The Fleshtones "More Than Skin Deep" 1997 + The Fleshtones "Up-Front" EP 1980

Once more The Fleshtones shake the floor with 14 Stabs Through Your Sinful Soul, including brand new classics 'I'm Not A Sissy', 'My Love Machine', and Europe-only bonus track 'Hand For The Band'. "More Than Skin Deep": an intravenous explosion of Rock'n'Roll Garage, the best since "Roman Gods", The Z-Man & the 'Tones are back with a vengeance, they wanna make some money goddammit!!!... but still... they can't forget nor detach from their roots & to prove that, they bring us a pure fuel-jewel destined to mark history &, once more show us they don't fear the years. - By Peter Zaremba
Twist, Shake, Rock'n'Roll … They Do It All!With song titles like "Blow Job" and "God Damn It", it's apparent that this record was not destined for widespread airplay. One listen to the opening track "I'm Not A Sissy" and you know that's a GOOD thing.
Cheesy keyboards, harmony vocals that don't quite align (but work anyway) and determined rhythm guitar frame the earnest vocals of Peter Zaremba, and if there were a better way to indoctrinate a newcomer to the beauty that is "garage", please tell me. For alongside The Skeletons and the late, lamented Del Lords, the Fleshtones stand tall among the best American rock bands to cruise the aural turnpike. As the eloquently state in their liner notes, "no LA-type session cats have been flown in to play the Fleshtones instruments for them on this recording". Amen, brothers!
There's nothing complex about "Laugh It Off" or "Anywhere You Go" or the eloquently raucous highlight "God Damn It" - it's three chord rock and roll sung with passion and fire, the key elements missing from most of the crap that passes for music on your radio. Assuming you've had that life-changing moment, can you remember that spine-tingling body vibe that made you grab your air guitar or simply dance like a person possessed? Do you remember rock and roll? Well these Fleshtones do, and they've taken it upon themselves to document that chill, record after record, as undesignated Ambassadors of the art form.
Drummer Bill Milhizer and guitarist Keith Streng are the other two-thirds of the current nucleus (Streng and Zaremba share the workload of the songwriting) and fellow believers in the Church of Turn It Up. There's fourteen tracks here and you're in and out in just over half an hour. That's fine - it will give you a chance to play the whole damned thing again, as I guarantee you'll do many, many times. Play it loud and open the windows - by track three there will be a party at your house. Oh yeah - "Blow Job" is an instrumental. But it does feature oral sax. REVIEW: Bill Holmestrax:

"Up-Front" EP 1980

Up-Front's five-song menu includes a fake surf instrumental and a jumped-up account of the Stones' "Play With Fire." Zaremba's humorously tough approach comes through loud and clear, but the recording's cleanness borders on aridity. - from trouser pressTime has always stood still for the Fleshtones. Old- fashioned in sound when they began plying their "super- rock" trade in New York's skankiest night clubs in 1976, the Queens group's determined mediums — singer Peter Zaremba, guitarist Keith Streng and drummer Bill Milhizer — have never stopped channeling the spirit of every great rock'n'roll party band that ever stepped to it, from the Coasters to the Kingsmen, the Raiders to the Kinks. Decades down the pike, they're still going strong, making great entrances and stylish exits and pouring it all out in uplifting sets of smart and sassy uptight bliss in between. Amazingly, Streng and Zaremba's aged-in-the-studio songwriting hasn't lost its colorful zest, which means that the group's recent albums are just as likely to prove wide- eyed and wonderful as their first blasts of serious fun. Somewhere along the way, self-conscious re-creation became subconscious reality for the Fleshtones, which makes them something of a perpetual motion machine. The Fleshtones:

The Fabulous Revtunes "Surfin' To The Max!" 1997

"Hi Ryp, It's Surfin To The Max by the Fabulous Revtunes. As surf albums go, it's not bad - just lacking in originality. Still, it's worth a listen. I actually bought it on the strength of the album cover. It looks cheesy as hell now, but ten years ago it was awesome!! Cheers" - RussMinneapolis' The Revtunes (aka Rev-Tunes) have finally issued all the archival goods from their vaults. There's lots of ska rhythms and beats, eighties pop ethics, and surf here to take you to places not very trad that are nonetheless very fun and satisfying. the production is too boomy, but your EQ can handle that, except for tracks 14-17, which are mono with almost no midrange, leaving the guitars out in the cold. For all of its aural limitations, this is nonetheless a fine example of eighties surf the way it was. - Phil Dirt - Reverb Central

