"Battle Of The Garages" Vol. 4 - 1986 - Tomorrow The World

This is THE original garage series started by Greg Shaw in the mid-80s. The world garage scene outside of America. The 1980s brought a resurgence of interest in 1960s Psychedelic/Garage rock that arguably had its epicenter in Los Angeles with the “Paisley Underground”. Greg Shaw of Bomp! Records, after success nurturing the Pebbles compilations of obscure 1960s home-grown singles, created Voxx records to document the best of the ’80s Garage revival, and created the compilation series Battle Of The Garages to show off the cream of the croptrax:
1. Good Times - The Cannibals 2. Haunted House - The Otherside 3. Femme Fatale - Les Thugs 4. Bad Little Girl - The Surfadelics 5. She'll Always Be Mine - The Klepstones 6. Drugged Personality - Sex Museum 7. Strychnine - The Legendary Golden Vampires 8. Listen - Bad Karma Beckons 9. Everynight - The Last Drive 10. I Want Love - The Sick Rose 11. Viaje Al Norte - Los Negativos 12. Thinkin' About Today - The Green Telescope 13. April Danger - The Birdmen Of Alkatraz 14. Free Again - Los Coronados 15. Let It Shine - Les Flamingos

davetuba, thanks for the Chi-Lites.

As Dave has posted Vols. 1 and 2 of their complete recordings, would anyone still like me to upload the Vol. 1 files I have? If so, it could be the weekend by the time I do it.

Cheers

I'm in search of THE REBEL KIND: A COLLECTION OF UNDERGROUND ROCK AND PSYCHEDELIA that came out in 1983 on Sounds Interesting Records, at about the same time as the first volume of "Battle Of the Garages". It featured the Long Ryders, The Unclaimed, The Last, True West and others. Thanks in advance.

Hey Mark R,
surely I have "THE REBEL KIND" on wax and it is a good follower of "Battle Of The Garages"!
See you tomorrow

ps.: "Lucifer Sam" by True West is only on CD as a bonus

Thanks Psyclist

The Arlo Guthrie is a great share.

I missed him when he toured OZ so this is a great addition.
