Marre des vidéos montrant Pac comme un visionnaire, un génie, voir un Dieu. Je respecte les chaînes Youtube visant à informer (correctement) et à faire perpétuer ses messages, ce que je fais moi même sur internet et aussi en dehors d'internet... mais a force de montrer ses bons côtés (aussi nombreux soient-ils) j'ai le sentiment qu'on tombent dans la surenchère, et de nos jours, surtout sur internet, trop de monde entre dans des délires et se serve de certain de ses idéaux pour divulguer leur propre message, qui eux n'ont defois aucun rapport avec le message initial. De temps en temps ca ne fait pas de mal d'arrêter de réfléchir un peu et de réatterrire un peu sur Terre. 2Pac est évidement un artiste extraordinaire et bien qu'il ai toutes les qualités requise pour pouvoir avoir un statut de « legende » 2Pac c'est aussi des musiques avec parfois aucun thème sérieux, aucun sujet profond, juste de l'ego trip et du sale. So, relax yo' brain, just some thuggism rap...
"Definition of a Thug Nigga" a aussi été sujet d'embrouille entre Pac et John Singleton, car elle figure dans la soundtrack du film Poetic Justice, ce que 2Pac ne voulait pas, justement a cause des paroles crus (qui ne colle, c'est vrais, pas tellement au message du film)... Pour info dans le 3eme couplet : "One-time" est une expression Américaine, c'est l'équivalent en Français de "22" (22 v'là les keufs).

Tupac Amaru Shakur (/ˈtuːpɑːk ʃəˈkʊər/ TOO-pahk shə-KOOR; June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an American rapper and actor. As of 2007, Shakur has sold over 75 million records worldwide. His double disc albums All Eyez on Me and his Greatest Hits are among the best selling albums in the United States. He has been listed and ranked as one of the greatest artists of all time by many magazines, including Rolling Stone which ranked him 86th on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He is consistently ranked as one of the greatest rappers ever, as well as one of the most influential rappers of all time.
Shakur began his career as a roadie, backup dancer and MC for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground, eventually branching off as a solo artist. The themes of most of Shakur's songs revolved around the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism and other social problems. Both of his parents and several other people in his family were members of the Black Panther Party, whose ideals were reflected in his songs.

California Love
"California Love" is a hip hop song by 2Pac featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman. The song was released as 2Pac's comeback single after his release from prison in 1995 and was his first single as a Death Row Records artist. This is perhaps 2Pac's best-known song and his most successful, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks (as a double-A side single with "How Do U Want It") and 5 weeks at number one in New Zealand. The song was nominated for a posthumous Grammy Award as a Best Rap Solo Performance and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group (with Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman) in 1997.
A popular remix version of the song appeared on his 1996 double album All Eyez on Me, the first double album in the history of Death Row Records.

The original version of the track was not available on any of Shakur's studio albums due to it being intended for Dr. Dre's shelved album The Chronic II: A New World Odor (Poppa's Got A Brand New Funk). But it can now be found on Shakur's compilation of Greatest Hits and on the United Kingdom version of All Eyez on Me. The original version also exists in extended form and is 6:29 in length. This particular version was never released to the public and is now only available on 12" promo vinyl records. Aside from the extended track being on limited quantities of vinyl promo records, very few uploads to YouTube exist of the original, 6:29-length extended song.

