Fifteen police officers were injured when violent protesters clashed with police on Thursday in the streets of Hamburg, Germany, where this week's G-20 summit is set to take place, police said. In addition, a police officer and one official were attacked near a fish market in the St. Pauli neighborhood, Hamburg police said in a press release. Emergency personnel and their vehicles were also attacked, and the identities of the assailants are not known, police said.
Bill Cosby will be re-tried in Norristown, Pennsylvania, for alleged sexual assault beginning on Nov. 6, according to paperwork obtained by ABC News. Judge Steven O'Neill, who oversaw the first trial, also ordered attorneys to submit jury selection questions and instructions no later than Oct. 30. Pre-trial conference and any other necessary hearings will be ordered separately.

Walter Shaub, director of the United States Office of Government Ethics (OGE), is expected to resign from his post later this month, according to a post on his personal Twitter account. Shaub also announced that he will be joining the Campaign Legal Center (CLC) as senior director of ethics on July 19. Shaub was appointed to a five-year term as the director of OGE in 2013 by then-President Barack Obama.
Firefighters went beyond the call of duty to help a curious 6-year-old boy after he got stuck in a tight spot. "I went to pick him up from daycare and was in my car when one of the teachers ran out and said, 'Everything is fine, but Gio got one of his hands stuck in a desk,'" Leah Aponte told ABC News. On Wednesday, President Donald Trump set off on the second foreign trip of his presidency, during which he will attend the G-20 summit in Germany. In Warsaw before the summit, Trump met with President Andrzej Duda of Poland, a key NATO ally, and plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday on the sidelines of the summit. According to the G-20’s website, the group consists of 19 countries and the European Union, which meet annually to discuss international financial and economic issues.

A smart home device alerted authorities to an alleged assault at a residence in New Mexico earlier this week. Eduardo Barros was house-sitting with his girlfriend and her daughter Sunday night at a residence in Tijeras, some 15 miles east of Albuquerque. The couple got into an argument and the altercation became physical, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff Department's spokesperson, Deputy Felicia Romero.

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake rocked a small town in western Montana shortly after midnight on Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake's epicenter was about 6 miles southeast of Lincoln, which has a population of about 1,100, according to the USGS. It was the state's largest recorded earthquake in more than 10 years.