Southern Culture on the Skids "For Lovers Only" 1992 + "Come & Get It" 1992 - 7"/45rpm + "Santo! Sings" 1992 - EP

If you like surf music and a taste of irony, slap your toupee on, wrestle that bear, and belly up to the bar! The lyrics are witty, the guitar work gritty, and the groove pithy! I don't know a person who hasn't heard the album and loved it. It is just downright fun and well worth the coin!North Carolina trio Southern Culture on the Skids has created an instantly-addictive high-octane mix of raucous rockabilly, R&B, surf, and punk influences that is unique and wildly exciting. Bracketed by the swinging, two-part "For Lovers Only," singer-guitarist Rick Miller's knowing, sly lyrics examine the subtleties of rural Southern culture, including such unapologetic anthems as "Biscuit Eater," the delirious "Barnyard Ballbuster," and "Daddy Was A Preacher But Mama Was A Go-Go Girl." In less skillful hands, these lyrical preoccupations might seem like heavy-handed satire or mean-spirited attacks. But Miller, bassist/organist Mary Huff, and drummer David Hartman obviously know and respect the region and its people. The songs are humorous celebrations of, as the brilliant band name suggests, a vanishing culture. More importantly, this album really smokes. from cduniversetrax:

"Slow Grind Fever" Vol. 1 & 2 - 2014

Vol. 1:
Being a part time dj whose fave musical period is the decade between 1953 and 1963 one can dig forever in a bottomless pit of great danceable uptempo tunes. Even after years and years of bringing new and exciting tunes to light there still are new finds every day who fill the dancefloors around the world for fans young and old.
We're talking Rhythm`n´Blues and the phase in the early 60s when it morphed into Soul (now called New Breed), as well as the genre that nowadays is labeled Popcorn – a midtempo style with a high groove-factor that was created in Belgium (of all places).
Of course, when filling the box for a dj night one selects the fast and highly danceable stuff and maybe a few slower tunes to send people home in the morning.
The Slow Grind Fever series was created after stumbling over a clubnight in Australia via the internet: „Melbourne's only slow dance party, where they play the slowest, spookiest, sweetest records they can find, and folks dance real slow in a haze of smoke and dim red light.“
Well, what a concept! The Soundcloud-mixes the three dj's posted pretty quickly convinced the Stag-O-Lee chief that this is very exciting and after a few mails with the guys who run the Melbourne night the Slow Grind Fever series was born. Long may it run...
There will be two limited edition LPs with 14-16 tracks each, released within 6 weeks. Once the second volume is released there will also be a CD version will all tracks of both vinyl volumes – 30 tracks and 79:30 minutes in case of Vol. 1+2.

Southern Culture on the Skids "Too Much Pork for Just One Fork" 1991 + "Clyde's Lament" 1990 - 7"/45rpm

Tickets wont be easy to get when this group comes to town. South Culture on the Skids is a North Carolina based rock group with a unique ability to blend country harmonies and lyrical themes with garage-rock sound and surf-style guitar. The Scots, as they are popularly called consider themselves as the walking, talking storybook of Southern folkways...Seven years after the release of its eponymous debut album, Southern Culture On The Skids returned with a fantastic collection of songs about food and sex dubbed Too Much Pork For Just One Fork. The record improves vastly upon the roots-rock boogie of the first album, with a little more sleazy groove and with a new rhythm section of Mary Huff on bass and Dave Hartman on drums. ~ Matt Carlson, All Music Guidefeaturing:

