Mechanicsville is the name of several localities in North America:
Mechanicsville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hanover County, Virginia, United States. The population was 36,348 during the 2010 census.
The area was settled by English colonists starting in the 17th century. Rural Plains, also known as Shelton House, is a house built in the early decades of the eighteenth century. It is now owned and operated by the National Park Service as one of the sites of the Richmond National Battlefield Park.
In "Old Mechanicsville" stands a stone windmill, now a landmark in the village. The building was constructed as a "Heritage Bank" branch office in the 1970s. In 2007-2008, it was restored and enlarged by a new bank occupancy. The "windmill" is decorative and driven by an electric motor.
Mechanicsville is associated with several major battles and numerous minor skirmishes during the American Civil War.
In addition to Rural Plains, Clover Lea, Cold Harbor National Cemetery, Cool Well, Hanover Meeting House, Hanover Town, Immanuel Episcopal Church, Laurel Meadow, Locust Hill, Oak Forest, Oakley Hill, Selwyn, and Spring Green are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Plato describes "The Form of the Good", or more literally "the idea of the good" (ἡ τοῦ ἀγαθοῦ ἰδέα), in his dialogue the Republic (508e2–3), speaking through the character of Socrates. Plato introduces several forms in his works, but identifies the Form of the Good as the superlative. This form is the one that allows a philosopher-in-training to advance to a philosopher-king. It cannot be clearly seen or explained, but once it is recognized, it is the form that allows one to realize all the other forms.
The first references we see in The Republic to the Form of the Good can be found within the conversation between Glaucon and Socrates (454 c–d). When trying to answer such difficult questions pertaining to the definition of justice, Plato identifies that we should not “introduce every form of difference and sameness in nature” instead we must focus “on the one form of sameness and difference that was relevant to the particular ways of life themselves” which is the Form of the Good. This Form is the basis for understanding all other Forms, it is what allows us to understand everything else. Through the conversation between Socrates and Glaucon (508 a–c) Plato analogizes the Form of the Good with the sun as it is what allows us to see things. Here, Plato describes how the sun allows for sight. But he makes a very important distinction, “sun is not sight” but it is “the cause of sight itself.” As the sun is in the visible realm, the Form of Good is in the intelligible realm. It is “what gives truth to the things known and the power to know to the knower”. It is not only the “cause of knowledge and truth, it is also an object of knowledge”.
The Good Fight is a 2008 feature-length documentary about the 2007 Florida State Football season.

As of January 2009, several screenings had been shown across the United States, but an official nationwide release date had not been announced.
Mechanicsville is a community at Downtown Atlanta that situates slightly to the West of Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves. The community of Summerville is to the East of the Turner Field and receives plenty of attention. Mechanicsville's only benefit is from Braves stadium up to Ralph Abernathy Blvd and Cooper street. There is plenty of foot traffic during the Braves home games, and they quickly walk through Mechanicsville after observing its condition. The Department of Public Works paints lamp posts, trim trees, adhere to sanitation schedules up to Cooper street, then stop and never come back out to finish the work they started. Even after telling us their original plan was to complete work up to McDaniel St. and Abernathy Blvd. Our elected officials do not encourage improvement ...

This video was shot prior to the storm going tornado warned. I was on the overpass on US Route 1 over Interstate 295 looking west in northern Henrico County, VA. I called in this wall cloud with rotation on the cell, as SKYWARN nets were not up yet. The storm continued east at a very slow 10 mph into Hanover County/Mechanicsville. https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v;=VDj-KmNVIZc&feature;=endscreen