Je respecte les chaînes Youtube visant à informer (correctement) et à faire perpétuer ses messages, ce que je fais moi même sur internet et aussi en dehors d'internet... mais a force de montrer ses bons côtés (aussi nombreux soient-ils) j'ai le sentiment qu'on tombent dans la surenchère, et de nos jours, surtout sur internet, trop de monde entre dans des délires et se serve de certain de ses idéaux pour divulguer leur propre message, qui eux n'ont defois aucun rapport avec le message initial. De temps en temps ca ne fait pas de mal d'arrêter de réfléchir un peu et de réatterrire un peu sur Terre. 2Pac est évidement un artiste extraordinaire et bien qu'il ai toutes les qualités requise pour pouvoir avoir un statut de « legende » 2Pac c'est aussi des musiques avec parfois aucun thème sérieux, aucun sujet profond, juste de l'ego trip et du sale. So, relax yo' brain, just some thuggism rap... "Definition of a Thug Nigga" a aussi été sujet d'embrouille entre Pac et John Singleton, car elle figure dans la soundtrack du film Poetic Justice, ce que 2Pac ne voulait pas, justement a cause des paroles crus (qui ne colle, c'est vrais, pas tellement au message du film)... Pour info dans le 3eme couplet : "One-time" est une expression Américaine, c'est l'équivalent en Français de "22" (22 v'là les keufs). PS : L'audio du live ne correspond pas aux images...

Je respecte les chaînes Youtube visant à informer (correctement) et à faire perpétuer ses messages, ce que je fais moi même sur internet et aussi en dehors d'internet... mais a force de montrer ses bons côtés (aussi nombreux soient-ils) j'ai le sentiment qu'on tombent dans la surenchère, et de nos jours, surtout sur internet, trop de monde entre dans des délires et se serve de certain de ses idéaux pour divulguer leur propre message, qui eux n'ont defois aucun rapport avec le message initial. De temps en temps ca ne fait pas de mal d'arrêter de réfléchir un peu et de réatterrire un peu sur Terre. 2Pac est évidement un artiste extraordinaire et bien qu'il ai toutes les qualités requise pour pouvoir avoir un statut de « legende » 2Pac c'est aussi des musiques avec parfois aucun thème sérieux, aucun sujet profond, juste de l'ego trip et du sale. "Definition of a Thug Nigga" a aussi été sujet d'embrouille entre Pac et John Singleton, car elle figure dans la soundtrack du film Poetic Justice, ce que 2Pac ne voulait pas, justement a cause des paroles crus (qui ne colle, c'est vrais, pas tellement au message du film)... Pour info dans le 3eme couplet : "One-time" est une expression Américaine, c'est l'équivalent en Français de "22" (22 v'là les keufs).

LAS VEGAS — Almost two decades later, the death of rapper Tupac Shakur is still shrouded in elaborate conspiracy theories and speculation. But on the 20th anniversary of the night Tupac was shot, two paramedics who were at the scene have come forward with their version of events.
Jim and Shane, who are now firefighters for the city of Henderson, Nevada, were interviewed by CBS 8 under the condition that their last names were withheld. “Jim and I did everything that we could and gave him every ample … but the general public doesn't know that,” Shane said.
The two were posted nearby when they started following a swarm of police cars. The sirens lead them to a BMW riddled with bullet holes.
“Somebody met me at the back and said, ‘Go help my buddy,’ and, ‘My buddy's shot in the car.’ So, I went,” Jim said.
That friend was Marion “Suge” Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records and the driver of the BMW in which Shakur was gunned down. Knight suffered a grazing bullet injury to the skull.
“He wanted us to make sure that we took care of Tupac before him,” Jim said.
Jim and Shane were loading the downed passenger into the ambulance when bystanders began yelling Tupac’s name.
“I leaned over to the cop, and I go, ‘This guy has the same nickname as that rapper,’” Jim said. “The cop, you know, looked at me and leaned over and was like, ‘This is him.’”
The ambulance received a police escort to the hospital and three officers rode in the back. On the way to University Medical Center, Jim told Shane who their patient was.
Tupac Shakur succumbed to his injuries six days later at the age of 25.
“You realize how much of an influence he really did have and how big of a deal it was,” said Jim. “I guess I realize it more now than I did 20 years ago.”

