JPEG (/ˈdʒeɪpɛɡ/ JAY-peg) is a commonly used method of lossy compression for digital images, particularly for those images produced by digital photography. The degree of compression can be adjusted, allowing a selectable tradeoff between storage size and image quality. JPEG typically achieves 10:1 compression with little perceptible loss in image quality.
JPEG compression is used in a number of image file formats. JPEG/Exif is the most common image format used by digital cameras and other photographic image capture devices; along with JPEG/JFIF, it is the most common format for storing and transmitting photographic images on the World Wide Web. These format variations are often not distinguished, and are simply called JPEG.
The term "JPEG" is an abbreviation for the Joint Photographic Experts Group, which created the standard. The MIME media type for JPEG is image/jpeg, except in older Internet Explorer versions, which provides a MIME type of image/pjpeg when uploading JPEG images. JPEG files usually have a filename extension of .jpg or .jpeg.

Hello! If you are reading this, you have probably committed an atrocity! Assuming that you are using Windows XP, it is a (mostly) stable operating system that is still used past its "expiration date." However, like many of the other stock programs that Microsoft ships with their OS, Windows Paint is not always the best choice when editing images to be posted on the internet. Much of the original quality of images can be lost when exporting directly from Windows Paint. It can still be avoided, however, by exporting/saving your image as a .PNG, and NOT a JPEG. This rule may not apply to Windows Vista or 7 as far as I know. Also not sure about Macs or Unix OSes.

Created by Nils Hoover Music is Gotye - A Distinctive Sound Please look beyond the people in the pictures, in my mind its much more about the gestures and the motion. Scrolling through my photos in adobe bridge (a program to help organize photos) I noticed that there would be little moments of motion, looking at my photos chronologically. One day I finally just started putting this together. As it was coming together it started to shape into a pseudo biography of my life over the last few years. I feel like there is a lot more I could have done with it, but I just needed to finish it. After working on it (on and off) for a few months I couldn't really handle it any more so i just finished up some little things that bothered me and I exported it. So here it is.
The live jpeg glitch plugin has gotten some pretty heavy optimizations over the past few days. Optimized double buffered asynchronous GL read-back, better threading and reduction of memory copies means 720p glitching at 30 fps on my 3 year old Mac Book Pro. Still more to do... The Quality parameter is the jpeg compression amount, 0 for very low quality, blocky glitches, or higher for more clean, higher quality compression and possibly different looks (especially above 90%). Glitch Offset is where in the memory of the encoded jpeg you will put your errors. Use this to move the glitch around the frame. Glitch length is the amount of bogus data to re-write in the jpeg. The longer, the more blocks and possible complete decoding failures (going to gray after a certain amount). Keeping this s...

Eww
Silver cans and bronze coloured dirt
Silver cans and bronze coloured dirt
Things ain't so soon near the parking lot moon
Silver cans and bronze coloured dirt
She said let's call it quit
Let's not call it the end of the world
Call it what you will, I'm heartbroken still
Words are just words
Road salt on I 95
Road salt on I 95
Forget what your told, it's bound to get cold
Road salt on I 95
I call today a disaster
She calls it December the 3rd
Call it what you will, I'm heartbroken still
Words are just words
On a brief and star stricken night
On a brief and star stricken night
I called her name on the road from Spokane
On a brief and star stricken night
I hear a blue heaven crying
Some folks just call it a bird
Call it what you will, I'm heartbroken still
Words are just words
Some call an end a beginning
For right now, they'll go unheard
Call it what you will, I'm heartbroken still
