Diana Ernestine Earle Ross (born March 26, 1944) is an American singer, songwriter, actress and record producer. Born and raised in Detroit, she rose to fame as a founding member and lead singer of the vocal group The Supremes, which, during the 1960s, became Motown's most successful act and is to this day America's most successful vocal group as well as one of the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. As part of the Supremes, Ross most notably rivaled the career of The Beatles in worldwide popularity, and her success made it possible for future African American R&B and soul acts to find mainstream success. The group set a record scoring twelve number-one hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 including the hits "Where Did Our Love Go", "Baby Love", "Come See About Me", "Stop! In the Name of Love", "You Can't Hurry Love", "You Keep Me Hangin' On", "Love Child" and "Someday We'll Be Together".
Following her departure from the Supremes in 1970, Ross released her debut solo album, Diana Ross, which contained the hits "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)" and the number-one hit "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". She released the album Touch Me in the Morning in 1973. Its title track reached number 1, becoming her second solo hit. By 1975, the Mahogany soundtrack included her 3rd number-one hit "Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To)". Her 1976 album Diana Ross included her fourth number-one hit "Love Hangover". In 1979, Ross released the album The Boss. Her 1980 album Diana which reached number 2 on the Billboard albums chart and spawned the number-one hit "Upside Down" and the international hit "I'm Coming Out". After leaving Motown, Ross achieved her sixth and final number-one hit with the duet "Endless Love".

The video shows the artist's silhouette dancing to Diana Ross 'upside down', among videos of men masturbatonig that were sent directly to her through what she describes as 'active engagements'. The title 'Show me what I asked for' refers to a text message that is shown on the artist's recorded computer screen at the beginning of the piece before the music and dancing starts. The title is intended to ask the question of who is watching who? Is it the female artist that desires the headless self- objectified men, or the male characters desiring her body? Take a trip back to the old school with some of the biggest musical influences to many of us such as Sister sledge , Blondie , The Doors , Donna summer , David bowie as well as many talented modern day artists such as Greg wilson , Dr packer , Late nite tuff guy , Psychemagik and many more. All these classic tracks have been edited and received the rework treatment making them sound fresh for todays dance floors. With a bpm ranging between 100 - 118 it all builds nicely with funky baselines and sexy vocals . We also thought it would be a cool concept to do a video to go with the mix with all the original music videos...

Moments after the two surviving original Supremes Diana Ross and Mary Wilson appeared briefly onstage at Motown the Musical on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Sunday, April 14, 2013, the ladies planted a kiss on Motown Founder Berry Gordy's cheek at the Roseland Ballroom after-party. The two Supremes have not appeared publicly together as band members since Motown 25 in 1983.
The one and only time Whitney Houston & Diana Ross sang together. Here's their beautiful rendition of Carole King's "You've Got a Friend". Motown Diva Diana(71 years young) Ross and her band, in their very first Honolulu concert, were just simply spectacular and at their best, including her famous lavish, glitzy, colorful big costume changes. Everyone, from a few little kids to seniors on wheelchairs and walkers in the jammed-pack arena, were more than happy. The only problem was that the music was at ear-shattering levels causing distortion in my camera's audio system, but overall it was still a terrific show. This video is just the first 30 minutes of a one hour and 45 minutes show. See another of my YT posting for the final hour of this concert. This Diana Ross concert is a Rick Bartalini promotion.
This month marks the 35th anniversary of Diana Ross' concert at The Forum in Inglewood, CA. The show was taped on February 5, 1981 for her CBS television special, entitled 'Diana', which would air a month later. Scenes from the concert were alternated with studio recordings, starring Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Larry Hagman and Mohammed Ali. Fans at The Forum were able to enjoy Miss Ross for many hours, as it took the entire evening to complete the recordings.

