Reproduction (or procreation) is the biological process by which new individual organisms – "offspring" – are produced from their "parents". Reproduction is a fundamental feature of all known life; each individual organism exists as the result of reproduction. There are two forms of reproduction: asexual and sexual.
In asexual reproduction, an organism can reproduce without the involvement of another organism. Asexual reproduction is not limited to single-celled organisms. The cloning of an organism is a form of asexual reproduction. By asexual reproduction, an organism creates a genetically similar or identical copy of itself. The evolution of sexual reproduction is a major puzzle for biologists. The two-fold cost of sex is that only 50% of organisms reproduce and organisms only pass on 50% of their genes.
Sexual reproduction typically requires the sexual interaction of two specialized organisms, called gametes, which contain half the number of chromosomes of normal cells and are created by meiosis, with typically a male fertilizing a female of the same species to create a fertilized zygote. This produces offspring organisms whose genetic characteristics are derived from those of the two parental organisms.
Crash Course (also known as Driving Academy) is a 1988 made for television teen film directed by Oz Scott.
Crash Course centers on a group of high schoolers in a driver’s education class; many for the second or third time. The recently divorced teacher, super-passive Larry Pearl, is on thin ice with the football fanatic principal, Principal Paulson, who is being pressured by the district superintendent to raise driver’s education completion rates or lose his coveted football program. With this in mind, Principal Paulson and his assistant, with a secret desire for his job, Abner Frasier, hire an outside driver’s education instructor with a very tough reputation, Edna Savage, aka E.W. Savage, who quickly takes control of the class.
The plot focuses mostly on the students and their interactions with their teachers and each other. In the beginning, Rico is the loner with just a few friends, Chadley is the bookish nerd with few friends who longs to be cool and also longs to be a part of Vanessa’s life who is the young, friendly and attractive girl who had to fake her mother’s signature on her driver’s education permission slip. Kichi is the hip-hop Asian kid who often raps what he has to say and constantly flirts with Maria, the rich foreign girl who thinks that the right-of-way on the roadways always goes to (insert awesomely fake foreign Latino accent) “my father’s limo”. Finally you have stereotypical football meathead J.J., who needs to pass his English exam to keep his eligibility and constantly asks out and gets rejected by Alice, the tomboy whose father owns “Santini & Son” Concrete Company. Alice is portrayed as being the “son” her father wanted.
The reproductive system or genital system is a system of sex organs within an organism which work together for the purpose of sexual reproduction. Many non-living substances such as fluids, hormones, and pheromones are also important accessories to the reproductive system. Unlike most organ systems, the sexes of differentiated species often have significant differences. These differences allow for a combination of genetic material between two individuals, which allows for the possibility of greater genetic fitness of the offspring.
In mammals, the major organs of the reproductive system include the external genitalia (penis and vulva) as well as a number of internal organs including the gamete producing gonads (testicles and ovaries). Diseases of the human reproductive system are very common and widespread, particularly communicable sexually transmitted diseases.
Most other vertebrate animals have generally similar reproductive systems consisting of gonads, ducts, and openings. However, there is a great diversity of physical adaptations as well as reproductive strategies in every group of vertebrates.
500 is a year, 500 AD. 500 may also refer to:
The State University of New York at Fredonia (also known as SUNY Fredonia and Fredonia State College) is a four-year liberal arts college located in Fredonia, New York, United States. It is a constituent college of the State University of New York.
Fredonia was one of the state teachers' colleges traditionally specializing in music education, but now offers a large number of programs in many areas, including a growing graduate division. The most popular areas of study include communication, music, education, and the social sciences. There are 82 majors and 41 minors.
The Fredonia campus, located in Chautauqua County (southwest of Buffalo) was designed by prominent architects I.M. Pei and Henry N. Cobb in 1968.
Opened in 1826 as Fredonia Academy under its first principal Austin Smith, the academy enrolled eight students. The first classes began on October 4, 1826. Within one year the Academy had 136 students, 81 boys and 55 girls.

Human reproduction is complicated an important, and it's going to take a four part series for us to cover it. Today, we're kicking that off with the female reproductive system, starting with how sex hormones affect oogenesis and ovulation, continuing through how the ovarian and menstrual cycles mature and release oocytes, and create a comfy uterine environment for a fertilized egg. Reproduction (2007) by Maru Ituarte This work is an apologia of the generative and creative attribute of women. It features a double layered image: excerpts from Fritz Lang's “Metropolis” (1927), have been projected onto the naked body of the pregnant artist. Once the body is recognized, it becomes persistent by dividing the viewer's attention between the image and the bodily details it reveals, until symbiotically body and image become one. The surface of projection of the film becomes an active subject of interpretation of the image, alchemically reproduced with new meanings.

A Sequence of Lines Consecutively Traced by Five Hundred Individuals is an online drawing tool that lets users do just one thing - trace a line. Each new user only sees the latest line drawn, and can therefore only trace this latest imperfect copy. As the line is reproduced over and over, it changes and evolves - kinks, trembling motions and errors are exaggerated through the process. A Sequence of Lines Consecutively Traced by Five Hundred Individuals was first created as a tool to be used in conjunction with Amazon’s Mechanical Turk - an online labor market. Mechanical Turk workers were paid 2 cents to trace a line.
This is a small pitch piece I completed a couple years ago whilst at Jellyfish for another inside the body show for the BBC. Fellow TD Dan Upton contributed animation and additional modelling to this early pitch sequence and he remained at the studio after my departure to continue working on sequences such as this. First thing in the morning, still sleepy
I took the directory and started to dial
Just as experienced as I wanted to look
Though it was my first time
You were still lying there in my bed
And said it made you feel so bad
I said, "Don't worry, what should you do instead
Sit next to me holding my hand"
What if something really grew in me
Some hours that night? How ironically beautiful
And still that is just what it is all about
We did what we were supposed to do
All this sorrow, all this pain
Just about one thing
Come tomorrow, come today
Still about one thing
I was taking these pills with a certain pride
Although they made sick and faint
Like I already knew there would be no next time
I made the most of what remained
I remember I wished something was still there
When I checked to be sure
Seems I could have paid with any pain in my despair
To tell you something you couldn't ignore
What if something really grew in me
Some hours that night? How ironically beautiful
And still that is just what it is all about
We did what we were supposed to do
All this sorrow, all this pain
Just about one thing
Come tomorrow, come today
Just about one thing
All this pleasure, all this joy
Just about one thing
All these words and all these songs
