Star Trek is an American science fiction entertainment franchise created by Gene Roddenberry and owned by CBS (TV series) and Paramount Pictures (Film Rights).Star Trek: The Original Series and its live-action TV spin-off series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise as well as the Star Trek film franchise make up the main canon. The canonicity of Star Trek: The Animated Series is debated, and the expansive library of Star Trek novels and comics is generally considered non-canon, although still part of the franchise.
Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise, centered on a film series created by George Lucas. It depicts the adventures of various characters "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away".
The first film in the series, Star Wars (later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope), was released on May 25, 1977 by 20th Century Fox and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. It was followed by the similarly successful sequels The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983); these three films constitute the original Star Wars trilogy. A prequel trilogy was later released between 1999 and 2005, which received a more mixed reaction from critics and fans, compared to the original trilogy. All seven films were nominated for or won Academy Awards, and were commercial successes, with a combined box office revenue of $4.38 billion, making Star Wars the fourth highest-grossing film series. The series has spawned an extensive media franchise—the Star Wars expanded universe—including books, television series, computer and video games, and comic books, resulting in significant development of the series's fictional universe. Star Wars also holds a Guinness World Records title for the "Most successful film merchandising franchise." In 2012, the total value of the Star Wars franchise was estimated at USD $30.7 billion, including box-office receipts as well as profits from their video games and DVD sales.

Comparisons can be made by using a comparative or a superlative. This lesson is on comparisons, in both comparative and superlative form. In this lesson I'm going to show you how to make comparisons with adjectives, the exceptions, so the irregular forms comparisons with adverbs, and obviously the exceptions there, a construction that we call as and as and when to use as or like. Now let's get started. What is a comparative? A comparative compares two things, usually in combination with the word than. My sister is taller than me. The superlative compares three or more things usually in combination with the. She is the tallest of them all. So where the comparative only compared me my sister, with the superlative my sister is compared to everyone and we have concluded that she's the talles...

Hello world! Sorry about the long time without any uploads, but I had to spend some time dealing with life ;) But good news, I am back with a space themed video similar to my first upload, which became quite popular. I hope I was able to convey my fascination. Enjoy Music: "Black Vortex" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

Epic is the property of Fox entertainment and Blue Sky Studios. This comparison reel is a bit different than those I've done before. To help students understand the blocking process further, I've added a "storytelling poses" section that shows each shot in the earliest phase of exploring acting decisions. As always, the comparison reel is meant for educational purposes only. Epic was far and away my most enjoyable film experience to date, and I am extremely proud of the work I was fortunate to be cast on... from the smallest shot to the largest shot. In addition to my animation responsibilities, I was character lead on the main character Mary Katherine.
Rio is the property of Fox entertainment and Blue Sky Studios. The Comparison Reel is meant for educational purposes to demonstrate to animation students the process of shooting reference, blocking an animation, splining/polishing an animation, and final lighting for a feature film.
This is a simple side by side comparison of the final cut vs pre-VFX from my music video SUPERNOVA. It isn't necessarily a super comprehensive breakdown, as I unfortunately could not access a number of original assets, but I think this at least serves as a good idea of how much work went into the final result. Especially considering this is pretty much my first VFX work. I can't even count how many times my computer and/or After Effects crashed on any given day. haha Enjoy! Recently I was asked why we sell seemingly similar lights at such different prices. The easy answer is that they offer different lensing, which means different performance. But I thought there had to be a better way to quantify and qualify that, so I made a chart that lays out some of the technical differences such as number of footcandles at a given beam spread. That’s easy, as it can be gleaned from any manufacturer’s website. So I also set up a comparative display of three lights to show qualitatively their differences. I compared the Lowel Pro 200w, Arri Junior 150w, and Dedolight 150w. Both the chart and the display are set up in our NY showroom
A quick video comparing the differences that the "Shape" parameters have on the behaviour of the default "Billowy Smoke" Simulations. Also a few little tests on the source attributes All settings are at default excluding the "Shape" parameters and division size which is 0.05 The source object is a basic sphere These are OpenGL flipbooks, not mantra renders, I'll be covering Pyro shading in a later video :) Took about 24 hours to sim all 36 wedges Nearly 1TB of .bgeo data..... Many thanks for watching!