It was recorded on April 9, 2000 at New York's Madison Square Garden and first aired on April 11, 2000. Diana Ross requested the concert be recorded as time constraints for the airing of commercials would not allow enough time for her to change costumes. The well-received show took a mammoth 6 hours to record. This special also marked the introduction of Lynda Laurence and Scherrie Payne as Supremes, who were touring with Diana Ross. Laurence and Payne were Supremes during the 1970s. Headliners: Diana Ross Mariah Carey Donna Summer Faith Hill

Mary: I gotta change shoes. Mary: Okay, there we go. Now, that’s so much better. Stuart: Ladies and gentlemen, obviously, let’s begin at the beginning. Normally, the protocol is that we give people a round of applause at the end of the event. In this particular case, we’re going to break with all the protocols, because I know a lot of people that are in the audience, I’ve seen faces, I’ve seen people with reputations in the audience, and I think that all of us can say, unanimously that, Mary probably doesn’t really deeply understand how much impact her singing and her reputation has had in our lives, the way it’s shaped the love that we’ve got for the music. So, ladies and gentlemen, Mary Wilson of The Supremes, come on. [applause] Stuart: So, where to start? Let’s start with a quick q...
Probably hailed as one of the most important songwriters of her generation, Brenda Russell’s music has touched a nerve with both her fans as well as musicians that have recorded her music for well over 30 years. The Brooklyn, New York native returned home to perform at The Blue Note Jazz Club’s 30th Anniversary performance celebration featuring the George Duke Trio. Grammy-Award Winning bassist/vocalist Esperanza Spaulding and drummer Terri Lyne Carrington backed Mr. Duke and Miss. Russell in what would be two sold-out nights of fire-filled jazz and R & B. In 1977 the music world would begin dancing to a music group out of New York City that would be played in the all the discos. Guitarist Nile Rodgers, drummer Tony Thompson, and bassist Bernard Edwards would become a driving force to soul music behind the scenes in rock and eventually other popular music genres. Chic was disco’s last swan song although Nile and Bernard would continue the lush orchestrations and slick funk productions throughout their musical partnership. Along with vocalist Norma Jean Wright, Chic produced a catalogue hits that remain a staple all house, techo, and dance disc jockeys and producers all over the world. It was 1973.
For the past 10 years I've been "on the road" with Ms. Diana Ross, going from one concert to another just to see how it would be like to be on a schedule going to one place to another. I didn't go to EVERY concert but enough of them to come away with a new found appreciation for those whose live their lives touring....and it's tiring! But also exhilarating, breathtaking and adventurous. The places I went to were incredible from New York to Denver to Montreal and Atlanta and I've met some wonderful people along the way who shared the same passion as I...even more so! A writer, Tom Adrahtas, who I had the pleasure of meeting, wrote a book about her passionate fans titled, 'A Diva and Her Tribe' which is a good read and a fascinating insight into the influence, and yes, healing power th...

Diana Ross, Live on The Midnight Special 1976
One of my favorite disco track of all time. I have this remix for a while now and I hesitate to make a video between this one and the MAW of the Braxtons. I used some footage from Diana's love hangover and the boss Live on The Midnight Special 1976, Whitney Houston's tribute to Diana Ross, and the Braxtons videoclip, because the first time I heard this song was through them in 1996. Enjoy it guys!

There is some "stalling" in a few places, but it doesn't break the sequence of the video. The video is shorter than 1:34:13, about maybe 10 minutes, just move along once you hit the credits at the end. I don't have time to fix it.
This month marks the 35th anniversary of Diana Ross' concert at The Forum in Inglewood, CA.
Russell moved to Hamilton, Ontario when she was a teen and was bitten by the music bug by her parents who were professional musicians while living in New York. Although Hamilton was a major cultural adjustment for her, she got her first...

The song was a hit, peaking at number five on the U.S. Pop Singles chart. Go with what I've sent you... Someone to love
Heaven must have sent you to me
And I'm not gonna let you go back
I'm gonna love you till the stars don't shine
And angels start dressing in black
I wanna shout "Hallelujah"
Oh, heart I've finally fooled ya
Somebody strike up the band
I've got a good, good feeling
Doobedood'ndoo doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
Oh, doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
Oh, doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
I love you, yes I do
Doobedood'ndoo
I just started living
The day you started giving your love to me
And now music feels my soul
It sounds just like a rock 'n' roll symphony
Listen to the music in my soul
Ahhhh...
I see words inside your eyes
They beg me not to leave
Could it be we might have passed
On the same road to loneliness
Let us put bad memories
Of our past up on the shelf
(And leave it there forever)
And give ourselves a second chance
To enjoy love's priceless wealth
Don't it make you wanna shout "Hallelujah"
When you're feeling love go through ya
Somebody strike up the band
Here it comes again
Doobedood'ndoo doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
Oh, doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
Oh, doobedood'ndoo doobedood'ndoobe doobedood'ndoo
I love you, yes I do
Doobedood'ndoo
