The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, sometimes colloquially referred to as MoTab or Tab Choir, is a Grammy- and Emmy Award-winning, 360-member, all-volunteer choir. The choir is part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) and its funding is provided by the sale of albums, concert tickets, licensing of recorded performances, and donations. The choir's current music director is Mack Wilberg.
Called "America's Choir" by U.S. President Ronald Reagan, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is made up of 360 men and women; all are members of the LDS Church in good standing. Although many choir members live within close proximity of the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah, some members commute long distances for practices and the choir's weekly television and radio broadcast. Choir members are not paid for their participation or performances. There are often husband–wife combinations and some families have participated in the choir for generations.

The Salt Lake Tabernacle, also known as the Mormon Tabernacle, is located on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Tabernacle was built to house meetings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), and was the location of the church's semi-annual general conference for 132 years. However, because of the growth in the number of conference attendees, general conference was moved to the new and larger LDS Conference Center in 2000. In the October 1999 General Conference, church president Gordon B. Hinckley gave a talk honoring the Tabernacle and introducing the new Conference Center. Now a historic building on Temple Square, the Salt Lake Tabernacle is still used for overflow crowds during general conference. The Tabernacle is the home of the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and was the previous home of the Utah Symphony Orchestra until the construction of Abravanel Hall. It is the historic broadcasting home for the radio and television program known as Music and the Spoken Word. In 2005, the Tabernacle was closed for two years of intensive renovations that greatly increased its ability to withstand earthquakes. It was reopened and rededicated by Hinckley during the Saturday afternoon session of the church's general conference on March 31, 2007. The Museum of Church History and Art opened an extensive display on the Tabernacle as part of the rededication of the historic edifice.
Encore(s) may refer to:
A choir (/ˈkwaɪ.ər/) (also known as a chorale or chorus) is a musical ensemble of singers. Choral music, in turn, is the music written specifically for such an ensemble to perform. Choirs may perform music from the classical music repertoire, which spans from the Medieval era to the 2010s, and/or popular music repertoire. Most choirs are led by a conductor, who leads the performances with arm and face gestures.
A body of singers who perform together as a group is called a choir or chorus. The former term is very often applied to groups affiliated with a church (whether or not they actually occupy the choir) and the second to groups that perform in theatres or concert halls, but this distinction is far from rigid. Choirs may sing without instrumental accompaniment, with the accompaniment of a piano or pipe organ, with a small ensemble (e.g., harpsichord, cello and double bass for a Baroque era piece), or with a full orchestra of 70-100 musicians.
The term "Choir" has the secondary definition of a subset of an ensemble; thus one speaks of the "woodwind choir" of an orchestra, or different "choirs" of voices and/or instruments in a polychoral composition. In typical 18th- to 21st-century oratorios and masses, chorus or choir is usually understood to imply more than one singer per part, in contrast to the quartet of soloists also featured in these works.
Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Formed in 1996, the band rose to international fame with their debut album Hybrid Theory (2000), which was certified diamond by the RIAA in 2005 and multi-platinum in several other countries. Their following studio album Meteora continued the band's success, topping the Billboard 200 album chart in 2003, and was followed by extensive touring and charity work around the world. In 2003, MTV2 named Linkin Park the sixth-greatest band of the music video era and the third-best of the new millennium.Billboard ranked Linkin Park No. 19 on the Best Artists of the Decade chart. In 2012, the band was voted as the greatest artist of the 2000s in a Bracket Madness poll on VH1. In 2014, the band was declared as the Biggest Rock Band in the World Right Now by Kerrang!.
Having adapted nu metal and rap metal to a radio-friendly yet densely layered style in Hybrid Theory and Meteora, the band explored other genres in their next studio album, Minutes to Midnight (2007). The album topped the Billboard charts and had the third-best debut week of any album that year. The band continued to explore a wider variation of musical types in their fourth album, A Thousand Suns (2010), layering their music with more electronic sounds and beats. Their fifth album, Living Things (2012), combines musical elements from all of their previous records. Their sixth and most recent album, The Hunting Party (2014), returned to a heavier rock sound. The band has collaborated with several other artists, most notably with rapper Jay Z in their mashup EP Collision Course, and many others on the remix albums Reanimation and Recharged. Linkin Park has sold over 68 million albums worldwide and has won two Grammy Awards.
Just a small clip of the crowd noise/volume into blurred start of encore. Camera auto focus couldn't keep up and i was more interested in the performance then the stupid camera. But it gives me a nice vibe moment. Great crowd Toronto. Been awhile.

More than 300 members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and 65 members of the Orchestra at Temple Square wrap up a seven-city summer tour in western Europe, with 90-minute live performances that were scheduled from June 29 through July 13, 2016. The music ranged from classical choral to American folk and gospel music to well-known songs of stage and screen. “We are thrilled that international audiences are enjoying the musicianship of the choir and orchestra in person,” said choir president Ron Jarrett following the first few concerts. “There’s nothing quite like it.” As they began their three-week tour, the Utah-based performers, goodwill ambassadors for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, received standing ovations at sold-out venues in Berlin and Nuremberg, Germany, and Vien...

Introduction In 1977, at the height of his solo-career, Greek singer Demis Roussos, reunited with Vangelis to work in his next album 'Magic'. Together with Lucas Sideras (and also shortly Argyris Koulouris) Demis and Vangelis had formed the successful group Aphrodite's Child, back in 1968. After the break-up around the release of their last album '666' in 1972 all band members pursued a solo-career, and moved in different directions. For 'Magic' however Demis and Vangelis joined forces again, and for Demis it was the start of singing in several languages. Pearland High School Choir banquet video 2011-2012
For your Christmas listening consideration, a full length budget label Christmas gem, "Little Drummer Boy." This was a typical "cash-in" effort with a copycat version of the Harry Simeone hit (itself a copycat rendition) with a generic choir recording of probably an earlier release. In typical budget label fashion, this LP was reissued every few years with a different jacket. The particular version I have was issued as part of a Caroleer series on Caroleer Records (a subsidiary or holiday label of Diplomat records.) I had this record as a kid & never particularly liked it, outside of the title song, as it is comprised mostly of "churchy" music and there was no mention of Santa, elves, reindeer, etc. As an adult, I appreciate that many of the most beautiful carols are presented here. It en...