Buddy Guy & Junior Wells "Pure Raw Blues" 1953-1961

The Not Now label has released a number of great collections, and this set by Guy and Wells is near the top of the heap. It collects tracks from across both performer's years as working blues artists. The period sound is uniformly good. The packaging is the usual for these releases, with a short essay on Guy and Wells......Some blues fans will no doubt own most if not all these tracks already. But if you're looking for a good, inexpensive collection of some of both Wells' and Guy's music, this is a good place to start. Wells' smoother, r&b style vocals and Guy's more declamatory guitar and voice are in fine form here. And while Guy and Wells are paired on many of these sides, and are featured individually, also here are several other blues artists that fans will know. The backing bands of course vary, but these are smokin' authentic blues bands, steeped in post-war electric blues. You'll hear people like Louis Myers, Johnnie Jones, Fred Below, Otis Spann, Willie Dixon, and a number of other great players. Muddy Waters is here ("So All Alone"), along with Guy's brother Phil (no slouch on the guitar), and Elmore James. Waters played an important part in helping shape both Guy's and Wells' styles, and James' slide playing on the early "Eagle Rock" is likewise a good early example of Chicago blues.
While familiar tracks like "First Time I Met The Blues" (Guy), "Hoodoo Man" (Wells), "Junior's Wail" (Wells), "Come On In This House" (Wells), "Messin' With The Kid" (Wells), "I Got My Eyes On You" (Guy), and a few others are here (and should be), there's a number of other tunes that add a lot of depth and insight into both performer's styles. Also included are a few live tracks (check out Guy's version of "The Things I Used To Do") that give this collection a deeper edge into post-war electric blues.
Even if you already own most of these tracks (like me) this is still a great little collection of prime big city blues from two of it's major players along with many others who accompanied both Guy and Wells. And if you aren't familiar with one or both of these performer's music, this is a good place to get acquainted. (Stuart Jefferson, Blues World)

This is the second release in our new series showcasing R&B vocal groups from different parts of the US. This collection features The Edsels from Ohio, The Eldorados from Chicago The Counts from Indianapolis, and The Turbans from Philadelphia. Features the A and B sides of all The Counts early singles for the very first time on one CD in the UK. Plus all the hits and more you would expect from all of the groups including: 'Rama Lama Ding Dong', 'At My Front Door', 'Darling Dear', 'When You Dance' and 'Sister Sooky'.The second release is Jasmine Records geographic look at doo wop features The Edsels (whose name probably seemed like a good idea at the time), The El Dorados, The Counts, and The Turbans, all four of whom had at least one major hit (all included here of course) during the golden age of doo wop. The Edsels get 10 cuts, including the biggie Rama Lama Ding Dong and the ballad You Do Love Me, and the rest of Disc 1 shows off the considerable skills of The El Dorados, who were good enough to merit an original LP (with a classic cover) in the 1950s when black vocal groups were usually relegated to the 78 or the 45rpm format. Their At My Front Door, which always ends too soon, is the very idea of cool made vinyl, or in this case, plastic encased aluminum. Indiana's own The Counts get the lion's share of Disc 2, and although they only had one hit (Darling Dear), it's a wonder they didn't have more commercial success. The Turbans take the last dozen sides, their massive hit When You Dance among them. Decent booklet notes too. Can't wait until the Jasmine label tackles the South. Keep 'em coming fellas. Deniz Tek "Outside" + bonus 1994

Outside was the first album with the enduring line-up of Deniz, Jim Dickson, Kent Steedman and Nik Rieth. Deniz had sent tapes in advance and the sessions started immediately after the 24-hour trip from Montana to Sydney. Although Deniz had known Jim from the 70's, he had not met Nik and Kent until the first day of rehearsals at the chaotic wire and equipment strewn Smash Studios. The recording took place at Electric Avenue…...All the backing tracks were recorded live, at stage volume. This was a departure from the more structured approach of Take It To The Vertical. Deniz used the same Marshall Mk2 50 Watt head he used in England with Birdman in 1978, preamped with a Hughes and Kettner Tubeman.
The band recorded Sunday through to Thursday, flew somewhere for shows on Friday and Saturday, then returned back to the studio. This pattern was followed for 3 weeks. A crash course in recording and touring as the Deniz Tek Group. - from: http://deniztek.com/discography/768/dt_outside.htmlMusicians:

Southern Culture On The Skids "First Album" 1985 + "Rock-A-Hula-Rock" 1984 - EP

This band originating in North Carolina has had several genres-be-damned albums, with their music being referred to as "halter-top pop" or "honky-tonk tear-in-the-beer music"Since 1985, Chapel Hill singer / guitarist Rick Miller has been leading his merry band of North Carolina trash merchants, dressing up in hillbilly threads but playing bugeyed rock'n'roll, instrumentals, R&B and country swill with a lurid sense of humor, abundant skill and true historical dedication. The trio takes a loose and evidently well-meant minstrel-like approach to its Appalachian heritage, walking a strange line between the poles of taunting and exploiting a widely disrespected people. Southern Culture on the Skids' records do neither, but simply take what they know and bend it into a cheerful caricature of a colorful personality.
The first album (also known as First Album) combines refried hillbilly twang and hot rod instrumentals with a slight nod to the Cramps: see such lo-fi wheelies as "Psycho Surfing," "Primitive Guy" and "Atom Age Trucker." It's almost touching that "Demon Death" helps itself to the Outer Limits theme. - from trouser pressEach of the band members is almost a caricature of southern stereotypes:

