Dimentia 13 "Dimentia 13" 1985

The group "Dimentia 13" is named after an early Francis Ford Coppola film. The band is from Ohio and it existed for 6 years and released 6 albums. They were influenced by the likes of Syd Barrett and The Electric Prunes. - discogs“Syd Barrett acolytes from Ohio! This tasty goblet of swirling, bubbling psych slips down a treat. The heavily acid etched instrumental ‘Lysergic Mental Vibrations’ is an excellent contrast to the more whimsical joys of the opening ‘We Are’ and the aquatic lunacy of ‘I Am A Whale.’ Over on side two, ‘Last In Line’ is a pretty flawless Chocolate Watchband respray job while ‘Colors’ employs backwards tape jiggery-pokery as an eerie voice creeps in and out of the mix having escaped from somewhere you probably don’t want to know about. ‘Psilocybin Spot’ fulfills the same role as side one’s ‘Lysergic…’ and is as effective. Finally, ‘The Lizard’ is an acoustic based trip into the mynd of the vocalist who is driven to bizarre flights of fantasy by a brief, and unexpected, FX bombardment. Sensibly, and probably to avoid the unwanted attentions of like minded space cadets, the band members remain anonymous and the murky photo on the sleeve adds to the mystery of this wickedly warped caboodle of crazed vignettes.” –Jon Storeytrax:

ZZ Top

These are things I took from the internet - not my rips - they are 320

Bootlegs = Goodlegs is from 1980 the title should tell you what it's about, but there is more info contained in the file.

http://www78.zippyshare.com/v/UxN5PuHb/file.html

Live at Sunfest 2010 - I don't know much more than that

http://www77.zippyshare.com/v/Q7J5Evfs/file.html

The Beginning of ZZ Top is a compilation of tracks from the bands the trio were in before forming ZZ Top.

http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/xlS7ttBP/file.html

There are some other bootlegs out there - none worth downloading in my opinion. I'm gonna let it rest a while unless I see a request I can fulfill.

Hi, I am on the search for Roy Montgomery - Inroads: New and Collected Works (2007). Any links I have found elsewhere are long dead and so I would be sincerely grateful to anyone who can help. Many thanks in advance

Btw, for those wishing to sample some of Montgomery's other work, there is a couple of working links here: http://www.thesirenssound.com/2011/07/20/roy-montgomery-the-allegory-of-hearing/

Info:
Beat, Schlager

Following two Funky Fräuleins compilations (2009 and 2011), the time has come for the Beat Fräuleins. Back we go, deep into the '60s, when the beat forced its way into the innocent world of German schlager, when the rhythm grew hotter and the lyrics sharper, the drums louder and the guitar more distorted. Beat Fräuleins brings together 19 highlights of the era. Brigitt's career began in the GDR, continued in the West in 1968 and ended at the age of 28. Her track features fantastic exotica and a brave arrangement using only percussion, bass and whistles. Motown's luminaries can head to the back of the queue with Joy & The Hit Kids. This is soul in its finest form, with the greatest soul voice that Germany has ever produced. Marion Maerz was the ultimate Beat Fräulein and this track shot to number 6 on the charts. Dominique's track addresses the topic of youth criminality. Anita Weibel's track is a solid, Germanized version of Johnny Tillotson's "Please Don't Go Away." Patty Pay's track is a splendid little soap opera, penned by Ralph Siegel. Caterina Valente lands here in a feminist pose: promoting female autonomy and leaving the men no chance. Ingela Brander was an actress, a singer and a saxophonist. Inga Rumpf's Sonny & Cher adaptation is an example of her extra-curricular solo activities in 1967. Conny Froboess sings a suitably unromantic song about being jilted. The track by Monique And The Lions was discovered in the CCA archives. It didn't and doesn't get any more garage than this in the Schlager world. The original: "Bus Stop" by The Hollies. James Last himself composed Dorthe's jaunty number and Ruth Brandin was one of the most successful GDR vocalists of the 1960s until the Stasi wanted to enlist her. Ruth refused -- effectively ending her career. Chris Doerk was another hugely popular singer from the GDR, best known as one-half of the duo Chris & Frank, here with a laid-back organ dance number. The Jacob Sisters cover The Supremes' "Stop! In The Name Of Love" before Simone lets out a beat number and Pitty Und Ihre Beatchicks boost the merits of teenage love. Another James Last-penned track from Renate Kern is a real foot-stomper before Wencke Myhre contemplatively concludes this compilation, wallowing in a grand orchestral arrangement that is sure to melt any heart. Hello,

THE DEFECTORS - TURN ME ON! (Bad Afro Records 2004) FLAC or @320

Oh yes, this album turns me on! This is a wet dream for DJs (like me), because you can take every song from this album! The mix of 60s garage, psychobilly, psychedelic & rock'n'roll is just fantastic! My absolute favoured of the Defectors! Another great band from Copenhagen. The drive of the songs is perfect, the melodies absolute catchy, the sound fantastic & they are not cought in styles, you also hear a vintage drummachine in one track... and great vintage organs as well (in most tracks!)! The rest is much more 60s influenced. Try it if your head is open & you like to move!

(37:47) (09/10) Joachim Hiller
(http://www.ox-fanzine.de/web/rev/36780/reviews.207.html)

The Danish music scene is in better shape than ever and The Defectors from Aarhus is Bad Afros best bet for a Danish garage rock band with focus on good melodies covered in loads of fuzz guitar. The Defectors started in late 1997 and have two albums out on ESP-Recordings. Their new 3rd album was recorded at the Delta Lab studio in Copenhagen with Thomas Troelsen at the helm.
Turn Me On! is a bold attempt at expanding the limits of an often conservative genre and The Defectors takes some chances. From the creepy "Sleepwalking" that sounds like a psychotic nightmare to The Defectors very own definition of dub with a garage twist in the head-boppin' "The Zoom-Out". Not forgetting garage pop in "It's Gonna Take Some Time" that features Lorenzo from Baby Woodrose on backing vocals. Originally released on LP and CD.
