Moving in Secret

Moving in Secret is the first studio album of South Korean girl group Secret. It was released on October 18, 2011 by TS Entertainment. The title track, "Love is Move", was released on October 17, 2011.

Background and release

On August 28, 2011, TS Entertainment revealed that Secret would release their second full-length album in Korea before returning with "Shy Boy" in Japan in November 2011. On September 9, TS Entertainment confirmed that Secret would make a comeback with their second full-length album sometime in October, joining Girls Generation, Kara, T-ara, Brown Eyed Girls, IU and Wonder Girls with the same promotion cycle in late 2011. On October 11, TS Entertainment revealed that the title of their second full-length album is Moving in Secret and their new song would show Secret's confident and sexy side. The same day, the official album cover and tracklisting were unveiled, and their agency revealed that the producers for their comeback song, titled "Love is Move", were Kang Ji Won and Kim Ki Bum, the same producers of their previous hits such as "Magic", "Madonna", "Shy Boy" and "Starlight Moonlight". They added that "Love is Move" is a pop dance song that has "enhanced Secret's colors" and will have an "addictive chorus plus strong beats". The official music video for "Love is Move" was released on October 17, 2011, with the album release the next day.

Show! Music Core

Show! Music Core (Hangul: 쇼! 음악중심; hanja: 音樂中心; RR: Syo! Eumak Jungsim) is a South Korean music television program broadcast by MBC. It airs live every Saturday at 3:50PM KST. The show features some of the latest and most popular artists who perform live on stage. It is currently hosted by Kim Sae-ron and Kim Min-Jae. It is broadcast from MBC Dream Center in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

History

Prior to the current Show! Music Core, numerous music programs with similar content were aired on MBC. Below is the list in chronological order.

Live Music Camp was cancelled due to a broadcast accident of revealing genitalia.

After a brief hiatus, Show! Music Core began airing on October 29, 2005 with charts similar to its predecessors. However, the charts were removed on January 7, 2006 and continues to air without any charts or awards. Even without the weekly chart award, the show was known for its special production and stages.

From 2007 to 2008, a Mobile Ranking segment was used to rank the popularity of songs downloaded to mobile phones and from online music sites.

Secrecy

Secrecy (also called clandestinity or furtiveness) is the practice of hiding information from certain individuals or groups who do not have the "need to know", perhaps while sharing it with other individuals. That which is kept hidden is known as the secret.

Secrecy is often controversial, depending on the content or nature of the secret, the group or people keeping the secret, and the motivation for secrecy. Secrecy by government entities is often decried as excessive or in promotion of poor operation; excessive revelation of information on individuals can conflict with virtues of privacy and confidentiality. It is often contrasted with social transparency.

Secrecy in sociology and zoology

Animals conceal the location of their den or nest from predators. Squirrels bury nuts, hiding them, and they try to remember their locations later.

Humans attempt to consciously conceal aspects of themselves from others due to shame, or from fear of violence, rejection, harassment, loss of acceptance, or loss of employment. Humans may also attempt to conceal aspects of their own self which they are not capable of incorporating psychologically into their conscious being. Families sometimes maintain "family secrets", obliging family members never to discuss disagreeable issues concerning the family with outsiders or sometimes even within the family. Many "family secrets" are maintained by using a mutually agreed-upon construct (an official family story) when speaking with outside members. Agreement to maintain the secret is often coerced through "shaming" and reference to family honor. The information may even be something as trivial as a recipe.

MOVE

MOVE is a Philadelphia-based, self-proclaimed black liberation group founded by John Africa (born Vincent Leaphart) in 1972. The group lives communally and frequently engages in public demonstrations against racism, police brutality, and other issues.

The group is particularly known for two major conflicts with the Philadelphia Police. In 1978, a standoff resulted in the death of one police officer, injuries to several other people and life sentences for 9 members. In 1985, another standoff was ended when the police dropped a bomb on their compound, which was a rowhome in the middle of a city street; Osage Ave. This resulted in the deaths of 11 MOVE members, including the leader John Africa and 5 children, the destruction of 65 houses and widespread news coverage.

Origins

MOVE was originally called the Christian Movement for Life when it was founded in 1972. Its founder, John Africa, was functionally illiterate so he dictated a document called The Guideline to Donald Glassey, a social worker from the University of Pennsylvania. Africa and his contemporary, mostly African-American followers wore their hair in dreadlocks. They advocated a radical form of green politics and a return to a hunter-gatherer society while stating their opposition to science, medicine, and technology. As John Africa himself had done, his devotees changed their surnames to Africa to show reverence to what they regarded as their mother continent.