"Doo Wop Across America" New York & Connecticut 1953-1957

This is the first release in our series showcasing R&B vocal groups from different parts of the USA. This collection features The Willows, The Valentines and The Fiestas from New York and The Nutmegs from New Haven, Connecticut. Includes all the hits the four groups enjoyed including 'Church Bells May Ring' by The Willows, 'Lily Maebelle' & 'Woo Woo Train' by The Valentines, 'A Story Untold' & 'Ship of Love' by The Nutmegs and 'So Fine' & 'You Could Be My Girlfriend' by The Fiestas. Fully detailed liner notes with biography and career achievements. (Jasmine)The first in Jasmine Records' series where they gather doo wop groups by geography rather than by label (which sometimes has the same effect, sometimes not), rates high marks if only for providing an excuse to listen to tracks such as Willows' Church Bells May Ring and Baby Tell Me. The first 15 tracks (an album's worth!) belong to various incarnations of The Willows, and the second 15 to The Valentinos. Disc 2 is split between The Nutmegs (one of the finest doo wop outfits on the East Coast) and The Fiestas. The set includes all the hits (regional and otherwise) for each group and plenty more. A successor (?) to the late great and sadly out-of-print Relic Records doo wop series. (JC, Roots & Rhythm).trax disc 1:

Tav Falco's Panther Burns "The World We Knew" 1987

Pass the hatchet! For folks who prize unspoiled simplicity in rock'n'roll (and especially in rockabilly), Tav Falco's Panther Burns may be the ultimate band. On the early records, his voice drenched in echo, Falco goes through a familiar repertoire of Presley-derived whoops, mutters and coos, while an amateurish backing ensemble that often includes Alex Chilton grinds away laboriously like high-school rockers struggling through their first rehearsal.Chilton's revitalized production and playing on The World We Knew helps make it one of Falco's all-time best showings. Using a rotating collection of sidemen, the carefully annotated songs — a scholarly combination of R&B, Sun rockabilly, blues and other wondrous musical inventions ("desert skulk fugue; decorticated cycle tune; the Stuttgart, Arkansas sound," to quote the liner notes) — get a thorough and affectionate workout that remains surehanded without ever slipping down off the rustic funk meter. (There are no originals on this non-didactic history course.) All concerned sound as though they're having a blast, and that feeling comes right through the speakers. [Jon Young / Terry Rompers / Art Black]Panther Burns:
Tav Falco: voice, guitar / George Reinecke (also of Busted Flush): guitar / Ross Johnson: drums, tap drums / Rene Coman (also of The Iguanas/New Orleans): bass / LX Chilton: vocals, bass, guitar, marracas, cymbal / Jim Spake: saxophone / Ron Easley (aka Durand Mysterion; also of the Country Rockers): guitar / Roy Brewer: violin / Lisa McGaughran (aka Lisa Burnette on one compilation; also of The Hellcats/Memphis): backing vocals / Lorette Velvette (real name: Lori Greene; also of The Hellcats/Memphis and The Kropotkins): backing vocals

"Motorcycle Gang"