In November 1993, Shakur and others were charged with sexually assaulting a woman in a hotel room. Shakur denied the charges. According to Shakur, he had prior relations days earlier with the woman that were consensual (the woman admitted she performed oral sex on Shakur). The complainant claimed sexual assault after her second visit to Shakur's hotel room; she alleged that Shakur and his entourage raped her. Tupac Amaru Shakur (/ˈtuːpɑːk ʃəˈkʊər/ TOO-pahk shə-KOOR;[1] June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac and briefly as Makaveli, was an American rapper, songwriter, and actor.[2] Shakur has sold over 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.[3] His double disc albums All Eyez on Me and his Greatest Hits are among the best selling albums in the United States.[4] He has been listed and ranked as one of the greatest artists of all time by many magazines, including Rolling Stone which ranked him 86th on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.[5] Consistently ranked as one of the greatest rappers ever, he was ranked number 2 by MTV in their list of The Greatest MCs of All-Time in 2006.[6] 2Pac is also ranked as the most influential rapper of all time.[7][8][9][10][11]
Shakur began his career as a roadie, backup dancer, and MC for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground, eventually branching off as a solo artist.[12][13][14] The themes of most of Shakur's songs revolved around the violence and hardship in inner cities, racism and other social problems. Both of his parents and several other of his family were members of the Black Panther Party, whose ideals were reflected in his songs.
During the latter part of his career, Shakur was a vocal participant in the so-called East Coast–West Coast hip hop rivalry, becoming involved in conflicts with other rappers, producers and record-label staff members, most notably The Notorious B.I.G. and the label Bad Boy Records.[15]
On September 7, 1996, Shakur was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane in Las Vegas, Nevada.[16] He was taken to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, where he died six days later.
Shakur's professional entertainment career began in the early 1990s, when he debuted his rapping skills in a vocal turn in Digital Underground's "Same Song" from the soundtrack to the 1991 film Nothing but Trouble and also appeared with the group in the film of the same name. The song was later released as the lead song of the Digital Underground extended play (EP) This is an EP Release, the follow-up to their debut hit album Sex Packets. Shakur appeared in the accompanying music video. After his rap debut, he performed with Digital Underground again on the album Sons of the P. Later, he released his first solo album, 2Pacalypse Now. Though the album did not generate any "Top Ten" hits, 2Pacalypse Now is hailed by many critics and fans for its underground feel, with many rappers such as Nas, Eminem, Game, and Talib Kweli having pointed to it as inspiration.[39] Although the album was originally released on Interscope Records, rights of it are now owned by Amaru Entertainment. The album's name is a reference to the 1979 film Apocalypse Now.
The album generated significant controversy. Dan Quayle criticized it after a Texas youth's defense attorney claimed he was influenced by 2Pacalypse Now and its strong theme of police brutality before shooting a state trooper. Quayle said, "There's no reason for a record like this to be released. It has no place in our society." Shakur stated that he felt he had been misunderstood.[40] He said, "I started out saying I was down for the young black male, you know, and that was gonna be my thang," Shakur said. "I just wanted to rap about things that affected young black males. When I said that, I didn't know that I was gonna tie myself down to just take all the blunts and hits for all the young black males, to be the media's kicking post for young black males. I just figured since I lived that life I could do that, I could rap about that."[41][42] The record was important in showcasing Shakur's political conviction and his focus on lyrical prowess. On MTV's Greatest Rappers of All Time list, 2Pacalypse Now was listed as one of Shakur's "certified classic" albums, along with Me Against the World, All Eyez on Me and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. 2Pacalypse Now went on to be certified Gold by the RIAA. It featured three singles; "Brenda's Got a Baby", "Trapped", and "If My Homie Calls".

He was later convicted of sexual assault and sentenced to one-and-a-half to four-and-a-half years in prison.
After serving eleven months of his sentence, he was released from prison on an appeal financed by Marion "Suge" Knight, the CEO of Death Row Records. In exchange for Knight's assistance, Shakur agreed to release three albums for the Death Row label.
