hand (automobile) or by foot (motorcycle).
A conventional, 5- or 6-speed manual transmission is often the standard equipment in a base-model car; other options include automated transmissions such as an automatic transmission (often a manumatic), a semi-automatic transmission, or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The number of forward gear ratios is often expressed for automatic transmissions as well (e.g., 9-speed automatic).
Manual transmissions often feature a driver-operated clutch and a movable gear stick. Most automobile manual transmissions allow the driver to select any forward gear ratio ("gear") at any time, but some, such as those commonly mounted on motorcycles and some types of racing cars, only allow the driver to select the next-higher or next-lower gear. This type of transmission is sometimes called a sequential manual transmission.

Should you put the car in neutral when you come to a stop? How can you prevent rolling back on a hill? How do you drive a manual on a steep hill? How to hill start. Which is better: Manual or Automatic transmission? This debate has been present for the last seven decades. Manual and automatic transmissions are completely different technologies, which use different configurations and principles. One is based on a simple gear pair, while the other is based on a planetary gear set. One uses a torque convertor, while the other uses a clutch pack. We will do a logical comparison of these technologies in this video. We thank our patrons for making LE's educational service sustainable. Have you ever thought of riding your bike with no front wheel, probably not because it wouldn't work. And we 110% don't suggest that you ever try and ride your bike with out a front wheel. Some how the crazy Big Boy convinced the crew to have a manual competition on there bikes where as soon as they lifted up for the manual the front wheel would roll away. You would be in a manual with no front wheel and who ever can hold it for the longest time would win. The dangerous part about this challenge is that if you go forward you no longer have a front wheel and its an instant flip over the bars. This contest turned out to be a ton of fun and I loved watching every minute of it so I hope you guys enjoy this one!
I decided to teach The Big Boy how to manual a BMX bike! Everyone knows Big Boy isn't great at manual anything! Cars, Bikes, it doesn't matter he just doesn't get it! I took the time to attempt to teach him to manual his BMX and after seeing his first attempt I knew I had my work cut out for me! Big Boy messed up step 1 by forgetting the most important thing you need when riding, your helmet! After finding an old racing helmet in the dumpster we went step by step to turn him into a manual master!I made a deal with Big Boy if he can make it across the back of the bike shop and around the corner then i would by him the biggest slurpee WaWa had to offer! against all odds he did it! We then did some rally in his non- manual WRX to get the Slurpee! Follow me @SCOTTYCRANMER and add me on snapcha...