The original concept of collecting similar tunes together is getting might arbitrary but with a hot selection like this I wouldn't complain too much. There are a few motorcycle songs though like She's A Bad Motorcycle by the Crestones, Motorcycle by Tico & the Triumphs (featuring a young Paul Simon) and Dave Diddle Day's Motorcycle Mike . Four-wheel fun includes Dennis Penna's Battle Of The Duals and Johnny Roane's Drag Strip Baby . There are lots of rockin' classics here, most prominently Dwight Pullen's Teenage Bug & Sunglasses After Dark , Myron Lee's Homecide , Terry Daly's You Don't Bug Me , Norman Witcher's Somebody's Been Rocking My Boat , etc. A strong collection for sure. (AE, Roots & Rhythm)The central theme here was apparently at some point motorcycle songs, although only about half of the 31 songs here ended up being motorcycle songs. Those tracks alone, however, make this collection very unusual to start with. And the lineup of songs and players includes a name that was to become famous a few years later -- Paul Simon in his Brill Building period working under the moniker Tico & the Triumphs, doing "Motorcycle," and an original credited to J. Landis. The music almost all moves like nobody's business; Kenny Loren's "Brenda," David Orrell's "Be My Baby," Bill Starr's "Grizzly Bear," Little Montie Jones' "Your Just That Kind" (a hillbilly-type number), Terry Daly's screaming "You Don't Bug Me" -- even though they don't have anything to do with motorcycles -- fit okay. Dennis Pena's "Battle of the Duals" returns us to the central theme in top form, with a great beat, strong guitar playing, and clever lyrics; this could've been the prototype for the Beach Boys' "409." As for "Motorcycle," Paul Simon sings it like a real punk, and despite the use of a publicity photo that seems to be for Tom and Jerry, Art Garfunkel is not on this record. The instrumental "Short Rod" by Connie & the Bellhops is more impressive in some ways, and Dwight Pullen's "Sunglasses After Dark" is also more memorable. Darrell Rhodes' "Runnin' and Chasin" is a fair variation on "Slippin' & Slidin'," and Bill Pollard's "Nitespot Rock" could've given Jerry Lee Lewis a run for his money if it had been on a bigger label than Ozark. Lee McBridge's "Confusion" has an intro almost too close to Carl Perkins' "Honey Don't" for its own good, and that's its most effective element; Norman Witcher's "Somebody's Been Rockin' My Boat" is fresher with its mix of guitar and sax.(Bruce Eder, Allmusic)A cool rockin’ 50’s & 60’s intsro collection from this legendary label. http://www57.zippyshare.com/v/gaQ4yajx/file.html

"A Ball Tonight"

Some call it a ball, some call it a party but whatever you want to call it just make sure it swings. If you put this volume on the box you'll get some prime rug dusting. Hot footers include Larry Donn's That's What I Call A Ball , Darryl Vincent's Wild Wild Party , Ray Campbell's A Ball Tonight , Val Volk's There'll Be A Rockin' Party Tonight , Reggie Perkins' Saturday Night Party , Elroy Dietzel's Teenage Ball , etc. Mixed in are hip shakers like Bertha Lou by Johnny Faire, Chicken Walk by one man party Hasil Adkins, Rock-N-Bones by Elroy Dietzel, Is This The Place by the Royal Lancers, Pretty Kitty by Reggie Perkins and much more with hardly a loser in the bunch. (AE, Roots & Rhythm)Picture this -- it's like 1956 and you're playing in some band down south or in one of the border states, thinking of really making it in the music business, and there's this rock & roll that all of the kids are buying, and it's got a beat and you've got the voice to pull it off the way that "hillbilly cat" from Memphis is doing it, so you and your band get a local businessman to back you for one single, and then there's two hundred bucks blown and the record never charts, or even makes it into stores more than a few miles from your hometown, but it gets you some gigs just having it out. And then Buffalo Bop comes along 40 years later and gets hold of it all and throws these records onto a CD like this. That's what Buffalo Bop is about, gathering together rockabilly's ersatz and also-rans, 30 songs at a time, and delivering the music up whole at the end of the 20th century. These releases have no notes, just a few surviving publicity shots where they exist (which help explain why a lot of the decent sounding acts here didn't make it -- they sounded okay, but they didn't look the part). The songs on this collection are pretty much all decent (and many better than decent) hot rockabilly. Though some of it is derivative, the artists all had special approaches to their music or their songs, and better-than-decent bands working with them. These records, issued on labels like Vaden, Sandy, Reb-bel, Circle C, Rocket, Surf, Northway Sound, Gem, Cascade, and Air, will never figure in any "official" history of rock & roll, because they're too raw, and few of these players ever made it anywhere near '60s "respectability"; a few, like Hasil Adkins and Jerry Irby, turn up in truly comprehensive accounts of '50s rock & roll. The 30 songs here conclude with a couple that point the way toward surf music. The sound quality is astonishingly good, given the variety of sources (all 45 originals) that were involved.(Bruce Eder, Allmusic)

The Mourning After "Tall, Dark & Gruesome" 2014 + "Do Your Thing" 1993 - 7"/45rpm + "Doin' me in" 1994 - 7"/45rpm + "Don't Know My Name" 1995 - 7"/45rpm + "One Plus One Is Three" 1995 - 7"/45rpm + "Diggin' Your Own Grave" 1997 - 7"/45rpm + "Day Tripper" 1999 - 7"/45rpm + "Can Ya Feel My Pain" 2009 - 7"/45rpm

The return of the knights of fuzz!!! 27 years, countless 45s and one classic album release after they first started, THE MOURNING AFTER are back on the track with their brandnew longplayer "Tall, dark & Gruesome" A passion for 60's Garage / Beat / R n B was the catalyst that bonded the band in 1987......This passion was evident at their debut gig at The Take Two club in Sheffield after which they were offered a residency playing with all the charting indie bands of the time...PRIMAL SCREAM, PSYCHIC TV, SPACEMEN 3, MY BLOODY VALENTINE etc. They quickly became THEE live band to watch in the north of England and in one case literally brought the house down when a show at The Broken Doll in Newcastle had to be stopped after the ceiling caved in from the weight of the crowd jumping around.
As reputation of their frenzied gigs spread Captain Sensible came to see for himself. As the band staggered off stage he immediately asked them to record an LP for his DELTIC record label. Around the same time Rudi Protrudi asked Chris (they'd become friends after the bands had played 3 shows together) if he would join THE FUZZTONES. Although flattered Chris stayed with THE MOURNING AFTER and the band hit Wemeenit Studios in Barnet. The session produced by Captain Sensible and engineered by Steve Broughton (THE EDGAR BROUGHTON BAND) resulted in 14 tracks being recorded in a day. All seemed to be going great for the band until a phone call outlining DELTIC had gone bankrupt brought them back to earth.
MYSTIC BEAT RECORDS heard of their plight and started a 2 year battle to get back the tapes from the Wemeenit session as the band continued to gig up and down the UK. Upon aquiring the tapes it was found most of the guitar and vocal tracks had been wiped off and had to be recorded again. This was done in Sheffield at Ian Burdons (THE HUMAN LEAGUE) home. Photo's and artwork were sorted and the record pressed. Then for reasons that remain a mystery to this day, the owner of MYSTIC BEAT shelved the LP. Apart from a handful of promo copies it still sits in boxes above a record shop in Sheffield. Undefeated The Mourning After bounced back releasing 10 singles over the next 5 years and continuing to perform their wild shows until 1999 when after the closure of most of the great live venues in the UK they called it a day.
THE END... or maybe not? Out of the blue in 2008 TRYPTIC RECORDS contacted the band and asked if they had any material for a single. The band who had remained friends recorded 3 tunes and followed it up with tours of France and Spain. Enjoying being back together they returned to Purple Pit Studios and recorded their 2nd LP. So, get ready for some of the wyldest organ driven, fuzz-drenched psych-punk ever to come out of the UK.
This album is a true hip-shakin' sixties garage a go-go masterpiece and a must have for all you followers of the prehistoric caveman-stomp of bands like the MUSIC MACHINE, THE SHADOWS OF KNIGHT, THE TASMANIANS, THE FUZZTONES, THE SATELLITERS and the STAGGERS out there. Buy, beg, borrow or steal "Tall, Dark & Gruesome" and find out for yourselves what all the FUZZ is about. - jpctrax:

Teisco Del Rey "Plays Music For Lovers" 1996

I've always suspected that this guy has a few screws loose along the way - who else would have an instrumental tribute titled "Hermanos Alou," adedicated to Felipe, Manny and Jesus Alou, I ask you? - and by the time you get to the last four or five tunes on this disc (which includes a Link Wray number, "Theme from Lawrence of Arabia" and closes with Brian Hyland's wimpy but beeyooteeful "Sealed with a Kiss"), you're convinced that if the guy isn't totally loopy, he's coming from a place where cranking a reverb unit to 11 and playing "Squad Car" is much more than just a genre choice, another hip bandwagon to climb aboard. And in the grand tradition of neato instrumental albums the world over, this baby also comes with one very cool cover, too. Somewhere, Hank Marvin and Nokie Edwards must be very proud, I just know it. - Cub Koda, All Music GuideA 13-page instrumental love letter from the cheese wizard of the electric guitar. Sure to get that special someone very hot and extremely bothered. The el cheapo guitar king is back with another instrumental masterpiece! Like The Many Moods of..., this new disc explores many sides of instrumental music. Teisco's ace guitar and guitorgan skills are ably supported by his regular band, the Nut Rockers (featuring twangmaster Rick Rawls, bassist Pierre Pelegrin and the thunderous Lisa Pankratz on drums) as well as some special guests. Learn to do "The Madison," swoon to "Sealed With a Kiss" and stand at attention for Teisco's interpretations of "The Barber of Seville" and "Lawrence of Arabia."
